All information on the current state of things can be found on the discord.Patreon updates have been mostly animation streams and one fuck-up using Google Sheets from a light skim of the most recent posts, I didn't scroll too far, only to the beginning of this month.
I'm gonna hazard a guess and hope to be wrong but this entire remake of a rebirth probably wasn't a good idea and November was a generous release date.
Can't wait to see those combat, open world adventure, and sandboxing systems being released.
To what the patron paid for, i'm not sure. But that it was not planned to be how you describe it. In that i'm sure as hell. What are their patreon supporters here for?
They are here to see krystal get fucking fucked in a 1,000 different ways. Thats what was originally advertised. That's what was originally in the demo. That was the original plan. That is what people paid for.
People did not pay them to make some furry, KOTAR, platformer....thing.
theres a word for when people sell a product and deliver something completely different...scam...
Its disingenuous. Imagine paying money on patreon because you were advertised a harem game and then they change it into a guro sex slave simulator. I would want my money back. I think patreon should implement rules against.
Not only that but judging by how infrequent the updates were with making a smaller game... what makes them think that they can make a bigger game?
I see an "Abandoned" tag looming over the horizon.
Truth. If this was any other game besides a Krystal game, it would have been abandoned years ago. What are their patreon supporters here for?

The ironic thing is that Krystal games have historically been doomed to fail, they're all cursed.Truth. If this was any other game besides a Krystal game, it would have been abandoned years ago.
Fact is, a Krystal game could come out in 10 years and still have a following. The developers are just mooching off of the fact that it is Krystal and not another character.
sadly my fellow forumiteThe ironic thing is that Krystal games have historically been doomed to fail, they're all cursed.
This one's lasting this long only because they're not working on it. xD
Cursed? probably... even the real original game for the gamecube flopped and was poorly received. The ironic thing is that Krystal games have historically been doomed to fail, they're all cursed.

YEAH! She was my first furry crush actually, and among my first few idolised cool female heroines at the time.Cursed? probably... even the real original game for the gamecube flopped and was poorly received.
a shame because krystal got me into this furry business in the first place.
Imagine this scenario: A couple of my friends and i decide to build a house. We have never done anything like this before, but we know that we have to dig a hole first for the foundation, so we decide to start doing that while we figure out the rest. People who see us work compliment us on how well the hole turned out to be and how much they liked it. "That's great" we reply, "but we kind of wanted a house here". After a while we just admit that we can't get a house like this and hire some professionals who have worked in the construction business for years. What are their patreon supporters here for?

Except a reasonable group of people would have a roadmap with real planning and landmarks, house blueprints or a semblance of them, and not go on a trip to the Philippines using money graciously donated by the strangers who were really hoping to get at least the foundation for the house finished within 2 years.Imagine this scenario: A couple of my friends and i decide to build a house. Now some people say that they miss the old hole and some ask why we think that anything would be different now that we hired people who know how to build in the first place?
That's basically the development story of this game in short. As far as promises go, a side-scroller rpg with lots of sex was the promise all along, but what we got so far is basically the gallery section of a real RPG. And all of us here liked it. Those who didn't probably left long ago anyway.
But as i understand, the team basically had an artist, an animator and a writer. And if you notice that they have no programmer even tho they are trying to make a program, then you are right. They now hope to be able to make a bigger game, because now they have someone on the team who can actually make a game.
I agree with the first half completely. They made a big mistake and the criticism is justified.Except a reasonable group of people would have a roadmap with real planning and landmarks, house blueprints or a semblance of them, and not go on a trip to the Philippines using money graciously donated by the strangers who were really hoping to get at least the foundation for the house finished within 2 years.
They would definitely not expect to not get criticism after having just a hole to show for all that was donated. Your analogy of a hole is really fitting and really sad because it really is just a hole, and now they're digging a second one that nobody asked for beside it.
They complained that people were being harsh in the past when faced with scrutiny, namely with 0.8 which was meant to be a rather large release but contained a single scene, and an ugly CG one at that.I agree with the first half completely. They made a big mistake and the criticism is justified.
But maybe i missed something, after all i just occasionally read things here, but i don't remember any indication that they didn't expect or accept criticism. And nobody asked for the second one? Apparently at least 1850 patrons did.
In the end, there are only 2 options now, because the current version is a dead end: either they start over or they close shop. So if you don't want them to start over, would you prefer if they just dropped the whole thing and left now?
Oof, that's a hot take.Dev was getting closer to finishing it which means his patreon bux would dry up, it makes sense he would scrap it and start over lol.
I'll read back on that later when i have some time. 0.8 was quite a letdown with it's lack of content, but wasn't that also the time where they warned patrons to pull out their donations for a while, or was that some other time? They complained that people were being harsh in the past when faced with scrutiny, namely with 0.8 which was meant to be a rather large release but contained a single scene, and an ugly CG one at that.
Feel free to hold that opinion, just don't forget that you are the one who brought up the absolutes. I asked you about it because your stance didn't leave much room for grey areas.Only a really immature person deals in absolutes like those but I'll humour it.
This is the part you seem to have gotten wrong. The current "system" isn't even a system and it isn't stable at all. Based on every single post they have made, without a restart new patches would keep on becoming slower and smaller until they just stopped. So even if they went beck to this scene selection gallery style, they would have to start again from scratch. That's why i wondered if you were against any form of restart and just wanted this project to end or you had something else in mind.Continue working with a system they've already built that is fairly interesting and stable or truck along with something they have absolutely nothing for yet and will likely take another 3 years to get anything, let alone something conclusive, out of?
Well, they've made their choice. I personally am looking forward to the end of November.
