It's funny how rock bottom your expectations are. Bare minimum should be finishing a "game", and then adding fanservice.

I don't know if it's just a lack of personal commitment to finishing something or just shitting out a half baked remake to bank in on hype

I dont think he meant that, more something like you shouldnt put blame on customers. And i have to correct you, they ignored paying people, forgot the whole revamp thing to ask patreons, only the lucky discord members had a vote in that. Meanwhile, a bloodbound who checked out patreon on a daily basis for one project (sad i know) but wasnt on discord was neither informed or asked. Thats a fact, so to put it in your words: DAFUK?

This game truly is a testament to mankinds ignorance, instead of finishing what they started they scraped it to make a worse product with worse art that contrary to what they say literally almost no one asked for, they have gone through years of "work" with the only thing to show for it is the currently irrelevant .8 version. I posted message about 2 months ago and even then I saw "demo will be released in a little bit." This game will never be finished, as long as they get the monthly paycheck its not like the room full of mentally challenged apes with typewriters who call themselves developers are going to pick up the pace. I predict two years from now this game will be abandoned or at a laughable yanderesim state and people will still be defending it.

there isnt realy a gallery ... it just means that if u visit her/him again, and talk/do things with him/her, then u get new sceenes or dialogs

They actually put forth a rough deadline for the first demo content to appear which will be available to the public and show the basic build of the overhauled game and its general design. As far as I remember they said December and definitely before next year. So thats the timeframe we are looking at.

They're scam artists. They know exactly what they are doing and I feel sorry for the people who didn't catch on. There's a post saying that the beta/demo was going to be out in December 2019. I stopped donating more than a year ago because I could see through their lies. Since they remade the game they've probably made almost 100k collectively. Tomorrow they could just abandon the project and all of their supporters would be left with nothing.

We just want to watch Krystal get fucked by a bunch of Lizards. Whether she's a submissive little slave slut, or becomes a dominatrix or loses her inhibitions or whatever. We want to see her get pounded. We don't care about this RPG shit, if we did we would play Skyrim with mods.

This def goes pretty high on the list for top 10 disappointments on this site

I'm not going to discuss anything about delays, or theorize about scamming (only the time will show)
But i would like to say a few words about "no rpg shit". Lore and storyline of specificly this game is the reason why Lok rebirth became one of my favorite. It was much better than all previous stuff "you crashed, now get fucked by every lizard for no reason and with poor storyline".
Thats what actually gave quality to this project, dividing it from all the buggy flash scraps. I started playing it like an actual interesting game, forgetting it was a porn. I could see that devs had put a lot of effort in previous version of LOKR. Really hope that they will keep it the same in remake.
By the way, me personally hasnt donated a single coin yet, but, unlike you, im optimistic and will fix that as soon as i see a good quality beta version. (Still dont like the patreon monthly payments though, will do a single pay)

Playshapes' was the original, yes, but the daily jobs and unlocking progressively lewder scenes according to your stats seems to me like the pre-reboot game was inspired by Gorepete's version.

Let's be honest, Legend of Krystal the Original doesn't exist. Or it is buried beyond at least 10 different versions from what I saw. There is LoK, LoK 2 and 3, LoK vG, LoK vE, LoK (not the first one, another one), LoK Rebirth ect ect ect.
I am not even sure if the forums came after or before the idea, but most of those games can be found on legendofkrystal.com. I don't know how the current situation will unfold, but if it is not abandoned, I hope the devs will keep the way they are building the game.

Despite it being abandoned, I do recommend you play through the 0.8 version of the game that's in the OP right now. The writing is pretty good, and the animations are good as well. It's just the gameplay itself that can be a slog. So maybe consider using Cheat Engine to speed that up.
