Not sure if the route I took is responsible for it but I do wish the MC wouldn't get a free pass for everything and his interactions have more dire consequences in the future. Being denied once or twice gives his sexual adventures more meaning, I think. He just came onto food like it was nothing. I find that a bit absurd even with the words free use attached to it.
This scene was fun to do, and hopefully the set-up worked as you expected the MC to be hunting for someone else. It's also the first scene that actually involves the true definition of free use, in my understanding of it.
In other scenes, they've strayed away from the intent of free use, either by discussing the act itself or blurring the lines of it being a release for one, while blithely using another.
Think girl playing games while her free-use partner mounts her as she's engrossed in a boss kill.
It's also there to announce the resumption of the agreement between Sam and the MC, and this is important. We shouldn't forget that, as far as Sam is concerned, she cannot refuse. Unless it's weird. Which she has done, depending on your path.
With Megan, again the path may show that the MC doesn't always get what he wants.
