Those are screenshots *of* LR1 as a visual reference to his words 'last game'.
The mechanics of the visuals are entirely different. In LR1 there were just the normal kind of renders (done fast and cheap on Honey Select). In LR2 the models (rendered in DAZ) are versatile, coming in assorted shapes and sizes, and act as 'paperdolls' for you to choose clothing, make-up, and hairstyles for. That means that every single item has to be rendered for every possible pose, shape, etc. You won't have seen many other games do this at all, and none do it with DAZ and RenPy (a game like LifePlay allows different bodies, hair, clothing, etc because it renders them in real time using a different game engine).
Corporate laws are to Lab Rats 2 what the laws of physics are to the Just Cause series. Cool idea, but gets in the way of fun, so let's pretend it's not there.
Does anyone know if the modding team will keep adding stuff? I'm really gonna miss this game, the true sandbox element of it, the fact you could just get random girls and explore and stuff like that...

Sad to see this abandoned. I played it a lot and in fact it (and it's pre-decessor Lab Rats) was one of the few lewd games I acutally played multiple times. I made my own private mod earlier. The last version I played was 0.44, probably I give the actual version a try. Maybe even see if I can release anything.

More accurately, the mod has rebranded itself as Lab Rats 2 Reformulated. We don't know what happened to the creator, Vren, but knowing his work ethic we can only assume the worst happened because that's the only thing that could stop him
