I'm glad you guys are doing okay- dev and player. I originally found out about the project on 8chan. /htg and /hgg were great places to see nsfw game news before they went defunct. At the time, I genuinely thought IW would be an Akabur clone, but then I saw some of the backgrounds. I showed it to one of my also degenerate friends who agreed with me at the time that "If the gameplay matches the art, then it should be amazing by the end." The humor was rock solid. I have actually shown a few people the exploding bird and the ethanol scene to great response. Trust me, having a few weird friends is highly worth it.

Anyway, I'm not the kind of person who sees a Patreon game and expects it finished right now. I do have an expectation of what a finished product looks like and what kind of content I want to see when offering money, however. I think that the sections so far have been great because they draw out the pay-off while not being content devoid. It makes it more excited for when the payoff actually hits.

A good game takes time. I like CD Projekt's "When it's done" approach. Does that make me any more impatient? No, not really, but I will like what I eventually receive more. That doesn't mean that I don't want to see it finished, of course, but I also don't want to pay for a rushed product.

Can't rush everything, and you guys wouldn't believe the small shit I get stuck wasting my time on... like which portrait window the main talker is in and flipping it during text to make more sense. Is that a good use of time? No... but sadly, OCD.

I have actually shown a few people the exploding bird and the ethanol scene to great response.
Glad you enjoyed these parts, the ethanol scene was my idea. I hope to revisit stuff and add more humour. The game is going to take a pretty quick turn towards debauchery and laughs starting this release, while trying to maintain the writing qualities other people like.

I must say good joke with the "10k should release content each month", have you seen Summertime Saga?, think they have content each 4 month if you are lucky. And they are way over 10k...
That said no creator did ever release patches each 2-3 weeks as you suggest even if they are up in 10k+
So just because someone else is a scammer, this somehow excuses them?

And getting 10k a month means that some of them should've quit their jobs and started working full time on the game (that's what they promised). Someone working 7-8 hours a day (full time) would finish a considerably big update in less than a month

I was supportive about the project before and I was waiting for 0.5B to try the content out but there's a general rule that more money a project gets, the development becomes gradually slower. That's true for most if not all the projects I've been watching. It's a downside to the donation type of income. Instead of coming up with a good finished project and enjoy its' success after the work is done, developers just start to enjoy that decent level of income and it makes them slower throughout the development process. It's especially obvious for Russian devs. Kinda ironic that the "support" affects development in opposite way than it should.
Because they know they can get away with it. The longer they can stretch the updates, the more money they can keep earning. Examples of this that I've had the (dis)pleasure to encounter: Waifu Academia, Mythic Manor, Harem Hotel, being a DIK, etc

Then you see some japanese devs making eroges and nukiges that manage to finish games 10 times bigger for a fraction of the time a western dev needs, and a fraction of the money some random patreon milker gets a month

Japanese work culture is insane. Comparing studios that pump out content and work in larger teams (we have 2 artists total) isn't fair.

If you want to by cynical, the least you could do it make fair comparisons.

Doing math on how much team members should make is also, your perspective on things.

I'm not saying either is scammers, but 10k per month does not equal content each month, unless the dev. have said that.
And I do agree if they said 10k will result in some of them working on the game nonstop, lets hope they are true to their own word. And lets hope they also are willing to talk about who will work on it as a day job, to let everyone know what is going on.
We will have to wait and see I guess.

Joe Banks is a good man, leave him alone.

I also had this retarded mentality of "They are getting so much money! Why aren't they releasing more updates faster?!", but honestly if you aren't paying anything out of your own pocket, then you have the right to shut the fuck up and thank other people for funding these games that you get for free. (if you were a real patron, you would be complaining to them directly on Patreon where you would definitely get a response)

People waste a shitload of money on stuff that you might think aren't worth it all the time.. The only difference between you complaining about people spending real money to buy dresses for their fictional character in an EA game, and you complaining about people supporting an indie porn game developer on a site where their game is being downloaded for free; is that the indie porn game developer will actually give a shit enough to respond to you and offer legitimate excuses for delays to someone pirating their game, while EA won't even give you the courtesy of telling you that they would rather personally shove your worthless opinion up your ass before letting it affect a single cent of their bottom line.

Calling myself out, we did say it.

Funny enough, I originally wanted to do sprints with lanes and 2 week release cycles. No one was on board :D Also, my deadlines plus all the stuff I add mechanic wise are insane.

Lastly, the push was initially on art this last release, we noted it on our map. Then... *I* had a ton of work, and went right into 3 weeks of vacation for the holidays.

So... it was my fault. But hey, I try, and that's all I can do, when we drop the release today, at least I can say it was a 10 day delay from the plans on the map.

Also, everyone has a right to be mad, I am glad you guys like (or hate, I can never tell) the game enough to participate talking about it. Hope you guys had great holidays and enjoyed your family (if you like your family)! With that note, we will be working on 0.5F which is not a content release. It should be a fixing release, although art will be worked on in the background for 0.6A.

Yeah, I've never understood the whole insult the developer thing. What, you think it'll suddenly shame them and make them actually do what you want? You're more likely to get them to do less work out of spite
I don't get paid, no one can force me to do anything. It's this perfect thing where I am accountable to no one.

However, caring about people enjoying the game kinda screws that all up. Lastly, if it got to me, I just would stop visiting the site. I mean it does sometimes, so I take breaks.

I've a question for one of you could answer? On Sep 20, 4f was release to public and we told that follow up would be in a month or so! 5A was release on Nov 13 or 54 days after the 4F. As of the today it has been 55 days since 5A. I understand that the holidays were here and things take precedent, but it does seem that they are taking time. Maybe the dev should plan a better release schedule in the future.

We skipped the month of November on the map, we are 10 days behind the end of December.

All our releases are *supposed* to be end of month.
