I came here after seeing Honey Select 2. I'm sort of confused. I always hear Honey Select referenced as if it's a maker tool, like DAZ3D, but this appears to be an actual game that just happens to have a character creation tool. Is there another Honey Select product designed for making your own games, or do people just somehow hijack the character creator portion of this game? What's the deal?

Just double click the .bat like you would a .exe. Then let it do it's thing, it will tell you when its done.

is there a site where one can see other people work? pics/animations of new content like more than what the game allows? (people will have to use studio or Neo)
Sorry new here, I downloaded the 3 parts version and been through the pastebin link for modding. I have no clue how to install or which one to download for essential starting out modded gameplay. Is there a page for a guide on which mod I should install first? And how to safely install it. I downloaded both file on the translation section and found no guides included in the zip files. Thanks.

I change my previous stance. You can't replace the voiced personas without spending money.
You will need someplace relatively sound proof.. to record properly.. and she needs to the emotions and sequences right.. The full range that means you'll need temperature control and toys for her to play with and be completely silent.
I think you get the idea. Localization and languages will require a flexible and willing actress.
Honestly, finding a "timid" that is either "perverted" or "horny" to say those translations NATURALLY in North America is everyone's.. And I do mean everyone's wet dream.

I would say this one is better? For the reason that if you are willing to be part of the community and have knowledge of Unity3D (2018 Feb build and 2018 Apr build) they will will welcome you with open arms. Competency in building, fixing and adding on new things is always appreciated.. At least that was I was taught.
It's a cover... No one wants their real name associated with a PORN GAME. EVEN if you had a cooking show!?! It's still FOOD PORN..
And even though it's hypocritical to say humans don't have desires.. IF you want pure artwork go to DAZ.. If you want to PLAY with your creations (which most all normal people do.) then Unity3D and the last 2 Illusion releases are your best bet.

Yeah, other sites might be more toward body mechanics and just lighting. People here pretend that high brow aesthetic is more important? but don't be fooled.. The base low brow visceral needs is just as important. No shame in it as long as you aren't paying micro-transactions to fulfill your basic needs and desires. Technically? You COULD make a bunch of scenes in Ai-Syoujyo/Honey Select 2 then export the scenes to Unity3D to create an Graphics Designer portfolio.. but You have to realize... In house toolkits are the norm. Activision and EA have there own.. VAST vast vast vast libraries... Unreal pretty big. Unity is good as well.. Not a big as Unreal. but VERY good.
So what do you want out of this? EXACTLY... no, not being whatever. just trying to get you to answer this question for yourself. Personally, I like making beautiful ladies.. There is a serious lack of anything good in my area.

Yes its a very basic game but beside the main game the FR 3.5 pack contains also the StudioNEO tool which is basically the tool to load honey select characters from the game/cards and build a scene using maps and other 3D items to make screenshots from. The main advantage for me, is that it runs pretty smoothly on an average spec machine in comparison to 3daz and seems a bit easier to use. I believe you can use this to do character poses and animations. Heres a video that shows the basic idea:

I'm not sure what to make of this response to my question. I don't necessarily "want" anything specific. I'm just trying to clarify what Honey Select actually is, because I'm curious and a bit confused. I'll frame it in three more direct questions.
1. Does Honey Select have a complete built-in narrative that I could play through without creating my own stories?
2. Does Honey Select have an optional "scenario builder," where you can create your own characters AND stories?
(I'm picturing something roughly comparable to, for instance, Neverwinter Online's story creator mode. I'm not sure if that feature is still active, but that's beside the point.)
3. Does this mean that AVN's made using Honey Select could be described as more like machinima?

Are you looking to live in the world or just take a break from it. It's not an MMO with other players. The mod community is not ready to be able to create a built in "narrative".

AGAIN all very good questions however you'll forgive me that I'm... just... not in the mood.
We are talking about base desires. You get want you want out of it then walk away.

KIDDING! I'M KIDDING! Well... not about the bullet points. I'm very pleased you are taking a light-hearted approach and reading this completely. Unless you skipped to the bottom because "reading is hard". You know what is NOT easy? Structures in Computer Programming, OO design, Multiple Arrays, API's, and developer documentation. Unity3d is an amazing kit with a TON of free tutorials. I'm dead serious. It will put everything into perspective. A good Adult Video Novel is NOT light reading, especially if their are branching stories and choices are stored. Doki Doki Literature Club is ACTUALLY PRETTY FUCKING COMPLEX! AND IT GETS BETTER WHEN YOU MESS WITH THE FILES AS PART OF THE STORY!
My bad, the questions were a bit to focused for my liking and overall it's a subjective answer. At the same time many people don't expect or don't want the answers they get. (Another 10% just want to fight no matter what you say; so the biggest experience and overview of what "IS" is best).. The fastest way to get people pissed and argue with is if you express something as a absolute truth (even if it is). And If we are honest some of the shit that goes around these days is wild... (BTW, did you know that the Doctor that said "Gender is a social construct" LATER (about 1 year ago) said they "made it all up to see what would happen..")
Honey Select 1 doesn't have an entry to go too much into it as the manual is usually included in download or in game I don't remember exactly. The last 3(4) most recent titles have a big more fleshed out definition. Don't expect it to be on part with being inside a Sims instance. But the more time one spends the more unlocked range of positions can be performed.

Thank you for your thorough repeated attempts to answer my questions about Honey Select.
Okay, so I am guilty of failing to read the previous link to your other post (my apologies), and that was foolish of me. I didn't pay enough attention. I've read everything now, both this post and that one, and I can see that I totally deserved the slap gif. I laughed several times reading all this post. I didn't know what half the stuff you said was in the other post.
I perhaps, should have made this clear about myself: while I have considered making visual novels, I have very limited programming knowledge, and I am definitely not a modder, which I wish to make clear partly out of respect for the modding community. I did make a short text adventure once using Quest (Day Of Honor - The Temple), and I have successfully made a couple of scripts in RPGMaker XP (I was pretty proud of the new weapon category that let's bards make default attacks that inflict sonic damage to all opponents). Once upon a time about ten years ago, I read "C++ For Dummies" (all the way to the end!), so I kinda sorta can follow along when people talk about object oriented programming, but I would not call myself "fluent" in any programming language (there's a reason I use RPGMaker).
I will try to refrain from putting too specific a label on things myself, since that was your paradigm.
It sounds to me like the reason someone would use HS to make "their own" game stems from HS being very popular in the modding community, which is very different from my previous impressions of it.
As a game, it sounds like it is "the Seinfeld of sex simulators."
At this point, I suppose I will simply download it for the sake of knowing better what people are talking about when they reference it. I'm still not sure whether it is going to be something I'd really be into, and I doubt I would ever "make" anything with it myself, but it seems to be a somewhat unique entry in video game history, which is of interest to me.
