If you want to skip content immediately, click right mouse button on "skip" in quick menu. You'll immediately see the next ingame choice. Unfortunately the game doesn't recognize where the game content ends and this way after skipping the last available ingame choice you will return to the main menu. Just save your game after every "jump". Also, by clicking "back" you can back to the last choice.
