Yeah, I feel like Nyx is writing herself into a corner with some of these characters...

Alexis was supposed to be a one off "Welcome to the mile high club" character but Nyx liked her so incorporated her into the story.
Nikki is still alive instead of dead by car crash because Nyx liked her too.

Makes me wonder if the characters that Nyx doesn't like will suffer terrible fates. Perhaps Rachel will be dead/written out after the crazy shit that happened at Emily's restaurant. I've never played that route so I don't know if the MC ever says anything about Rachel's fate...

I'm not on the Discord (I'm good at burning bridges, lol) so I don't know if Nyx has a list of characters she loves/hates. To get Telenovela bingo I just need either "Character wakes up from a coma" or "long lost evil sibling returns"... Fingers crossed!

Alexis was supposed to just be there for the first episode, a fuck in the airplane bathroom and then gone. Nyx liked her too much and kept her in. Nikki was supposed to die.

yes,you are right about this.
sometimes i think she herself doesn't know which direction she wants to go.

the only solid beginning she had was the story with erynn,but as you say,
because she was so popular in the polls with the fans and with herself,she gave alexis a bigger role in the story.
just the same story with nikki and cara,
normally they would play a supporting role,but changed that too.
and then she places herself in the story(valeria),however beautiful she may look,
you should not expect much from this.

I'm a writer myself ,but if i changed the story every time,it would drive me crazy.

why not?
first make the story long-winded,in which nothing happens at all,
and then she lets val disappear again,
and she can make the story long-winded again.

look at other game developers
as long as the money keeps coming in from the patrons,
they keep milking the story.

(i probably deserve those look's) And he put Alexis in picture cuz you can't just choose Alexis and exclude Erynn. For author it doesent metter that MC can love girl who actualy can acknowledge her part of guilt and mistakes and apologise. I'm talking about 18y.o. Emily, who's smart enough to get preggers in Hschool and with no stable relationship. She also settled for simp, and it's not some secret. Emily had no feelings for Andreas and still has feelings for her baby daddy. If Santi told her to divorce Andre, so that he would pick her up, she would do so and you know it.

There's no agenda here and Emily is not a bad person. She's young, hot and stupid, and has trouble using contraceptives. We are plagued with Emily's in real life and their children pay the price.

Sorry for quoting so late into the thread on this but I played all routes and got the entire story of Andres and Emily.

So, Andres liked another girl and saw Santi kissing her. Then he found out Santi liked Emily and went for her to get back at him. Andres was using Emily from the start to get back at Santi.

Andres was also the one cheating. He cheated on Emily multiple times and he cheated on Hayley.

Andres was a cunt from the start.

He didn't take on being MC's dad to be with Emily, he did it to take them away from Santi. There isn't a good side to him at all.

Ah yes, the scene where both Erynn and Alexis give MC the stink eye, i'm content with my choice, i really don't want to be involved in Erynn's mess.

Yeah, the path progression is very unequal, that isn't an Erynn only problem thought.

Layla is the LI with the most screentime and has the hots for the MC since ep1 and when did they start to make out ep 1-2? Yet her progression is glacial, there isn't even a reason for it, the girl throws herself at the MC at every opportunity, it feels very artificial drawn out imo.

Elena just realised she is into the MC in this ep and only if you are on Layla love path. She's also there since ep1, thought she doesn't get much screentime

On the other hand

Cara/Nikki are basically ready for the happy ever after.
And all that is missing for Alexis are the wedding bells.

Valeria's progression is actually quite nice.
