Or author had only a few scenes in mind since start and don't want to put a lot of efforts into making long story with multiply interlinked characters (it's actually quite hard work).
Blaming supporters, huh... Then it's again mostly author fail - he don't stated clearly enough what kind of content will be in his game.
C'mon guys and gals. No need to invent false excuses for dev if he decided to do a rushed end his story. It's his work (in case of Patreon and so on) and his decision to take it easy.
P.S. Isn't it obvious that game was planned as Chloe love-story and then was simply bloated by side-characters and junk single-scene girls?
The cult arc has been added since 1.1 , and ever more details have been revealed thru each release. Obviously the developer had a already a thought track in mind.
Any1 who played the game rather than just skipping the text to see sex scenes or just loading save games from others would know that a lot of info have been added to the cult arc. The one that pique me most the gals went missing even though Jason stand guard outside the room for the whole night. And the last scene with the unnamed gal is a test from the cult. Even to the rushed ending , he didn't forget about the cult.
In fact i think many ppl don't even know or don't care Eve was part of the cult , and just another side character they can have sex with. The fact remains he obviously have well thought track on the cult.
A lot of us , u see so many posts (including me) who played the game wondered why so much efforts was spent on this arc and suddenly abandoned. The explanation of being lazy and don't want to put in a lot of efforts just don't cut it as he seem obviously well invested in the arc.
We never know for sure , but
@SolarEclipsed's explanation does seem very plausible to this question. This is certainly not the first game nuisance cyber-harassers ruined, and it certainly won't be the last. So I am not surprised if this is the truth.
And if you forced into doing something u don't like , well might as well just end it. I give the developer credit for ending this gracefully instead of abandoning the game totally like some developers had done when the game went out of their vision.
