Wait.. I only played until version 0.4 cause I lost my updates. Can I interpret your words as being a dik being completed?
Nope still long way to go,they just getting started, not that game is short it's very very long,it's got to a point where it left a lot people thinking, the best yet to come but it is a hell of a game with Derek as your buddy you can't go wrong and if you haven't played ain't gonna spoil the fun. But I have my top 1 game city of broken dreamers, got a couple my co-workers hooked on it lol, they also play BaD,and a few more.

Agreed, I know that a lot of people find it amusing when I say that I am more interested in a good story that is interactive and has sex than I am in a linear sex game (especially considering what site I'm on), but I like the writing of the characters and their relationships more than just seeing some renders or animations of the characters naked. If I want to fap I will go find porn. These games, when written well, are worth the time to play them for more than just a quick yank. COBD, LoF, and a few others are interesting, mature games. Makes me wonder what we'd see if US society wasn't so puritanical...

I guess everyone waiting for response, but not me,I figure she has good excuse and remember when linda asked about if he seen Matt and MC asked her why and she didn't answer, that's what has me intrigue, maybe that has something to do why steph had to go,if it didn't why would Matt show up at all. If they were very close friends in school why would she ask and not tell about Matt...don't know but something is going on. I think Dev knows what he's doing, tracking people off and not seeing these little thing's,also Chris not telling about her was a low blow. Friends are suppose to tell you all even if it hurt's,that's what friend's are for for the good and the bad things
I am thinking the Matt part is separate and tied to Linda's story not Stephs cause she didnt know about Steph until MC told her about it. As far as Chris, I can sympathize as i was in a similar situation once, he didnt tell him so he wouldnt fall back into the depression he literally just started to come out of. Also couldnt predict that they would run into each other at the club.

Eh, I don't think you exaggerated at all. Yes BaD has more content and better renders but in terms of story I'd rather play LoF than BaD. LoF I am actually curious to see what happens next, I like the MC, and I like nearly all of the supporting cast. I can't really say the same thing about BaD, overall I am more dissatisfied with it.
Well I did not want to say the same thing cause I have not played the last chapter, but up to version 0.4 I totally agree with you. There was no real underlying plot in Badik. Just living life at university, maybe? I still cannot figure out what is the game about. And so far I do not care much about any of the characters. Here I really want to know what is going to happen.

If anything, Leap of Faith kept giving me Acting Lessons feelings, more than anything else. You know, guy sad after break up, meets new group of girls and start going out of his shell, lots of emotion, amazing best friend, go away with group of friends scenario.

I really liked Acting Lessons, like quite a lot, honestly. Its formula, once you played it is simple, but it worked really well. Totally love Melissa. But I have a lot of higher expectations for Leap of Faith. Which can be potentially counter productive, but that is another discussion.

I could not agree more, but you know about it. I think we had this discussion in several threads multiple times, usually with some other guy asking "dude, where are the sex scenes" o_O

Ohh ok, thank you. I am avoiding City of Broken Dreamers, precisely because I am expecting it to be very good. Thing is, for mystery novels, with a lot of characters and lore, it is very hard for me to follow up if I have to wait to know how it continues. So given that I kind of knew that was what was going to happen, I rather wait till it is complete. It is a different story if I just start playing a game without knowing anything and it becomes a total marvel, like it happened yesterday with Once in a lifetime. If you guys haven't tried, please do. Plot is very good and seriously, I haven't laugh so much in a while.

Yeah, I think you and I share a love for slow burn, well-written stories and redheads. ;) Wish, there were more games which combined the two.

I can tell when a game is good if I play through it multiple times to try different things. LoF is one of the few that I have a game for nearly every LI, I have a game following a walkthrough (Zoey Raven ftw), and then I have a "gotta fuck em all" playthrough. Too few games of this caliber on this site and it is criminally underfunded on Patreon.

I totally love that but I can love things that are not slow burns if they are well written.

I think that what happens is usually a correlation result. Slow burns are held to a higher standard in terms of story and quality (renders, music, final details). The reason is that as slow burns give the player no fast satisfaction as simply fapfest, they cannot just include random sex scenes to make players interested in them.

As we enjoy visual novels for the story more than anything else, it is easier to concentrate in slow burns. Chances are that if they survive, it is very unlikely that their story is bad, as usually that is their main selling point.

I called out slow burns because it is rare to find a well written game that isn't a slow burn. They are out there but so rare. To me story is paramount and sex is secondary (but obviously still necessary). I can't be interested in something that is just sex, that's what other sites are for. VN's don't waste time on grinding mechanics usually and that's why I like them so much. Unfortunately I think I've found all of the ones worth following/playing at this point.

While it may be fun to have a save customized for each girl, I don't think it's necessary for this game so far. It is quite possible to get near max points with every girl in a single runthrough. You miss a couple scenes, but I don't think anything you miss is crucial for any single path. I think everybody pretty much knows MC is interested in everybody else, and nobody is asking him to choose or even seems unhappy yet. That could change in the future if scenes start to be gated behind really high relationship points, but so far nothing is gated higher than 20 (with a max of 25). And of course, barring a harem ending which I'm not really expecting, we will have to choose eventually but that point hasn't come yet. In other words, you're "gotta fuck 'em all" playthrough is probably sufficient at this point in development.

Well, I have three playthroughs for each of the traits and those are focused on each of the LI (there isn't one for Stephanie), then I have the walkthrough one (which gets everything), and then I have my "fuck them all even Steph" playthrough (but that one makes me feel dirty). It's not a "have to" it's a want to thing.

All good games you gotta play them a few times,I don't mind the banging but too many spoils the game and none in 1-2 chapters just kills game too,I've got like 30 games and Patreon for 11 of them, well 1 isn't a game it's Lain's Mods she does excellent job for the walk-through's that's why I support her and the one's that just want milk the cow I stop supporting them. When you have a good game and you know it, greedy people tend to milk the cow and and work half what they use to.And still trying figure out how to put supported games on my profile

WHY WHY WHY!??! Oh why did I find that letter in my pocket?! Now I'm completely screwed.. torn apart.. conflicted..

Is this the best game ever? Perhaps not. Is this game better then 'Being a Dik'? Can't say that it is.. BUT what I truly DO believe is this game is easily on par with 'Acting Lessons', which was 'Being a Dik' - DrPinkCake's first game. Both games are really works of art. Both games beautifully renders and written. Patreon? At this stage of the game DrPinkCake is like the seasoned rock and roll band with a huge following.. Drifty now, he's more like Santana at woodstock.. a virtual unknown who's gonna blow the world away with his talent as time marches on.

Really can't wait to see the progression.
