Damn, 15-year-olds sure are advanced these days. Back in my day, all they did was worry about boys, popularity and fashion.

Check your happy scenes. You're probably missing a couple. As long as you have all of them except the last done and every event other than the new Chika/Futaba ones, that event will trigger on a Saturday morning.
I miss only one happy scene and that one should come up during seasons event right? I spent like and hour trying to figure out how to trigger this lol

If you have all of those done except for the last one you’re likely missing a side character event. Just check one of the walkthroughs people have posted on here. You’ll get hard-stuck unless you do literally everything available

You know, maybe Schadenfreude should be locked behind whatever Rin event has her asking you to wait until she makes her attempt? Right now, it is kind of a problem that people can inadvertently become a bad homie if they focus on one girl over the other. I feel like this is something that should be a choice for them to make, not simply something to stumble into.

I kinda agree with since I think it is cool to have such choices. I think solution would be to have warning that this choice matters or something since up to that point there is nothing to suggest that something can affect other girl and we were purposely put on path to complete everything.

This thread always somehow makes me hit my reaction limit, so sorry if I miss any of you when I would normally throw a reaction your way. For those I miss, have a thumbs up as a collective consolation.(y)

I'm not sure how you could handle "optional" pregnancy in a more linear game like this where all the characters know each other. Any "optional" pregnancy would have huge ramifications for the storyline and necessitate two wildly different narrative branches that would be way too much for anyone to handle.

I think the dev has said not to expect pregnancy. For those of us into the stuff though I'm glad there have been some lines of dialogue thrown in there, girls talking about wanting your babies and such. I'm kinda hoping some of the "purity routes" contain pregnancy, at least their endings, but that's so far down the line I doubt it's worth speculating about at the moment.
Endings, some are already at least partially aware Sensei is doing things with another girl, so it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that, by the end of the story, he could impregnate them all. Just an idea, I don't care either way as long as it doesn't negatively impact the vision of Selebus.

As Alex said, not fucking Sara currently locks you out of her lust events. However, it's stated a couple times that you can hear everything that happens upstairs while downstairs in the bar, which is probably gonna play into Sana's scenes heavily in the future. Ultimately, the choice is yours, and is currently only really a debate on whether you wanna sleep with Sara or not.
I'm pretty sure Selebus specifically said an all girl run, where you get every girl with scenes in one run, would remain a viable option. It will most definitely have consequences in the form of variations in Sana's content, but I don't see Sana getting a lockout at this point because that would mean either skipping Sara entirely because of her lockout for not doing her stuff at that point. It would force a one or the other decision, which is both contrary to what Selebus stated and counterproductive to the point of having to restart. I could, however, see a lockout further down involving different factors. Maybe Sana gets aroused by what she hears and she eventually can't take it and asks to be included or to get the same treatment separately. It wouldn't even necessarily have to go incestuous because Sana and Sara wouldn't have to do things to each other even if they are both in the scene, so it would remain Patreon safe in that regard. It only counts as an incest threesome if two or more are both related and interacting with each other, after all.

In a site like VNDB, it would probably get the Supernatural Tag to it too. At least in it's current form. Everything "supernatural" might end up thrown out of the window once we have the whole story in front of us, tho. For example, if sensei's actually been hallucinating the whole time (please don't make that the final plot twist.. it's way too cliché).

Also, since I saw that mentioned earlier: MORE SKA PLEASE! That obviously means more Yumi, but also more throwback to my old show-going self, going to Reel Big Fish concerts, or Mighty Mighty Bosstones, etc.
I'm not so sure there are supernatural forces actually involved. I have theories in both directions, but I'm leaning toward a more rational explanation.

Any sane person with a brain can literally say "That one doesn't count"
REEEEEEEEEEEEE- *Intense cat raging noises*
┻━┻︵ \(°□°)/ ︵ ┻━┻.
Yeah, no, all things matter in a game like this. Remember the previous discussions involving the sound components and the 'happy' scenes.

Ain't my fault I didn't know that was coming, I chose to go with Chika first had no idea about Rin, so it don't count.

