Okay, ...
What I think it is is maybe the face angle? I do feel now that maybe I did Neves eyes too big so I am going to go back and tweak that, so do tell me if you have other specific things that you dislike and think would need changing?
For the Sabia x soldier I am not sure, it is indeed the same angle, so maybe I just need to practice it more, I was actually happy with this one, but maybe I made it too extreme and her face looks a bit more spherical and it should be elongated?

So yea for the two CGs if you have a more specific feedback as to what you think needs to be redrawn, do tell and I will do my best to tweak them. And thanks for the feedback.
First, thank you for taking the time to discuss with us, it's always interesting and cool to interact directly with a creator of content. Like someone else wrote before me, you are very good with thighs and booties, the new maid/tavern scene is really amazing, her underwear are top notch.

Yes I think the eyes of Neve are too big and yes I think Sabia's face is too spherical. Maybe... (again, I'm no pro, I just try to help) the breasts of Neve are too big too.

Keep up the good work Nomo. I hope you won't drown in your multi choices. (is this even proper english ?) I mean that offering multi choices to us is certainly amazing but it can become a burden or takes too much energy/time to properly create content in the end.

What I came here for is the art feedback, and mainly the negative one. I really want to improve and that only happens once people point at the bad parts of it.
I have no problems with the sex scenes or the girls models so far, I only want some variety and in that regard the catgirl is a good addition, not everyone has to be a tit monster or a 90-60-90 figure.

First, I appreciate the response (and even more that anyone is even listening).

Okay, a lot of things going on in this thread. While I do not dismiss all and we should have been faster, I feel sad that people only measure work by sex scenes and from what I have seen if it also doesnt meet their fetish expectations, they generally are more critical.
I mean, its a lewd video game, so to some extent this has to be expected. Look at SWTOR - they put a fuckton of money into voice acting for everything, and by and large it was wasted money because most people who choose to play an MMO are not looking for voiced questgivers, they're looking for good MMO gameplay.

This is also, I think, partially a result of the switch to Ren'Py. As others have noted, in NN players had to actually do shit that took nontrivial effort to progress in the storyline. I'm not sure how much people complained about it, or if you decided to switch to Ren'Py for different reasons, but regardless the VN setup gives players no real incentive to read all the "random" dialogue (which probably takes a huge amount of work), or what I would call flavor text on things. In NN, RPGMaker forced slower text boxes even if you were hammering the next button, and you had to actually do things to advance. This forced players to acquire at least a vague idea of what was happening, and they had to encounter non-porn assets you'd worked on.

The not meeting fetish expectations point is probably accurate, but I don't have any idea of how to mitigate it.

I am not sure how we can communicate better all the other work we do in assets, planning and multiple choices paths, since it seems here people dont see that or appreciate it.
Part of this is, I think, the result of what I've said above about Ren'Py. Part of it is a result of the game not being complete - the effect of choosing to ally with one captain versus another is, so far, limited to a couple scenes + variants and an activity (one which so far doesn't seem to lead anywhere). As such, at the moment a lot of the places where players are faced with a choice dont appear to do anything other than require an additional player input (or at least, not anything significant)

I would make two suggestions for alleviating what I see as the fundamental problem (namely: Ren'Py lets players skip through things incredibly fast if they feel like it):

1) Introduce nontrivial minigames in appropriate places. The combat minigame is (sort of) one such thing, but you don't really need to do much of it currently and as a result it doesn't slow people down enough. I'm also pretty sure half of the reason for switching to Ren'Py was to get away from the "forced grind" involved in making the game in RPGMaker, so this may not be something you or Sierra even want to consider. Affection grinds (as in, say, Big Brother) are another alternative (as a side note, these would be potentially another place you could employ progressive scenes like the Bar scene from this update).

