I just finished my first run of this game; it was intense, definitely not what I expected.
Cece's character was just a punch in the guts. The depiction of the mental issues was so vivid ("It really hurts, but I can't show you where"), so as the daily struggle with her inner demons.
To me it was obvious from the start that, ultimately, she would jump ;
I mean, the mental illness doesn't heal from one day to the other just because you found a new supportive friend, so that was the expected turning of the story. But still, that scene where she falls in the dark, it really broke my heart. I started crying.
But it was a good thing, it's good to have your heart broken every now and then, reminds you to "connect to your feelings", as MC says.
It's funny though that all these emotions just triggered from a "silly porn game".
Whomever wrote this story, I thank you. For all the laughs and the tears equally, because I value them a lot; both of them.

Make sure and play all the routes. they are all awesome! And I know, everyone always worries about what happens to Cece if you choose another girl. Don't worry. You don't have to have a lover to survive hard times... Just great friends who love you.

So, It has been a little less than a year since this game was completed. I did all of the routes early on and of all the girls, Kira was my least favorite (aside from Steph and her drama) But this week I did a Replay of the Robin/Kira route, then I ran Robin Solo, and then last night I did a Kira Solo (I do this while renders are running for my game.) And I have to say that after the replay of the Kira Solo route, I have a new found apreciation for Kira. I may even prefer her to Robin now. That MC/Kira Chris/Robin ending is just amazing! Lexi is still my girl, but that's probably my favorite ending now!
After replaying Leap of Faith with a different route, i noticed that LoF does something i haven't yet seen other AVN doing : the MC "friend", Chris, is not just some moron or useless sidekick present to either enable a route toward a specific woman or just there to make the MC superior in some ways like the MC "friend" does in nearly all AVN.
In Leap of Faith the MC friend is actually behaving like an actually believable friend, and the MC in turn is also acting as being a friend to Chris, going to even help him getting into a relationship with one of the women of the game (like Chris did with the MC)
This gives another good layer of interest to Leap of Faith.

It's not my favorite MC ending, but it is my favorite CHRIS ending ...
Amusingly, my second-favorite Chris ending also involves Robin ...
Afterwards I have played Lexi's path, so I have seen an ending where Cece goes finding her own way through life.
But to be honest, to me this game is about Cece's story: how the mental issues are challenging her life, and how society regards them or even refuses to acknowledge them. That's what resonated with me, at least.
The other characters, the other stories... just feel like a background to this message.

I completely agree, but one thing that we often need to be reminded of in life is that... Although we are the MC of our story, we aren't the Main Character of every story. As you said, this is CeCe's story, we only play a role in it, and I love the fact that we dont have to be central to her story for her story to continue.Afterwards I have played Lexi's path, so I have seen an ending where Cece goes finding her own way through life.

I think maybe what I love so much about it is that she talks about having been whare CeCe is, and when you choose the Kira ending, CeCe heads out into the world to try and find the healing that she needs, but with Kira, you get to see that healing realized and it feels like closure as she stops trying to be multiple things to multiple people and just becomes Kira. Or something...

I would say it depends on the girl... None of them seem to have a very high "resistance" to the MC, but some of their routes take longer to get to the sex than others... for example Kira is probably the easiest/quickest to bed, and Holly is the hardest.
This game is less about the sex and more about the story. If you want sex, you can get it pretty quickly, but it is a story centric game.

I mean, TECHNICALLY Steph is the first to "fall" ... but her, Robin and Kira are about the same as far as "least resistance" goes I think. In a way, Kira is the "hardest" of the three, 'cause even though she can initiate first, she holds back. Neither of the other two hold back once they initiate the act.

As for Steph, I don't think that having had sex with her years prior to the start of the game counts towards her being the first one to bed.
Also, I didn't think it was her who fell, more like the MC who fell from her window

ACTUALLY... Kira takes you to bed at her house, all over her house, right after you get off of the phone call where Lexi invites you to her house. Steph is at Lexi's.
