Yeah, agree. Just like the otaku culture in my country. The massive piracy and fansub scene since the 2000s really jumpstart everything up, so i understand the merit of piracy to some degree especially in getting words around. Also i already consider buying this game on Steam, after 40 hours of gameplay i think it worth the full price. Prolly gonna buy it when i have some more spendable money left next month. The 2nd game already looks promising with that many new characters, might even buy it on day one if it ever available on steam

Edit: NVM, i just bought it on Steam

Yeah, I never would've found this game either if not for piracy, since on one of these sites is where I first saw it mentioned. I always wind up buying DVD releases or whatever of things I pirate if I like them.

I'm glad you've found the game so enjoyable. From one die hard idiot, thank you for your purchase.

Slight clarification though, this is actually the second game. Rozeanights is the third. Game wise, Wardenlitte is the first released game, though timeline wise it's third in the series I believe. With the information I have right now, I don't have any reason to believe that the fourth game will do any kind of wobbly time jump, haha. Ehh, you can buy the first game on DLSite though it's in Japanese right now, although a friend and I are working on it while we wait for Rozeanights. (I'm always so uncomfortable rendering Japanese-styled place names in English, ugh.)

Ah, cool. Prolly gonna take a look at Wardenlitte later after you finish it. Home and Dungeon gave away so much lore surrounding the world, yet only show so little of it in the game. And personally i think a lot of them sounds very cool, i would really like to see them realized ingame to explore.

so... timeline wise: Rozeanights, Home Dungeon, then Wardenlitte? I kinda suspect when i first start playing Home Dungeon that Shiro seems to know her way around, well everything from politics, racial-culture, etc. Its quite clear that the game is not the first in the series, and it was reinforced a lot after Shiro spill a few more things about herself and her past. But now you are saying Wardenlitte is actually the continuation of Home Dungeon? Well, the devs is certainly onto something here with the timeline... even go as far as planning the 4th game already

Wardenlitte is a smaller piece, though I suppose in terms of sheer text, still a large amount more than you would see in a lot of games. It's a little more awkward to translate because the author was still finding their feet in the way plugins work, but it's still managable. There are no voices, but there's still a lot of really bizarre adorableness.

If you're interested, the actual title of the series is Sex & X. (So, Sex and Home Dungeon, Sex and Rozeanights, so on). Because Otaku Plan distributed the "safe for work" version, obviously, they needed to edit the name...and many of the outfits. Incidentally I just remembered everyone in here may be playing while having a censored Nyaika, so I'll go put those files in my handy post from a few pages back for people to use. It's probably too late for most folks but if even one person gets use out of it, then yay.

Home Dungeon, then Rozeanights, then Wardenlitte. My mistake. You can see a picture of a grown up Ryu-na on the CI-en page. Obviously, you'll find out soon why she's there if you haven't completed Home Dungeon yet. I think FruitSmoothie linked some stuff a few pages back. Or I can drop it here, really.

I don't know if you've picked up on some of the subtle things Shiro says, but as you might expect, given that it's Shiro, Rozeanights is probably going to be pretty damn depressing. There's always been an air of sadness superimposed over some happier moments. (the brutal rape of Rueme, juxtaposed over her basically becoming a mother to the cast), but that will probably suck even more.

Because Shiro is an adventurer, and because she's a human born of the mold of "humans can do everything", she's got a crap ton of knowledge, yes. She basically handwaves the knowledge as "Just what she learned in school", though. Having said that, I suppose the entirety of a person's race being pancaked might cause one to learn quickly. Shiro is her own person, rather than being just a stand-in for the player, so I think some people can find that offputting. I'm glad you don't seem to have an issue with that.

Yea, i saw the CI-en page right after posting here and noticed Ryuna with a different hairstyle. I'd rather wait and play Wardenlitte first coz the the devs seems to want Rozeanights be some sort of big revelation in the grand storyline. Kinda scary tho, it's rare for game devs to be able to pull something like this without having bunch of inconsistency. Hopefully they are able to pull it off with Sex & x.

Uhhhh????? Shiro is "The Human Race"? Anyway, i grew up in the 2000s and early 2010s playing Japanese RPG games that follows the story of a person as their own character. So it's quite normal for me to play games like these.

Also could you point me to the decensored Nyaika patch? I have only applied the sound and gallery fix included in the main post of the thread.

In the case of Rozeanights, you're right. It's largely about Shiro and Ryu-na's relationship but there's a few things that have been mentioned that tie back to the first game. So, I suppose it may be good to experience it like everyone else, haha. Well, we'll do our best to get that tidied up and translated for you! I get the impression you would prefer no spoilers so I'll keep my mouth shut.

In essence, while the answers may not be satisfactory for everyone, I think most of them are there.

Well, most of the humans were destroyed in The New Dawn. (It's called the Dawn of Joining in the translation, which makes perfect sense, this is just what the other guy had called it and I liked it, because it has kind of a more poetic, dramatic feel.), so, in a way, yeah. There are not a lot of humans left alive. I forget how much Home Dungeon delves into it, but I know there's a conversation dedicated to it. But she and her family and a handful of others are the only ones left.

Here you go! Just drop this into your game's Busts folder. Uhh, from whatever I've done to the copy of the game here, I've already got the Nyaika CG's sorted, so let me know if she's still censored in her scenes and we can fix that up nicely too.