2) Put in a questlog of some kind, and find some way of rewarding people for actually knowing what's going on rather than trying everything and reversing until they find the option that had the effect they wanted. The only real way to make people read/look at everything in Ren'Py is to make it impossible to progress if they don't figure something out based on what they've read/looked at, but at the same time it is incredibly tedious as a player when you have to read every single textbox and important information only shows up in one out of every 20 boxes. Quest logs that update with hints and/or just save the important info you've seen so you can go and look at it again later allow people to skip through filler text if they want to without forcing you to let people skip through everything costlessly.

[edit] 3rd idea that just occurred to me:

Add a lewd option for dealing with certain combat encounters. The in-camp sparring probably doesn't work for this, and the catgirl fight doesn't really either, but you'd really only need progressively less-dressed assets for Sabia to implement this. Recall the random town blowjobs in NN - the assets were just reused, and even the text was reused, but they nonetheless added to the game (not as much as new art assets or new text would have, of course, but I think the game would be worse if those activities were not present). For me, at least, simply reusing art assets with different text is like 60% as good as completely new art with new text.

Oh my god! Nomo's here!
How's my hair?! How's my breath?! Do I look okay?! Oh jeez, oh man, oh boy!
Hi!

as I wrote above, I thing you improved alot from NN, maybe you have more time now but in NN there are 2 Blowjob scenes with Riven, one is with the blacksmith, the other is with the townspeople and with the multiple variants (maid, bunny, normal). While I loved the way you drawed Riven with the blacksmith, the other where slightly dissapointing because the face was someway off.

For KoD I can only say I like everything so far, the colour choice is great and while I don't like every fetish (catgirls, tattoo on Sabia) one can clearly tell that you put alot of work in there. Especially the new bar scene with the ass and tits in the maid outfit are top noch, I hope we will see more of that outfit in the future :)
Yes NN was my first gaming project and I started to draw fairly recently before beginning it with Sierra, so looking back I can see a lot of things that I could improve on now. But it was a good learning experience and I was able to improve my drawing by the end of us finishing it.
And thanks for the KoD comments, I understand we cant hit all fetishes, especially after being bombarded for years now with what people want or expect, and the spectrum is just too large. But I like to believe that once we are finished, everyone would be able to pick a path or a way to guide Sabia as best fits their needs, or ignore what doesnt.

Yes, the bar scene was phenomenal. You're a master of thighs and booty Nomo. While the faces in the scenes didn't bother me as I was playing through them, looking back at them now, they are different from the faces in other scenes. I also think the catgirls scene is well done; you've become very good at the ahegao faces.

I do wish the scenes with orcs would have their faces though. I can understand sex with random orc is more about Sabia and dicks, but Lutvrog is a named character and someone who will (probably) have some relevance to the plot, so it's kinda weird to see his face cut out, even though I understand (and am thankful for ;) ) the focus on Sabia's body.
Thanks! And seems like not many people had a problem with the faces, considering no one mentioned it in patreon, this is why I came here and I think some of the criticism is valid so I will see what I can do and keep it in mind for the future.
For orc/male faces, I kinda feel weird drawing male orgasms and showing their sexual pleasure, but I have been trying to find ways to do it without messing it up as seen in the soldier scene and his face being present. And seems like no one complained about that one, so I will try to expand on it in the future.

Is it possible for anyone to upload an android tablet compatible version of the new update? I can't wrap my head around Ren'py at all.
We need to port the game for android, currently it is not. And since we will be releasing updates, it wont happen until we are done, most likely.

Thanks for the feedback, for Neve boobs, they are actually the size I want them to be, she is one of the more gifted females in KoD, so thats not a mistake. As for faces, yea you dont need to be pro to see something might be wrong, so I will try to work with that and see if I can tweak them.
As for choices, we have already decided on a lot of them that go deep into the game, so we should be fine. Its just hard when people play only one way and consider this the full extend of the update.

Damn our bitching summoned one of the creators of this game. Now I feel even worse. :FeelsBadMan:
But yeah I think it's mainly too spherical face and too big eyes.

We try to read all feedback and reflect, however we get so many messages every day, that its impossible to please all, and few people just hate us no matter what we do, so that can be kind of frustrating to deal with.
And while we can just limit ourselves to patreon posts since people there are overwhelmingly supportive and positive, I think looking for the negatives can help me improve.

