Does somebody know how to solve "Unusual texture resolution! It's recommended to use 4096x4096 for xxxx" when i try to use an overlay ?

seems i had some kind of driver problems, my system crashed randomely yday and after that i wasnt able to run 3840x2160 so i reinstalled nvidia drivers. now i can play honey select 2 in 4k without any lags
Illusion devs get a stroke when they hear "optimization". Thats why.

There's a memory leak. Delete/remove the file MoreAccessories.dll from the BepInEx\plugins folder. Should do the trick.
This has nothing to do with plugins. The GI and frankly the whole engine they glued together is just hilariously bad. They managed to achieve subpar graphics while eating double the resources most triple A titles need. I am not sure how they find their developers but my best guess is they just walked into the next circus and hired eveyone with a big red nose.
They didn't make the engine, they stopped using their own in 2014 and moved to Unity. The devs at Japanese porn game studios are usually college graduates looking to fill in the experience requirement that most mainstream studios require, then they leave for the mainstream after one or two projects so we never see growth. They do this because it is not favorably looked upon to work in a porn game studio in Japan. Some even lie to the people they know on the outside until they get into the mainstream just to save themselves.
Of course they dont use their own engine that they made from scratch. There is a reason they stopped using it. Still, when you make a project with Unity you build upon on it and the optimization is still in the hand of the Illusion developers. I have seen a good amount of junior developers stomping out new engines in a year that but this mess to shame.
But ultimately i dont even think they are not capable of doing a better job. Its just they dont care. The game runs (somewhat), people buy it and the rest will be fixed by the modding community. Bethesda esque
It is in their hands and they do care, just about what the only players that matter want. Japanese fans are the only ones they even look at and the Japanese fans want customization, which is where another issue comes in, Illusion spends a majority of development on any given project with building the customization aspect. The rest of us don't matter because, by the time it gets to us legally, the only way that matters to them, the game is already complete.

Better graphics, better customization, that sort of thing. This is the same type of game as the first Honey Select. Also, it isn't "every other damn game" as there are multiple that are not like this. The previous game is one of them and is where the graphical improvements came from as it shares engines with this one, which is a first. They usually don't use the exact same engine twice.
