Anyone else do a 180 on their opinion of Steph from bad to good?

I thought she was pretty much a piece of shit up until her backstory, which while implausible was really hot. Talk about being a committed girlfriend.

Maybe I just have a

fetish.

Lexi's still my favorite but not by much anymore. The "gun" part during her scene at Lexi's is damn rousing. She's my kinda wild, but yeah, hated everything about the chick up until Ch. 4.
I sort of did. Didn't like her much until the interactions at the hotel bar with the MC, and then with Cece afterwards. My opinion of her grew more positive from then on.

As for the others, I was always neutral or negative about Kira, Robin, Linda or Lexi. Holly is the only other one I've liked besides Cece, but seeing Steph in a different light I was very happy about.

if you didn't found a psychoterapist you feel comfortable yet just keep looking for the right one to talk and let all out/understand yourself and be stronger, nobody is determined by their genetics, you can do it bro, as Cece can

even if it's never a fully won battle, the issues can become manageable
I go to a therapist, but I also have many things around me that help keep me cool. I haven't tried anything in a while, mainly because if I attempt it again, I know it's probably going to be the last, but anyway. I'm doing alright with things that keep me happy and somewhat balanced, but it's not easy at all to stay centered.

Thanks for the good words. (y)

SanchoMod - Multi-Mod (WIP)

Early Access build through end of Chapter 3 of 7 is complete and available available to internal testers. Potential public release of the EA is probable as long as the mod's thread is approved when submitted. I'll keep y'all posted as always. Consolidated info links can be found in my latest profile post here. Regards.
Well, Chapter 4 proved to be a bit of a bear to code but once it was done and bullet-proof I quickly knocked out Ch5-7. Last part of Ch7 challenge was to efficiently allow player to select pics for Cece (option toggled of course via the ChoiceGuide). Here's current rough GUI of that:

I'm getting very close to finalizing the mod and have testers working chapters for any issues. Will keep y'all posted. Regards.

Hopefully last mini-update before packaging and submitting it for y'all.

For those that have used a SanchoMod in the past, know that this is likely the most technically advanced port to date regarding my code. Hopefully nothing that you will find distracting as it's meant to be somewhat stealthy due to the emotional nature of this particular VN. One is to note the MiniStat screen's first page (I recommend playing with it on, just pick your preferred sizing via the options so it's not a nuisance on the screen). I've added a completely dynamic Task column that changes in real-time with zero lag. Here's some random teasers of it in different states:
Also, there's so many little details in the code for instance a Holly progression guide with it's own custom stat named "Holly Path" in the MiniStat. Here's some random teasers of that as well:
Anyway, I'm finalizing all the minute GUI tweaks (you know I'm a bit of a perfectionist) as this VN in particular deserves the very best I can throw at it for a SanchoMod debut. Regards and hopefully the next post will be to the mod's thread link with a DL for y'all to play with.

Edit: BTW, took ~9800 lines of custom code so that the only OEM scripts I had to modify a bit directly are the few dialogue scripts. Every other file will be standard OEM (unchanged).

Thanks you for your time and work!

i gotta ask will there be options at the start of the game like there is/was in the previous mod? What i mean is if we want to play a Lexi playthrough only, that only the lexi points/route will be highlighted?

Good afternoon. I considered how I was going to tackle the ChoiceGuide when I was pre-planning the code before re-writing the project. I decided with this VN being the emotional roller coaster it is that I'd step out of the way as much as possible but still make it very obvious what your choices were going to lead. This is where I usually have "SanchoNote"s in the menu choices...when there's pertinent info that they player may wish to know beyond the normal variable changes. If one has not played a recent SanchoMod it's rather difficult to summarize but becomes quite obvious while playing. A prime example is my recent "SummerScent" mod that has pathing option overload...18 different paths to be exact. I was able to work a system that allows the player to choose at will which way they wanted to steer their play without the mod's interference or interruption of OEM gameflow. I personally feel if I did it the "choose your route" at the beginning method that I'd be re-writing the VN as a kinetic novel of sorts and/or take away from the intended story flow of the dev. If a dev is a poor storyteller then I guess it wouldn't matter but in cases such as this it does imho.

