iirc in one of his older updates he broke down the financials of the game, he basically loses money, so he's got a story to tell but it's a side project If he plans to slow down dev but "eventually finish the game", he may not want people to throw money at him on a monthly basis.
I'm not sure it's really the same thing in this story's scenario, since they didn't find out their relation until after the act. Monk said he wasn't going to make the story about kinks, so that tells me that this event will be a one-time "mistake", or the test results were flawed/falsified.

With mistake I guess Spock meant the incest-sex and not the test. I don't think they will continue on that route, unless MC suddenly changes his stance on incest when it concerns him.
