That option needs to come back at some point, but if it came back now the updates would have even less content, because there would need to be different dialogue, different CG's, and way more changes so it's not just a visual thing, and doing that alongside progressing the story would slow everything down.
Maybe once Tatsuki's POV is finished it will come back, or maybe after Hana's POV is finished, so it can be released all at once for both POVs, It would be remaking a lot of the game after all, just a little less work, as some things don't have to made from scratch, I do know that the option should be turned on or off at the start of a new game.