I know this is a long answer and not as clear as I would like (I'm multitasking a bit here), but wanted to give a least a little justification as to my current stance on the decisions made while coding for this title. Once you try the mod (I hope to have something out today), please feel free to voice your opinions either way, critical or otherwise as it's always taken into consideration. Regards.

As someone who deals with severe clinical depression, this game is a real rollercoaster for me. I absolutely love it, but it is very difficult to deal with sometimes - too close to home. After the previous update, I wasn't sure I could continue depending on what happened in this last update. I finally got up the "courage" to play it through today. Well worth it.
Early on I was doing a Cece playthrough since she's the best girl and focus of the game. Later I decided to do a Lexi playthrough and that's what I've gotten to this point with. I think I'm glad I did. I'm not sure how I would have handled what happened if Cece was my primary LI. At some point after the game finishes I may go back through and see how that plays out. Chris is still one of the best "best friends" in all games around. The crossover by DJ Kink and the joke about the MC's from Artemis and this title looking identical cracked me up.

I hope when this title wraps, Drifty keeps making games of this caliber (y)

When I first played this chapter, I knew what to expect already because I had already watched the trailer and once I felt mentally ready, I played it. I put some upbeat music on in the background (BAND-MAID) and played it, hoping the music would take me through that scene on the bridge, and it did, so my emotions weren't as overpowering as they probably would've been.

My mental issues are pretty well documented in this thread, and you're absolutely right, it has been a severe up and down with this game. I don't play any other path but Cece, since that's the girl that mirrors much of my own life when it comes to her emotions.

This is the roughest VN I've ever played, and I couldn't even begin to count how many times it has knocked me down to the point where I've never felt so low, but that Chapter 7 high at the end with her, in that wheelchair, suddenly remembering, and the look on her face, makes all the lows go away instantly.

I've never had a good handle on my emotions, it doesn't take much to make me cry when it comes to heartbreaking scenes in media or romance. I am, a wuss of a woman.

There are times I purposefully watch stuff because I need a good cry, Watership Down is one of my all time fave movies since I was a kid and Bright Eyes played while Fiver goes looking for Hazel after the latter has been shot has always hit me and hit me hard. Shit, even the song alone sets me off.

I've also never wished for someone to get a happy ending in a game harder than I have in this one.

It's an emotional rollercoaster both from the games standpoint and the feeling behind it.

I can't possibly begin to understand what it must feel like to lose a child. I've never had kids so can't hope to understand that bond. I've lost friends and i've lost loved ones but none of those come close.

I also can't imagine what it's been like reliving events to bring this to us.

For what would be classed as a "porn game" by some there are things in here that have cause some people to reflect on moments in their life. You can't not after some of the events and things said.

I don't like being serious because I don't handle it well, it's why I shitpost on the web so much. That being said, I really just wanted to say thankyou. It's one of very few games, adsult or otherwise, that's given me such a massive kick to the feels.

I found this game today, and i don't really know what to say. This is the best virtual novel game i have ever played.
From the way the story is written to how, i feel like the writer is mature from my point of view. Each of the characters had their own problems and weaknesses, Cece tried to solve it for them at the same time ignoring her own problem and building a wall around herself preventing others from helping her. At chapter 6, i cried alot, even when i try to tell myself it's all a game, the feeling won't stop.
Normally i don't like criticising people work because of the effort they put in them, that why i hardly make commit. Great one from the developers, i really enjoyed this VN.

I agree 100% with everything you have said here about LoF. I could not have put it into the correct wording like you have, so I am going to be a cop out and say I second everything you have said. Thanks for putting into words exactly how I have felt since starting my LoF journey. I never actually saw this is a "porn game", more a fantastic story that had some sex scenes.

SanchoMod note:

Expect an update inbound (likely this evening) as after 24hrs of release Blazing-Sun noted I missed the entire Ch6 Lewds in the SanchoGallery. I've fired up the workstation and will start coding them in now. My apologies in advance and regards, I'll keep y'all posted when update drops.

Does anyone know how to trigger the party on the plane? I never manage to do it, I always fall asleep...

When I click on connect to the external speakers I always get the message that there is no song available, I don't understand....
