I feel the same about the game and AVN's in general. I've played all the top rated ones and some others further down the list (such as this) but only about 3-4 games make me feel what this game can. Layla+Lexi path is heartbreaking, same with Nikki tbh if you split. It's that character/behavior/dialogue you are talking about, its so good.

I agree.

Good points that not all single mothers/single fathers/single parents are alike. Each one has their own specific histories, experiences and flaws like you shared with the three characters mentioned. I actually didn't realize those dynamics with Melissa, Emily and Adriana. Thank you for pointing them out.

The Layla-Lexi confrontation scene shocked me. I was like "Whoa! An AVN with consequences (to the extent you can have them in games like this.) If I screw around, I can hurt characters and they will cut me out of their lives. It's so awkward when the Monroes go to your mom's restaurant while they both hate you.

(I've played two harem games and while they have their obvious appeal that I like, I am very happy Intertwined isn't a harem game.)

I was also shocked and impressed by the feelings from the Erynn-Lexi confrontation and friendship break-up. But I was also disappointed at how their friendship repair was handled by the developer (only available if you're on the Lexi path, if not, a make-up scene that's off screen. Both choices for me seem too easy for the amount of drama between the two friends.)

Yes, Nikki split after the cancelled wedding is sad. I haven't tried Nikki breaking up with me after she stays in the MC house.

I am more into movies, but I must say that this game has more emotional impact on me than similar, contemporary films (drama, melodrama, relationships, romantic dramas, romantic-comedies.) I would have to watch films from the 1990s, 1980s and earlier to look for that emotional fix.

On the Lexi, Nikki path with Val: Another forum member observed that if you're on the Layla path, Layla can link you with Val, but she can also block you from Val. Val will openly or in a subtle manner flirt with the MC in front of Layla, and even show facial displeasure at your loveplay with Layla, but there's a line it seems she won't cross because she knows Layla personally and as a teammate. But having no personal relationship with Nikki or Lexi, it seems the MC is fair game for Val.

On Elena: A lot of people are predicting a throuple with Elena-Layla-MC. But just like BADIK Josy-Maya, the developer might create an option where we have to choose between Elena and Layla. I agree that Elena seems to be the least financially well-off of the possible main ladies, and has the most "real" life problems that help endear us to her. The dynamics with Elena and her family creates an added layer not found with the other ladies. The MC always gets "intertwined" in relationship triangles. So far, Layla-Elena is the healthier version of what turned out badly (for a while) with Lexi and Erynn. Elena is trying desperately to be the great friend to Layla, but she can't deny her feelings for the MC at some point. (She's starting to slip already with her invitation to the MC to help her train for the cheerleading competition that Layla only finds out about on their bus trip. Will Elena keep planning these undisclosed "dates" with the MC? Will Layla catch them in a compromising intimate position (which would be a cliche so I hope not, ala BADIK Bella-Jill)? Will the MC confess his feelings for Elena or vice versa, with Elena confessing to Layla? I'm hoping for the throuple just to see what that's like or choosing between the two of them which will be very difficult.

On Iris: Yes I agree. She talks about getting with Erynn, but her silences, looks and half-meant teasing show her feelings still remain for the MC.

And Val's not even fully fleshed out! Phew! Will this go up to fifteen or twenty episodes?

On Cara: I hope she improves her character arc. She's lost a lot of layers since Riverside.

I agree that the throuple has to be suggested by the MC. But since Nyx loves the soap opera drama, I just thought that we'll probably have to choose between the two?. The point-of-no-return could happen between the MC and Elena (a kiss and feelings confessed?) during his Spring Break visit with Elena and her brothers or later on. Then similar but more intense to the Lexi path post Val photobooth kiss scene or I have to tell Layla about Lexi, both MC and Elena have to live awkwardly with the aftermath of their kiss and feelings confessed while interacting around Layla? (That Elena beach scene dialogue is straight out of a 1980s teen romance film (dramatic irony), but Nyx pulled it off well. "I like this guy but he's in a relationship ...")

I know Erynn doesn't get a lot of love on this forum, but I'm glad this latest episode advanced her character and our relationship with her further.

On Val phone call again: Aside from "You cared that much for me to call." There's also "Thanks for calling but aren't you going to say something more? ... look"

On Layla's parents: That's going well with Adriana. Since you love basketball, at least you can talk to Layla's dad about his former pro career. Btw, if you're on the Cara path, she actually has a crush on an ex-basketball player named Zo that might be Layla's and Lexi's dad.
But if you fuck up with Lexi and Layla, will Adriana treat you differently in future scenes?

Checking back in to this game for the first time in 2 years i think. Don't remember it being this good or as well written otherwise I wouldn't have skipped over playing this many updates.

