Maybe I'm an asshole but I don't believe people should be allowed to take several months of a break of working on a product they are being paid to develop just because there is no stated deadline. If you did that in an actual job, you would get told my managment to take a small bit of time to get your shit together and come back asap.

It all boils down to different people have different views of work ethic I guess. I have never let any personal issues affect me when it comes to my work because I keep my work and my passion projects separate personal garbage.

They're not being paid to work on anything. These games and their development are simply cases of someone creating a product, and people willing to chip in to help make it happen. The situation you described is when an employee hires you because you need money and they need your labor leading to a mutual exchange of goods and services. If either one fails to uphold the previously agreed upon arrangement, then the partnership ends.

That's simply not the case with adult games and the patreon model. Backer-funded Kickstarters are closer, but that's still a situation that's similar: The creator of the product is still under no obligation to actually create the product with the money that was given to them.

You're not an asshole, you're just not very bright.

You're fundamentally misunderstanding the relationship at play here. It's not employment, but patronage. That's where the name "Patreon" comes from. Patronage is when someone likes an artist's work, so they give them money (or other resources; back in the day nobles would give the artists they patronized living/working space on their estates and the like) to facilitate their making more of it. When they feel like they aren't getting their money's worth they stop, whether that's because the output has slowed down or the direction of the work has shifted in a way they no longer like. If they DO feel like they're still getting their money's worth, who is... whatever authority you're proposing should step in when you say "I don't believe people should be allowed" ...to tell them they're wrong?

Probably, but I guess that's why I've always preferred games from a team released complete than games that rely on crowdfunding and good faith like these do. I've hated early access and the crowd funded beta build release model ever since the 2010s. Most indie game devs for porn games' work ethic to me is nothing but a disappointment.

EXCEPT TwistedScarlett. That man is a fucking development monster. How he manages to work so hard and make so much dialogue and art in such a short amount of time and still make such good games, I think other devs should aspire to.

There's also the case of actual indie game dev studios doing way more for their consumer and putting that much more love in their passion project even during rough patches. That being said, those games are being sold for an actual monetary value upon release and most games like iNsight have a free public build that costs nothing. But I see no reason why monetization makes you exempt from criticism from the way you work and the product you produce. At most, it should be taken into consideration to the overall quality but not used liked a safety curtain so that all your apologist fans can flame someone who daresay the way you are making your game due to your personal life events is not ideal.

Being free doesn't mean you I can't bitch about something about it, and the "don't like it, don't play it" excuse is fucking stupid because I do support Advent on patreon and I do like the game. In fact I love the game, it's one of the best corruption based games I've played and it'll always have a spot on my drive. But the fact that Advent fucked off without even explaining why other than "personal issues" and it's been close to 4 months now really feels like kind of shitty. I'd understand 1 or even 2 months, but this long without an update? Unless he's dead or homeless, which I would totally understand that being slightly hampering upon getting an update out there to the fans, it's slightly frustrating there's absolutely no word about the continued development of the game.

anyone know how to unlock denial-slut achievement?
You need to max out Gloria's sexual frustration (either by not letting her cum for more than two weeks or maxing out her desire to cum) 5 times. This is achievable probably only in the first stage of the game, as denying her for that long does not break her mind in the early period.

From the top of my head, you need to max Gloria's same sex attraction buff and then talk to Maya while working at NUAMA. Her story also needs to have progressed quite substantially.
