I think this may be one of the reason you don't see much of the pod on the dom route - dev thought ppl not playing the sub route might not enjoy men being dominated. Even had a dev note about 'even in dom path the world around was still femdom'
Pity for me, would've like to see more scenes, since as long as the MC is dom & not dommed himself, I dont mind maledom femdom whatever.
MCdom would be my preferred genre lol. (No female MC tho, can't get immersive in that setting)
Like I enjoyed the branding scene a lot, how others were marked but MC was not. Would've ve loved a similar scene for chastity cage fitting, etc.
In my opinion, the developer has adequately assessed the ratio of players who like to play the Dom route while maintaining the traditional heterosexual nuances in dominance. Therefore the MC Dom playing the GoodDom/EvilDom routes is only personally involved in domination over the opposite sex. I guess it is all based on the same world-wide % ratio of people who consider themselves heterosexual to people with bisexual orientation. And there are many times more of the former, such is life.
For the same reason, traditional heterosexual audiences who want to push the boundaries of their perception of the "forbidden" and watch porn with trans people usually prefer feminine looking TS models to those who have rough male facial features and a man-like body. The loyalty of many players who hate NTR in porn games to the so-called lesbian NTR, which in their minds is not considered as such, can also be included in the same vein. Lesbian domination can also be added to this "piggy bank". Audiences are loyal to lesbian porn, and to beautiful women in particular.
I'm not a psychologist or medic with a degree, but personally I'd attribute such a thing to a willingness to accept new fetishes without the player/viewer feeling inner discomfort. I'll be honest, the dominance of male MC over other males will cause such mental discomfort to a large number of heterosexual players.
And if we talk about femdom in relation to men, the same pattern can be seen. Those heterosexual men who like this fetish (I don't like femdom) also prefer to see a woman (the opposite sex) as the top rather than a man. This is as true for porn games as it is for regular movie porn. So, in my opinion, it makes no sense to go against one's nature and there are boundaries that people are not willing to cross unless they have a predisposition to do so.
