here is a save with the game beat..... so many FUCKING crashes...... mainly with cutscenes after boss fights meaning fighing the boss again....cheat engine helped extract and drop in folder
Who are you and how do you have access to my computer's directory structure?3) Make sure your folder/file names aren't too long. If the game tries to pull a file from location c:/happyfun/mkosdnf0490n0sdnf0n0sn0i340tnes0ns0dnfd0gnng0ns0dn0sndf0fnf0in0i4n0ns0dndf0nsfdns0dfnds0s0dnf0sn0sn/mkosdnf0490n0sdnf0n0sn0i340tnes0ns0dnfd0gnng0ns0dn0sndf0fnf0in0i4n0ns0dndf0nsfdns0dfnds0s0dnf0sn0sn/hotpic69.jpg, you are going to have problems.
wow it worksSo for everyone having crashing problems I think it might be an easy fix. (mute the sound in the windows volume mixer)
I've ran through the intro a bunch of times and got CTD about half the time. I looked at the script running and it's basically nothing; Just some text a window size formatting, and some screen pans and character movements.
I did notice that when the crashes happened it was after a character moved, but more importantly after a sound effect was played for them moving.
I've played through the intro with cheat engine running at 2-5x speed about 10 times a now and haven't had a single crash... after I muted the sound.
I've also done 5 runs without CE running, and no crashes once I muted the game.
Can some of you test it out with the sound muted at the system level? Then if anyone is feeling like testing try it out with the in game sound settings?
I think this might be the solution to the no error CTD.
The crashes people are showing with the error logs are likely just some broken scripts that need some love, maybe.
Changing Winrar's name encoding to japanese and extracting worked for me.tried bandizip changed language to Japanese and it still gives the same error...... originally I used 7 zip in japanese with a japanese emulator, still fails with same error everyone else is getting.
Any chance someone could download it and re-zip it with correctly named files?
I played a few hours later and the game hasn't crashed once. Did not use app locale, just extract with jap encoding. Worked for me that way.Haven't played this, but based on previous experience try this:
1) Extract as japanese, see other comments in thread.
2) Use japanese locale, from locale emulator (or just set in your system options)
3) Make sure your folder/file names aren't too long. If the game tries to pull a file from location c:/happyfun/mkosdnf0490n0sdnf0n0sn0i340tnes0ns0dnfd0gnng0ns0dn0sndf0fnf0in0i4n0ns0dndf0nsfdns0dfnds0s0dnf0sn0sn/mkosdnf0490n0sdnf0n0sn0i340tnes0ns0dnfd0gnng0ns0dn0sndf0fnf0in0i4n0ns0dndf0nsfdns0dfnds0s0dnf0sn0sn/hotpic69.jpg, you are going to have problems.
If you did all of the above, and you STILL get errors, then most likely the translator did a big no no and translated scripts or variable references, which unless they were careful would result in errors. This isn't that uncommon when a translating tool is used, since its automated and not that smart at picking out those kinds of things.
They STILL haven't translated Dungeon Town ffsKagura always does this to disencourage anyone thinking about translatin a game.
I would have no problem with it, but they announce a translation and then sit on it for almost a year.
