I think a lot more of the frustration is the art is so good, you WANT to see the girls get fucked at this level of art. The problem is, a lot of the previous work needs heavy editing (which is happening) and there wasn't a lot of sexual *anything* going on... just a crap ton of tasks with zero reward...
I mean, I do understand the build up aspect, I am not against it. But the sheer amount of text previously written really craps up the game for a new player. Given all that, it's why there's a menu option to skip, but we should probably warn new players where the content is upon load. Maybe that would help.
You really are in a terrible position in many ways. You interact with people here, you manage a ton of other stuff, write content etc..
YOU don't get paid, so to say that you are scamming people is definitely wrong (going from the assumption here that this is true, because no one would say you shouldn't get a share of TeamSadcrab, as apart from the artist and the coder, you seem to be the only one actually working), BUT the development history of this game (before you came on board) practically screams milking.
I'm not one to cry for actual sex in the game now, it took a long while to actually fuck Hermione in Witch Trainer and slowly eroding her morals was a lot of fun and that is what I always wanted for this game as well, just not with only one girl, but with all four and hopefully also with some hot teachers (or even Ghosts).
But I do understand that some think they've waited enough. Given the complete development time, this game should actually be finished.
I honestly can't think of any other explanation for what happened before you took over, apart from milking, it was just so ridiculously going back and forth at the exact same point, without going anywhere for month after month.
It's either that or complete and utter incompetence on the dev side.
I do have a few thoughts, to make reception of new versions here better, some have already been mentioned by others, some are supposedly already being worked on.
Being able to skip the introductory chapters is a great decision, but it needs to be without punishment for the player.
Anybody coming to this game as a new player (who has an ounce of taste) will be bored to death by the endless drivel in the first chapters.
If and when you manage to cut down the text significantly (and hopefully rewrite it, so that you don't want to constantly bang your head against a table reading it), it might actually be a worthy part of the game, but as it is, it hurts your reputation with probably nine out of ten new players.
So, like someone else mentioned it, when you skip to the actual corruption, it should be treated as if you did everything and unlocked everything before (gallery and if necessary gameplay as well).
As for the things that can only happen on weekends, once your game is filled with enough content during the week, this isn't really a problem, but for now you should seriously consider including a "skip to the weekend" button, so that people don't need to waste time replaying boring weeks again and again.
Which brings me to my last point, I was shocked to hear that the game felt grindy to many players.
Think about where this game came from and you will probably understand why I implore you to include a cheat menu, so that you can skip the grind, maybe not completely, but cut down on it.
A game that started from a mod that was supposed to take the frustration generated by grind away, should definitely not feel grindy to play. (again, this could be removed in later releases, where gameplay isn't boring).
I haven't played the last updates, so I haven't experienced grind personally, I'm just going from what I've read posted by people playing it, so if it isn't accurate I apologize for that.
You (personally) obviously work hard and you are very involved in this on all levels, that's why you can't help take criticism personally at times, even when it is about stuff you really never had a hand in. Your artist is fantastic and despite the endless tuning the game used to have, the coder is probably good as well, which means this could still be the game we all hoped it would be.