I haven't got the event yet, prolly in a few more days. I don't know how Home Dungeon manage their events, but it must be close to those old Harvest Moon games which shot their events according to pre-determined flags and their states. I'll keep playing and it might pop in a day or two.

Mmmm, for Nyaika patch, i think it worked. Im just kinda surprised on how little they censor lol, was expecting some sort of even more revealing gyaru clothes and such. Why they don't censor Kunyu instead, or the other characters in that regard, kinda baffles me.

In essence, that's precisely right. The author likely has a flow to how they work -- but because it's been put in the form of a game, it would look incomprehensible to us. XD. I don't know about what conversations take precedence over others, just that there's a lot of story-progression /relationship progression flags involved.

As for the censorship, I guess it's down to personal opinion. I think Nyaika's is mostly fine, but still, original every time.

However, Mirotto...why? I mean maybe it's just me but... that one really bugs me. I mean, of course they did that to prevent people flipping out about child sexualization, I guess? (which is really weird given that the contents of the game don't actually change at all, even in the "Safe for Work" version. Even if it's not visually shown, it's still rape to begin with.)

I didn't really touch the "censored" version when i bought it, but damn, they really half assed the sprite censor lol. But i agree, it's prolly to stop people flipping out over the child sexualization when they enter the Steam page. The fact that the game's Steam page doesn't need age verification to enter is really a BIG testament on how hard they worked to make sure the game passed Steam's preview system as a normal game. I might try to boot a "censored" version after i beat the Pokemon Legendary birds rip-offs, just to see how well can they masked the rape theme of the game.

Ehh, age verification? Like, are there game pages on steam that force you to log in to verify your age or something? I'm one of those weird people who have never actually used Steam for more than five minutes or so. But that's pretty true.

To be fair, I do not believe that the content actually changes at all. Ahh, I think in Otaku Plan's release that the pornographic images are moved onto an additional patch. It looks like that's their safety net against being banhammered, but nothing else is changed. I say this because I'm pretty sure there are other games in their catalogue that are much worse that you can download the so called H-Patches for. And the games are still listed on Steam. So I assume the story content remains unchanged. In Home Dungeon it would just be the equivalent of playing with sex skip on.

At least, I wouldn't think it would be much different. Though I haven't tested it, at the end of the day, the "censored" version is essentially Otaku Plan's dominion, but the author still maintains the rights over their work, and I can't imagine them actually consenting to a re-write to avoid that. Well, if you do actually check and find out anything different before I manage to, please let me know, haha.

Also, Pokemon Legendary Bird ripoff? That's an interesting way to see that...although, I don't really know anything about Pokemon, either.

It's just a page asking you to enter your birth date really, similar to those "You must be 18 to enter" pop ups. You can also lie just like those pop up and enter a fake birthday date.

Yes they have a patch somewhere, i think, i didn't look, i just copied my pirated version over the steam file and overwrite it and it works fine even with the steam achievement system. I don't know how Steam categorize their tags and review submitted games, maybe they are fine if these things are just talked about in conversation. But then again the characters are still look like minors lol, kinda make me question Steam preview system. Again, i might check it out after i beat the Pokemon Legendary Birds ripoffs (Same concept really, just some sort of legendary elemental monsters). Might take a few irl days since i have other things to do right now.

Ah yes. Sorry about that, AkiraTepes had pitched another mention of digging into the files to fix it up, hence the aftercounter plugin as well. I think I made that tweak to mine, too, although, the game may still crash against orcs, so be careful. I haven't tested that a lot. Though, that's likely more to do with a potentially unrelated bug. Hoo boy.

I'm guessing, from most of the comments on here, help isn't not forthcoming. I can't figure out how to unlock all of the map. I know it has something to do with talking to your townsfolk but I keep getting the same conversation from them. And apparently I am still missing a bar and Soldiers for my town which I have no idea how to even get.

Hi. Made an account just so I can play this game and I've been loving it. Also my first ever post on this site.

I'm posting to ask for direction since I feel stuck atm. My characters are level 63 and I beat the boss of Cloud-Piercing tower (used shift to reach him without fighting the mobs since they are too strong for me)

1) The next area says a recommended level of 90. That's an absurd jump from the previous area which had a rec of 65. Did I miss something? I'm not sure how I can reasonably grind that high with no intermediate MDs.

2) My map seems to be full, in the sense that there's no clouds/sky still visible, however, I didn't get the completed map achievement. I have at least 3 of every raceXjob, 4 of each race of miners and solders, and 5 of each race of shepherds. I believe I've spoken to them all. Is this not the minimum to unlock everything? I've added my map and saves in hope that helps.

3) Future Fragments. I used the search feature on this site and it seems these fragments have a function, but even though I have two of them, I've yet to hear of the function in game. Also, there's still one home in the bottom left of my town still vacant. Did I miss something?

Wow, how many hours did it take? I think I am at 60 and havent even explored half of the map. I do enjoy the game and I might come back to it at some point.
I think Future Fragments are used to give Jobs to characters that they did not have? or that's what I assumed.

I'm at 96 hours, but I leave the game on a lot. Sometimes while I wash the dishes or go to the bathroom.

I'm assuming the same, but since I don't seem to be able to do that yet, I'm thinking I missed something.
