I am admittedly happy to hear it's back to the old plan of just one huge update though.

Basically same. One thing Komi's haters got right is that he tends to make massive promises without following through.

I'll get hype when the update is actually released, or at least he says "It's done, and will be released on [specific date]". He's lost my trust with the vagaries, for the moment.

Just like I said on the Christmas update, I'll hold off on getting excited till Ch.1 is actually released. At this point, it's the only thing that makes a difference. I suggest everyone else to do the same.

Komi will likely never set a release date cause he really doesn't like accountability. His game is peak, but it'll likely only get to midway through chapter 1 in 2025 (if even that) then get dropped or revamped which'll take another 5 years.

The only new thing that really matters, is that he said he is trying to find artists, back then he wouldnt do it, it was always "i can do it alone", bro got reality check at least, there are plenty of ppl that hype that even if it takes 10 years to release an update, so pick that people and make them contribute to the game in some way, we cant deny you have a fanbase, so ask them for help not only for some arts, but other parts that you know it doesnt need to be you doing at all.

Its not about releasing an update earlier (it is in some way) , but picking your community help also makes them restore the little truth they could have lost

Existing content is counted as prologue not ch1. That's how it was even back when hope for an update still existed.

Bro could've hired some local talent (he's top 1% earnings in his country) for a small fraction of his patreon milk to finish this game. Hell he could've even funded a sequel or something for some easy cash. But he's too lazy to do even that. Better just keep raking in the dough with false promises, JPEGs and GIFs.

Brother, calling the dev out is fine, but at least do it for the right reasons. This game has been tagged Abandoned for a long time now, and a Patreon post doesn't remove the tag anyway, only a new update does. You are, indeed acting like a fool here.