I have no problems with the sex scenes or the girls models so far, I only want some variety and in that regard the catgirl is a good addition, not everyone has to be a tit monster or a 90-60-90 figure.
Well that has been something I want to improve on, so there will be more flat females present, Lynn and Maply are the first.

First, I appreciate the response (and even more that anyone is even listening).

Yes we do not like to add grind, we can easily make players do the same actions over and over and lock them out of content by inflating the game time like this, but that strikes me as poor way to manage/create things. It actually surprised me at multiple messages we got from people that said we should higher the money/training grind. Of course a lot other said they prefer the more easy to progress system we have now, and we think for the long haul it would feel a lot better.

We do plan to add systems that players can play with and improve on, one should make a debut next update, so we hope that goes well.
For the text comment, I really dont want to think how to deal with people that skip text, if the text we have is problem then the game would not be for them. And I dont see myself a reason to play a game if you dislike world building and context and are just in for the CGs. I am pretty sure a simple doujinshi is more suitable.

I don't see the point in skipping text in VNs, just extract the CGs if you're looking for that or go to Rule34.
I don't like grinding either but the game has combat already, Why don't use it? I was expecting more battles in the catgirls' quest honestly, a bit of combat in a rpg like game can't be considered grinding.

I was expecting some new armor for Savia, so far we only have the rags (leather armor) and the slave armor if you side with Tekrok. Slave armor looks pretty cool, but I don't like that path, so having some good looking armor in other path is a must for me.

Please. If the only difference between playing a good VN and extracting the CGs was "reading the text", this might be a valid rejoinder. But if that's the only difference between playing the VN and extracting the CGs, the VN isn't good, and VN was the wrong vehicle for content delivery in the first place. Would KoD be as good as it is now if there was only a single choice, right at the start, that set you down a fixed path and then the VN was completely linear? After all, there would be exactly as much reading to do.

The whole point of VNs is that they're not just a different way of showing text and pictures to a reader. The player is supposed to be an active participant - and like other games where the player is an active participant, they're supposed to learn about the world by doing things, not by just reading stuff.

Insisting that if you don't read everything carefully you can't enjoy the game is ridiculous, particularly since I still have no idea what the fuck is going on in Fairy Tale and enjoy that game significantly more than I would if I just extracted the CGs.

And I dont see myself a reason to play a game if you dislike world building and context and are just in for the CGs.
I wrote out a bunch of stuff to explain why it's shortsighted and wrong to suggest that not wanting to read some things is the same as disliking world building and context, but there's a simpler way.

Do you think I'd have enjoyed NN as much as I did if I was just in it for the CGs? The answer is no. If I actually only enjoyed the CGs from lewd games, why would I even be here - I can find more, and better, CGs that hit my fetishes much more closely if I don't limit myself to CGs from actual games.

There are good and bad ways of exposing players to world building. Dumping everything on the player immediately is not a good way of doing it. Subtly guiding the player towards the information they need to understand what's going on right now, and gradually building their understanding of the world and the context they act in, is a good way of doing it. In my opinion, KoD currently is closer to the first than the second option.

[edit] The only way I know how to explain this clearly is by analogy with fiction. Most books, when the author sends them to the editor, are much longer than they are when they're released - because the editor cuts out huge parts of them. A good story is not only one with good world building - it's one that doesn't waste the reader's time.

My point is that If you have to skip the text, then it's not a good VN or simply not your thing, so play other things instead of wasting your time searching for the sex scenes.

Does anyone know the console command for HP?
I managed to get stamina and cash, but nothing I've tried works for HP.
Tried; HP, hp, hitpoints, health, life, energy, healthpoints.

Probably something obvious that I just can't think of.

My point is that If you have to skip the text, then it's not a good VN or simply not your thing, so play other things instead of wasting your time searching the sex scenes.
I'd love to. Unfortunately, there are not nearly enough options for me to play only the ones that I think are close to perfect.
