There's a lot good to be said about this game. After playing 0.5b I felt like there was a gaping hole that was torn in my chest after seeing the events unfold in such a way. Absolutely marvelous and it's not a very common feat at all.

Having said that there are some criticisms that I have. Please try to get rid off getting hard locked via stats. I really didn't expect that having sanity be too low can cause the player to be locked from advancing in the game. I was under the impression that the stats would probably just affect how some scenes go.

That is just about my only criticism of it. Other than that this is a really interesting and very, very dark story(which was honestly rather unexpected).

For your critisism: The sequel will solve that. There will only be 1 stat that triggers choices and all endings will be behind said choices. Other than that you can gain relationship points with 4 characters none of them triggers an ending. I noticed myself that the stat stuff isn't that good but it's done and I'll keep it up for the rest of this game.

That is perfectly reasonable, I didn't know you're about to start working on a sequel but best of luck with that. What you propose there seems like a better solution. I'm just hoping that I won't have to re-play the whole game just to see bo able to carry on playing it without gettin stuck on a bad ending somewhere.

Jokes aside, I feel kinda bad reading this but on the other hand it's exactly what I was going for. I know most porn games don't go that far so I wanted to make one that makes people think about it even long after they're done playing it.

As for the main menu picture (and the boot up picture): it changes in every update, showcasing event's/characters of the current update. There is a way to make it change according to how far you are in the game but that's how I started this game with so I'll keep it like that. (and me and translaters probably have to change older code to make this work.)

Anyway I hope you're not too much down from that because there really is more dark stuff to come in the last/next couple updates. Have fun~

Don't worry about it. I just tend to get more emotional about certain things.
I didn't mean what I said in a bad way in this case, rather I meant it as a praise.

With that aside, I'm now up to date with v0.6a (as in general story, I haven't gone through all the bad endings, at least not yet).
And I can now answer your poll question: I think more renders would be nice, at least when they're needed for the narrative. Currently there are multiple points where what's being described doesn't match what we see, or we see just a black screen.

But other than the included options, I believe it would be nice to have some BGM, even if it's royalty free music.
Personally I believe that having a fitting BGM can help enhance the tone of a scene, and make a Visual Novel more memorable. You can even reminiscence about the game while listening to the soundtrack, it helps people cope a bit after finishing it.

Don't feel bad about reading stuff like this. My feelings upon playing through that part of the game were very similar and that's a good thing and a compliment. Art is supposed to make people feel things and to be frank it's been a long time since something moved me this much. I'm genuinely impressed that the game had such a strong effect with its story. I'd love to play more games like this. Keep up the good work, your writing and storytelling is great.

Android version has a problem: there is no Continue or Resume button to proceed with the game if you go to Options or Save/Load menu. Theres an obvious workaround to save and immediately load the save but its still annoying.

Simply because the android version is well... for android. You don't need joiplay anymore to run it on android.
