calm your mamaries. a good story makes you feel something. intense hatred for a character is not a bad sign storywise, just think of joffrey
Indeed....or his northern counter-part(Ramsay did surpass Joffrey in every way conceivable).
I for one am glad he does not pander to his patrons/audience in regard of changing the whole concept of the story, just because someone does not like it.

Lexie seems like the best option in this game, but she seems like a bit desperate for a guy. why did she invite to a guy whom she met in a bar to stay in her mansion with his friends? I am sure a woman like this can find a load of men, so it's a kind of weird. If the MC was given attention because he had done something good to her, then it makes sense, but this story is a kind of weird to me.

Hi everybody.

I hope you enjoyed the update. I know it's a bit hard to please everyone, and some of the elements introduced in this part of the story is deviating from the rest of the initial 'feel' of it. But it had to be said, and now it has been.

Steph will not kill herself if you leave her behind. It was a part of the initial 'force Steph upon you' script, and I thought it was fitting to keep it. That is why I had Cece walk over to her, to make sure. You can see Cece is smiling when she returns, knowing she will not.

As for Kira and her moment with Cece. Kira would probably say herself that she's not good with words, and that's why she felt she would be much better off showing it. For Kira, love doesn't base itself on gender and I'd say she did it on pure instinct, knowing she's grown quite attatched to Cece in the small period of time she's known her, and feeling it was what got her out of her own depression. It was not based on romance.

And to the person that gave me my first 1 star rating based upon that this was a bad porn game. Well, it's not a porn game. :)

I see your foldername is '0.2.2c'. The upgrade patch only works for 0.3.x and upwards, or did you patch it with the last release as well?
only folder name is 0.2.2
I updated 0.3 in 0.2 folder n replaced all files when prompted....
My 0.3 game ended with Steph's letter to MC After replacing all files again in same folder, I got this error only in first scene.
I was getting Lexi's dialogues but errors in every dialogues of the host

that doesn't give you the right to plain insult or make screenshots like that Ramen- on a character that besides you many other people like, not only that, it can even be disrespectful towards the dev that put lots of work in said character.
Is fine if you don't like a character but be more mindful of others that like them.

did you save the game in that scene or in the ending screen that tells you if you missed any content, maybe is the save that is broken

To be honest, I'm really uncertain what could have caused it. Your error mentioned that the character "he" was not defined. I have never had a Character defined as "he", and while searching through the whole script now, I could not find a single instance where it was.

I'll go through the update files a bit later on, just to be 100% sure. But the easiest thing you could do right now to check is try patching it again. Start the game, exit, and start it once again before starting/loading.

If that doesn't work, the full version would probably be the best way to go, unfortunately (you still keep your saves).

I'm also glad he sticks to his original vision as much as possible, can't wait to see where this is all going

Steph was fine before imho. All that Tom Clancy stuff seemed like it belonged in a different game. The game has been relatively grounded so far and all that super spy stuff just seemed like trying too hard to justify something as simple as a young adult making wrong decisions. A perfectly fine netori sub-plot ruined too.

You know i would really like to see your original version when all is said and done, maybe you could post the entire original script once the game is completed.

Pretty sure the issue is due to him having the (old) walkthrough mod installed

I insult fictional characters as much as I want, thank you very much.

Other people not liking something/someone you like takes nothing away from you and I know I wouldn't take unsolicited advice from people on the internet but I'm still gonna say that you are gonna have a much better time in general if you just accept that not everyone thinks like you do

OK, Soooo... I finished this slice of the update and I have to say, I think I shouldn't play this until all paths are finished.

A rundown:
Steph: The explanation was not as eye-rolling as I expected but it was close (there is no way that she could stall a mission for nearly 3 years, especially as a junior agent, without someone coming to check up on her. That's just not how it works). Also WitSec doesn't work that way either.

Cece: She seems to enjoy causing pain (and stealing coffee) which is making her far less attractive to me, each and every update. My attention is actually shifting to Lexi more, but we don't have that option until later.

Linda: A lot of us thought Chris was the friend who was meeting Steph and keeping secrets. Turns out it was the other friend who was betraying James. She is out as a love interest just based on that. Which is sad because I was starting to enjoy the idea of the rekindling of a childhood relationship.

Kira & Robin: Both of them have merits but I don't like the idea of being in a throuple that potentially ends with James having to pick one of them. Doesn't seem like it will end well. If it wasn't a "modern" "sex is a hobby" relationship I would be pursuing Kira. There is a small part of me that is wondering if Kira/Cece/Robin could be finagled into a mini-harem but I don't see Drifty doing that.

Lexi: She's sweet and more innocent than expected but also most likely too busy to be serious with a nobody like James. We shall have to see. I liked the flashback which let us learn more about her. Definitely is climbing the ladder to the top spot though.

Holly: The hot and sane friend who talks some sense into people. I am impressed. Too bad she can't tell Steph to send James a quick text or something to let him know she's alive and still loves him prior to trying to fuck his brains out.

Chris: The dorky but lovable goofball shtick is kind of wearing thin. He needs more depth. And really, he was dating a girl named Christine? Chris and Christine? That's nauseatingly cute. I'd like to see him pursue her, try to get her back.

Melvin: So we are to believe that for 1-2 years Steph spent every waking moment with this man, including multiple times being naked and nothing happened? While undercover they never had to do anything besides kiss? Are we going to meet this guy or is he just going to be a name?

Kevin: Seems like a standup guy, I look forward to more Kevin helping out James in getting Cece's present.

I don't know where this story goes after this. I mean, depending on the player's decisions, James decides on someone to be with this update (though if you aren't into either Cece or Steph you have to wait until later). I am hopeful this doesn't become a "spy" or "crime" story. Just had another game I love suddenly take a left turn into a crime drama and I was disappointed to see that.

Anyway, I think I should wait until the entire update is posted so I can explore all of the options. It seems like Steph was supposed to be the story but too many of us objected to it and now her story feels like it is really important but we can ignore it (though doing so makes me think we will miss out on a lot of content). Just my perceptions.

Don't know how to describe it, I feel disappointed by this update but also satisfied... Worried about what comes next but also wanting to see how the relationships continue to develop.

If seeing fictional characters you like getting insulted gets you upset, then the internet is maybe not for you.
so you guys think this is not disrespectful and is fine to come to the forum and put this?
(this is basically shiting in all the work Driffty put on her, is fine to hate her but is not okay to go around doing this sh** on a character, no matter what)
