Considering that in the second image Kaori is literally wearing Sekai's dress, no, it's an intentional callback. In her own way, Sekai is hovering over both conversations.

My first post in this thread was essentially a complaint that the puzzles were too easy.

Honestly, nobody really in particular, just the names that stand out. There are also a few names like Alex and LoliconKami that don't come around too often anymore though, too.

Honestly I just want to say sel has become incredibly good at writing these school girls while we were all guessing at dorm wars 1 level of writing. Incredibly hyped for beach wars, this may be the best update.

Did not see Rin x Molly in a cook-off coming. Like at all. Quite a bit of these come out of left field.

The only ones that are not really surprising are Yumi x Tsuneyo, Ami x Touka, Futaba x Nodoka, and Maya x Noriko. Also Chika x Uta makes sense in retrospect. I forget this is a porn game sometimes. Gotta have some Fanservice.

To my defense, I complained that they weren't actually puzzles to begin with, and that's the problem. Give me a bona-fide puzzle for my autistic brain to chew on, gorramit.

DOn't feel bad, a lot of people got tripped up on that one.

It took me two tries because the first time I assumed the "More like loser 1" bit was not part of the answer, and, well, here we are.

Also seeing as how these thoughts tend to come up at the beach, and the next war thing with Ayane will be against Yasu, likely around the beach, I'm guessing we might be finding out in the near future just how possible this is.

I do agree that Sekai is involved in both of course.
The dress the woman standing next to little Kaori is a bit different though.
Sekai's is brighter and has long sleeves for example.
I wonder who that woman is. Some think that's older Kaori? Why not her mother, or less likely an older sister?

I thought i've seen someone/thing mentioning that "a pink haired girl" might be lying. Implying that whoever that is, should not be trusted, or could hold things back. Like Maya did, again . That's why the "you jumped" came to mind.

Yeah, startled works.

I'm not sure about "a pink haired girl" lying, but the Shapeshifter mentioned that Niki is suspicious and possibly a shapeshifter. There was also how a Narrator was questioning if everyone was lying recently.

With all the altered memories, visual alterations, time manipulation, and possibly shapeshifters around, though, It's virtually impossible to know who's lying or not, or even if they could know they are lying, tbh.

Older Kaori was made mostly for custom pieces made for high-paying patrons. If he used a recycled asset for that, it'd cost him most of of his revenue. It's older Kaori. Specifically, it's child Kaori looking up to her older self.

Same here, it's been almost 2 years since I made that comment and the story definitely meandered for a while. It feels like things are starting to tighten up a bit at least

Yeah the last several updates have actually been more plot heavy. Asides for the annoying "puzzles" and Sel being a bitch in general, that was by far my biggest complaint about the game. Before it felt like most updates were "anime filler" style with some plot heavy ones once or twice a year.

I imagine the game will shift gears into the so-called "dark path" soon, not sure how the plot will play out there. Seems like having "cute filler" on a so-called dark path wouldn't really fit.

I'm still apprehensive about the planned length and timeline to finish though.
