Holy shit just looked at his patreon and he's only making around $270 a month.

Yeah, I went up to $10/month after I made that post (there's 3 of us now) because I was only giving $1 for the last 6 months and felt kind'a shitty about it when he's barely making anything. He only charged $1 for I Love Daddy. And, when he raised it to $2 for NWOT, he grandfathered in all those people only paying $1 and didn't raise their rate. So they're paying $1 for $2 content. Not to mention he's just a great dev - Always on time, 'Preview Tuesday', big updates, etc. In a perfect world, his generosity would encourage more people to pledge since he's asking less and everything would balance out. I guess it doesn't work like that.

I realize I sound like a complete shill. I'm totally aware of that. I try not to pass up the chance to mention becoming a patron of his when I post in his game threads. Most of that is guilt for posting his pay-walled content here when he barely makes anything. I'm torn between my loyalties to Flamecito and the F95 community. Encouraging people to pledge makes me feel a little less like a conniving asshole. I try to keep it subtle at least, and not nagging.

Guy made I love Daddy which is probably the longest renpy game out there that isn't made by some established Japanese publishing house.

So yeah I have no doubt he'll make this one huge as well, like I said I was just shocked when I finally looked at his patreon yesterday at how little money he's getting, so yeah I immediately donated too.

It is a damn travesty he's only getting a couple hundred dollars a month when scam artists doing the absolutely bare minimum like Dual Family are making 5k or more a month, when he's actually already proven he can deliver better stuff than 95% of these independent adult game devs out here.

I'm not trying to tell people that they should give him all da moniez but yeah, if you actually were the type to be willing to donate to a patreon this is the guy you should give it to.

You can go ahead and play this. I am the same way, and generally wait 3-4 months for updates to pile up before play/re-playing a game. But there's about 90 minutes of content already, a little more or less depending on how fast you read.

I have a feeling Flamecito knew exactly what he was doing by making a huge first release. That was very clever on his part.

I give props to this guy whenever I can.

The writing he did in I Love Daddy was fantastic. I see a lot of attempts at humour, and I know we all have a different idea on what is funny, but he hit it for me.

I love dry wit and sarcasm with a side helping of banter. The mother in I Love Daddy is arguably one of the most amusing characters i've seen ... apart from when the bitch stole my girlfriend.

the game dev did already complete a game with a good story but he/she still have the same problem and thats exposure... i don't think many people know of this game dev... if more people knew they would give more money, i can't fault the game dev either (already have a game thats available and this demo is already public)... the F95 community should push this game to people that want to try something new or to other F95 users and other people that're into porn games...

when i see one person who is passionate (i think) by what he do, for no money , sometime i ask myself how some games have a 4 or 5 ppl team or even more and give 1 month update with less quality and/or less content. Flamecito youre not enough known !

Somewhere in the area of the Dominican Republic/Virgin isles/Cuba. He got hit by Hurricane Irma like 10 days ago, too (if you look at the Preview Tuesday for around that time in this thread, he mentions it). That's 2 hurricanes in 1 development cycle. It's just been a real shitty month for him. At any rate, his excuse is pretty legit. And he has a very long, reliable track record with the I Love Daddy development run, so I'm sure he's being honest.

That's what happens you try to read a comedy like it was a drama. I've seen dozens of posts like this about Flamecito's stuff. About one-in-ten people just can't fathom that it's not a DMD clone and lighten up. If you read this thread, and ILD's, you'll see an enormous amount of high praise for the writing. So, maybe it's just not for you.