Grade A and standup representation job of a more matured version of the "Americanized Harem Story", and giving us USA'ers the opportunity to push aside the typical sensitive snowflake catered meal stories for a bit in favor of getting to embrace our inner player (with potential consequence that only makes it that much more interesting to see play out while trying to juggle what you can for as long as you can lol. Some of those sweat getting caught moments are great)

Actually yeah, she is.

She was a great latter temptation add to the life-is-complicated mix. Especially for any non-game cheat playthrough given how much the writing makes you end up simultaneously liking and really feeling Layla as a legit girlfriend type.

Like i said, much more mature gaming presentation there imo then your typical 13 year eastern culture kid fantasy stuff. This genre needs more writers capable of this :)

Gabi: I wonder who would rat on the MC and Gabi's relationship? Zach (out of jealousy or stupidity slipping during a conversation)? Tori (out of jealousy)? Darryl? Layla out of propriety? Or the MC/Gabi freaking out when either one of them realizes that her husband is MC's father? Or no one finds out but one of them develops feelings of love that ends the affair? If it becomes public, for once the shit storm will be on the MC and not because he's involved in somebody else's problems (Erynn). How is Val related to Gabi? Is she her niece or the daughter of Gabi's bff? How will that play out if you're on the Gabi-Val path?

The Monroes: Yes. Some good relationship building scenes with the entire family would be good. To complicate things, Layla or Lexi still has feelings for the MC? If you fucked up with the sisters, will Layla, Lexi and Elena ever forgive you or are those paths permanently closed? (Nikki-Cara Morgan are the healthier relationship triangle compared to the Monroe sisters.)

The Ortizes: More quality time with Elena, her brothers and her mother. Maybe, for once, a parent doesn't approve of the MC being in a relationship with her child? Or the story's mirror relationship to Val and her mom, Elena's mom notices her feelings for the MC and points them out to Elena. She also talks to Elena about Layla if you're involved with Layla.

Layla's hoodie: Did Lucas or another pervert steal it? What the hell happened to Lucas? At least we know Emmanuel and his pals got payback from MC and Nathan, and Ethan got his partial receipt from you and Val/John.

Talk about plot devices: Nyx loves using things like photographs-videos, articles of clothing/nudity for conflict, plot devices, relationship development, creating relationship and sexual tension: Iris topless in Alvarado and Madison Springs parks to Layla flashing you at the beach changing room to putting suntan lotion on Nikki's boobs, Layla's hoodie, MC hoodie gift from Emily/Nikki, MC misplaced swim trunks naked in the jacuzzi with Adriana/Erynn-Lexi, Layla-Val underwear truth or dare, MC workout shirt that Nikki claims as her own, MC wearing John's old motorcycle jacket, Erryn's shirt gift that Nikki destroys because it's like her ex's, Val's orange cap, Val's ass in running pants, Emily, Elena and Layla's nipple/s poking out of their bikini tops, Erryn's ripped stockings and private lingerie fashion show for the MC, Elena and Nikki wearing similar white bikinis, MC and Val picking the same running shoes, Elena giving you a cheerleading shirt, Brooke changing in front of you, Gabi-Sha'Carri's track team uniforms revealing that they both went to Palm Springs and both were scouted by Navarro, shopping and dressing room shenanigans with Nikki/Cara, Layla, Lexi, Erynn; Erynn lingerie, Nikki-Cara bikini show for MC; Iris topless photo Intertwined similar patterns of behavior to Layla-Elena secret beach video of MC, and to Zach having you take a Gabi by the pool photo, Iris thirst trap photos, Lexi midnight photos-video, Layla tease photos, Val flirt and photobomb/prank photos, Erynn prank photos, Ethan blackmail video, Gabi photo that reveals she was at the same seaside place that Emily was at with Santiago, Melissa-Emily photos, Andres cheating photo, the Erynn-Lexi childhood photos and Erynn discovering Lexi photos on your phone that throws firebombs on your love triangle and their friendship

Val: We really need a scene where the MC returns Val's underwear. Perhaps during the first time they have sex?

The body in the alley: Is it Rachel? Is it a serial killer or the darker side of Ethan's illegal business?

Zach: Will the MC beat up Zach or just ignore him when they see each other after spring break? Is Zach redeemable? Most people here hate Zach with a passion. I just enjoy killing him and Ethan in movie parodies.

Nathan: Will Nathan ever visit?

Nikki/Cara: If either one you're involved with decides to move to Madison Springs to live with their dad, Coach Mike, for college, hoo boy ...

Iris: What happens when she realizes Erryn is her half-sister? Will both of them compete for the MC?

Sha'Carri: "..." or "Everything comes to he/she who waits."

Brooke: A minor character but there's nothing minor about her body.

Apart from the Monroe sisters confronting him or Nikki/Cara finding out if you fucked around with Julia (did I miss some others?), Nyx has allowed the MC to dodge a lot of consequences bullets (Erynn-Lexi walking past your Nikki Italian restaurant date), but I hope she'll really put us in the middle of an all-out drama or war when the ladies and others find out.
