You can literally go to Steam to look at all the Indies and AA games that exploit the personality and dating sim mechanics that Artificial Academy offers. On the other hand... at no time have I talked about you...

Umm no, I can literally don't do that. On my side of the globe Steam bars me from such steamy content.
This is all correct(especially the bit of customization), but I think you didn't understand what I would mean by old and new players, because it definitely is a real part of this modern gaming era..
it's not that old players were better or more into deeper gaming per say.. but it is the case in the end, because society continues to advance in that direction.. fast, fast, fast, no one has time..
so they play CoD and stuff like that..
people didn't become like they are on their own, society and companies going after money and nothing else.. they are the cause..
if companies changed their goal and tried to make amazing games again that take effort and learning, then the customer base would drop off and only what I call the 'true gamer' would mostly buy the games..
no company with a brain would do this now that they know they can get away with low quality, high graphics, quick gameplay..
it's sad but it's true.. that great game era has almost ended, with the exception of a few good studios/companies
and Indie DEVs..
with that said, I've even changed over the years and it's society that changes us without us even realizing it because it's such a slow and constant effect over time on us..
I HATED casual games 10 years ago.. I MUST have depth, and amazing systems.. and innovation.. explore amazing worlds..
..and then I started having tons of trouble finding these qualities in games..
(on a side note, I never looked down on casual gamers though)
now, I still want and look for those things, but I believe my subconscious eventually realized that I had to make a compromise.. or I would never have a game that I could enjoy.. it's a bit sad, but reality is what it is..
..anyways, if it's over explained, my bad.. but I mostly think what you said was pretty accurate in the end.

U have to complete some of the achievements then unlock the all rewards finally u can get pal's room key for 5... cookies i guess? There is nothing special about room it's just the normal room. If u really wanna nail the Pal and don't wanna unlock the achievements just go to userdata/chara/navi in game files then take the pal's pic from there and copy paste in female document. U can sex with her whenever u want. I edit her character a little make her more... sexy if u want u can put this pic in your female document too. I just edit her hair styles and change her body a little.

As someone who's not been around for a new release from Illusion / Illgames / whatever, is it normal for them to have so few clothing options on release?
Like, there's going to be more, right? This isn't it?
I really hope they sort out the modding for this and they actually upgrade Studio Neo otherwise this game is going to die quicker than Battleborn did.

They have all the old assets from old koikatsu games, I wonder why they didn't put it. Probably they keeping all the personalities and clothing for DLCs. The map is pretty small for a Koikatsu game tho. Also UI and dialogs are so simple for Koikatsu games.

care to mention a few of those games , because I have yet to find an anime school simulator that does half what AA2 did right. I got more hours than I care to admit in game time just setting up different classes with multiple personality types and just watching how the classes developed over time. While other times acting as the guy that throws gas on a fire and watches as the class snowballs.

I tried the demo like few weeks back. Assuming nothing changed, it's literally just Koi with HS gameplay and slightly nicer graphics. There's not even any noticeable new features in the character creation, it's literally the same thing with a new "random generation" character feature that nobody even needed in the first place.
Nobody going to bother with this and rather just to stick with Koi thanks to the mods.
People are just going to backport the hair/clothes/map to KK and forget this even existed.
Anyone who has tried this, how's the chara studio? Is it the same? Any significant improvements?

How about you check the earlier Illusion games such as Oppai Slider, what matters for me with Illusion games was always the sex scenes and as they moved on, the customization ... gameplay always been serviceable eyt acting as if its Dark Souls ... kinda BS aint it?
That brings me to a point, the problem I have with Illusion is they started to skimp out of the variety of sex scenes, there is variation of the same position but not of positions themselves and this kinda why their latest games feel they stagnated as there are UI improvements (HS2 UI is superior to HS but still not great) but little else, its kind bad we have what? 4 scenes with 3 characters.
And again, the problem I had with KK is how I want to download a character and immediate lewd it, NOT beat Dark Souls so I can have a 20 seconds hand holding censored scene, mind I equal hated their Yuusha game because it ended up being nothing but a game to pose characters, what I and I guess most players want is customization of characters so we can make our Tifa and then mating press her as she ahego and switch to footjob, lets be honest about it because we only need to look at the pay mods and see exactly what people want in these games.

Anybody else unable to control the camera in the creator?
None of the usual camera controls you'd expect to work work and neither do any of the controls the manual you can access from the main menu says to use.

The new miconisomi game looks promising for sex oriented "gameplay" although god knows when it will be released.
