According to something Sel said on the Discord, most of it is "teenagers just like to change the way they look sometimes."
Though I suspect that Chika's is specifically because she's going to be workiing at the Maid Cafe, and the cafe required natural hair.

Rin is the reason I started playing this game in the first place. Went in positively, utterly blind; I didn't even read the description or any comments. Browsing itch.io saw a pic of depressed Rin and decided to play this on a whim (2021.) Thought LiL was a generic dating sim with the usual elements.
