Progress Update - Gallery - Re-Coding
Back to business.
The gallery is finished and everything seems to work.
I've also finished all of the re-coding, and now I'm testing as many routes as possible.
There's one little oversight I couldn't change solely with coding. I will need to create extra scenes for that, but I'll do that once I do the re-rendering for that particular episode. So for now, it will stay the way it is.
It's when you are on the Alexis path, help Erynn, don't tell Erynn about Alexis and kiss her in her apartment. Then go training with Layla, meaning Erynn and Alexis won't meet the day after. And after training camp, you have the choice to stay with Erynn or go to Alexis, and so on. Meaning, those choices don't have consequences (except heavy point loss for Erynn) for now. They will though in the future, but that's for another time.
The re-rendering of episode 1 and partly episode 2 is almost done. Just a few renders left. But I'm thinking about re-rendering the whole first day as long as I'm testing all those routes. So depending on how long the testing takes, I might be able to finish the whole first day, else I'll keep it where I originally planned.
I'll probably release episode 10.5 at the end of next week, else the week after. After release, I start working on episode 11.
Just a reminder. The story does not continue in 10.5! Your saves won't work!
About something else.
What do you guys think about background/ambient sounds? For example chatter in a bar or in the hallway at school, street noise while walking in the city and so on? Let me know your thoughts about that.

That Erynn-Alexis situation was a criticism of mine, on one episode you don't say anything and kiss Erynn and in the next you tell her that you are dating Alexis(no option to continue lying) and everybody is fine with it, Alexis is fine if you ditch her for the second time straight, Erynn is fine with you messing around with both her and Alexis... curious how it will play out in the future.
As for sounds, moaning sounds should be first priority(yeah i'm a pervert).

There are many reasons I mute all audio. Shit moaning was one of them. Nothing worse than an amazingly hot poa and then it sounds like a moose in heat.
I vote noa on all audio unless it is rigorously tested and respects settings.

I know that I am late to the party but I wholeheartly agree. I'm not usually a sucker for "slow burns" but the nature of MC and Val's relationship has developed in a very good pace. I'm looking forward to seeing more content of her. Personally the best girl in Intertwined for me, right now at least.

I'm not particularly a fan of the canned sex noises in VNs, myself.
Good music selection always makes a big difference in these things. Well placed sound effects and ambient sounds are good too if not too distracting. But sex noises, nope nope nope. When I read, I kind of develop a head canon of what the characters sound like and the sex moans or character vocalizations of any kind fuck that up for me.
Fair enough, but personally i prefer to hear a moan than to read "characters XXX moans", but it's a controversial topic and it can go wrong when it's too "porntastic".

I wouldn't mind some background music in some scenes. But as far as sex sounds go, I would probably be against them. They always sound weird & tacky.
can't recall the name but i played a game where the dev added some female voices to the game which made it a lot more fun imo. not many devs do this though, but i would love to see more of it. esp in games that have no music in it.

You can play now but you'll have to start again in the new release. Playing now would get you a feel for the game though.
Since it's expected in just one week, i'd say wait, this next version is gonna be a "patched/reworked" version but won't move the story forward from the current episode 10.
So you would just be playing mostly the same thing one week apart.

Is there any way things don't end in shit for Andrés? he seemed to be a good father and the whole thing about him being unfaithful and the MC blocking him from his phone and ending their relationship seemed abrupt, silly and just a way for the author to say "Yeah, fuck that asshole."

This is very true, man I'm loving the game, but I just can't with the lazy, sh*tty writing the author did with Andrés. I mean, at first he seems like a nice guy who was a good father (Emily mentions it a lot, like he cried when the mc called him Dad) but then it seems like the author had a stroke and decided to make him an absolute asshole. It seems like he just did it for the haha or because he wants to portray Santiago as a good guy, fuck, many times I've heard "The One Who Who Raises A Child Is Called A Father. Not The One Who Helped Make It".

Apparently not, in the previous pages someone commented that anyway Andrés is cheating and ends his relation with MC.
yeah i kinda felt bad for Andres too when they suddenly revealed him to be cheating on his fiance after raising the mc by himself after his mom sent him there. but after Andres punches him, i had no problem with mc cutting him out of his life.
