More likely, people kvetch about it to the point others have to take a look and see how bad it is, see a genuinely cool game, and then sub without really ever looking at dates.

based on a recent discord statement i'd say its pretty well confirmed that there won't be an update in 2024.
he's probably busy working on the christmas update

I said it before, we'll probably see GTA6 on the PC before we see that first 1/3 of this game he said he was going to release whenever.
Oh and he actually decided to try to get help, something he should have did three years ago when momentarily flirted with five figures.
