I'll be honest, that guide to fix the forest section blows.
All you have to do is copy the raw streaming asset files from the second folder into the streaming assets area of the first one and let it replace the file existing in the first folder already.
On a side note, its fucking stupid we have to even do this for a game with so little content.

i AGree and also this method is not working for me i never did the forest before because this option isnt working at all
I had an issue with the assembly file from earlier in the thread. Just use the base game one and it should run fine.

I am betting he is doing the exact same thing that we have been talking about for ages, not looking at the file path when unzipping.
The main game folder should look like this. If there is another folder in there, specifically HotM64, then it was unzipped in the wrong place and the data folder inside that HotM64 folder needs to be cut and pasted into this folder so that it can merge with the data folder.
Always look at the file pathing before just unzipping whereever you feel like and then say it doesn't work. This is why the guide on page 67 along with my post and another on the same page put it there.

No.
Unzip part 1 somewhere.
Then before you unzip part 2 you have to make sure that you are unzipping it to the right folder. If you just unzip it, it will place the data folder in the wrong place. Make sure to open part 2 1 more folder so that you see the Data folder and then copy the Data folder into the folder you unzipped the first one to (the folders containing the game exe that looks like that picture above).
The reason I have been saying this is that when they zipped these, they zipped both files into a HotM64Full folder, and so many people have just unzipped both files without looking at the folders they were unzipping so that the 2nd file instead of being merged with the 1st files data folder, it created a new folder inside the main game folder like this:
D:\HotM64Full1\HotM64Full2\Hounds of the Meteor_Data\
That entire folder is unzipped to the wrong folder which is why there is a folder in that directory called HotM64Full2.
The entire data folder inside that HotM64Full2 folder needs to be cut and pasted into the game directory so it can be properly merged.