As is proven in the game, as long as you keep resetting, the pain was never there, and that means that We are God We can avoid hurting very fragile girls with some of our ignorances
Unless you're Maya or player Sensei, then you suffer untold consequences the likes of which the other girls cannot possibly understand.

I love this game and i have been playing it for a while im now on day 684 and i still have not gotten through the main story event "The Value of Sharing". I kinda wish there was a better guide than the one this is on this site. Im afraid im going to have to restart since i am too far without the events happening. I have triggered a decent chunk of all of the girls events but some of them just dont happen like Miku's "Thighs on Demand" and Makoto's "Aftermath". Im guessing its just the main story gating it but the main event just wont trigger and i think i have done everything i could at this point. If anyone knows what im doing wrong if you could let me know. I mean i wouldnt be that upset if I had to restart because i love this game but it will be a smidge annoying to get all the characters back up to a +70 on their affections and a +10 - +20 on lust. (I def know im going overboard on them but thats just me trying to get an event to start by doing everything tied to a character like before i did the beach event i had all the important characters to +60 because i never did the "Happy Event" tied to the start)
Some events need an event for certain characters or a 'happy' event to be triggered. Try visiting the girls at the dorm, try visiting their weekend spots, try calling them, and for the three or four currently able, try inviting them over. You may have a character scene that serves as a prerequisite still locked.

This game has gotten really weird. Some of the images seem to have come from someone that's been using drugs for way too long. Way too much text to just click through. This started out as a somewhat decent game, but it's too creepy. Time to move on to a game that doesn't show young girls being crucified among just a bunch of weird and crappy text that's used as a filler.

From day 179 or so to day 183+ is just a random bunch of clicking to different locations? Complete waste of time playing this game anymore. I honestly don't know how the dev gets any support.
Because it is the best game on this site and several others by a landslide. Other games do sex for the sake of sex or just aren't very well written. What Selebus has done here is thrown that model completely out the window to focus on the story with sex on the side. The 'random clicking' is how you trigger the girls' events, by the way, so it isn't random, and this is a VN, which inherently means lots of clicking. If you aren't getting anything, there are no more events to trigger by going to that location where the requirements have been met. As for its creepiness, you were playing a game with HORROR elements, you can't expect those to be all sunshine and rainbows. When playing a horror game or a game that has horror elements, this applies in both cases, be prepared for horror. Especially in the Denpa subgenre of horror.

This guy's probably, 100%, definitely stuck in the broken world or something, Praying to Hope-sama then going to the rooftop will solve it
Or he just can't handle the horror elements he was warned about before even having a copy of the game, which is what it sounds like to me. There are multiple comments throughout the thread, there is a horror tag applied, and I'm pretty sure there is a warning before the game truly begins. He was warned, he failed to heed the warnings. An inability to handle it is perfectly fine, most probably can't handle this game, but passing it off as the game being below decent quality just because he is among them isn't right. It also sounds like he failed to notice the big, red tag at the front of the title that says VN considering he mentioned the amount of clicking.

“This horror game is too creepy” and “There is too much reading in this visual novel” are probably some of the best things I’ve heard about this game so far.
I know, it's like they've never touched a horror VN before.

Wha...? I swear I've seen so many comments about being traumatized or get scared too much they can't continue or something

*Suspicion intensifies*
That's because they try the game and find out they can't handle it, which is perfectly fine, not everyone will be able to. I wouldn't say I've been traumatized, but there are definitely some lasting effects from a few events in particular.

I'll never understand this complaint. I mean, it's a freaking VISUAL NOVEL; key word here is NOVEL. FFS, people kill me.
Exactly, people need to read ALL elements of the thread before they try something. I will bet my entire savings, not literally, that this is yet another case where people skip the OP except the links, skip the tags, and skip previous comments. It is in the title in bright red that this is a VN, the tags list horror, there are pages of comments about the horror elements, yet they complain that it is 'too creepy' or 'there's too much clicking' when the information was right in front of them the entire time they were on this thread.

Decided to make a new banner with some of my favorite quotes on it

and my absolute favorite: Without pregnancy the game seems pointless"

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
THIS IS F-ING GOLD!!!
This is too funny, I stop laughing only to look again and the laughter returns. I do have to say there are several here that I haven't seen, but maybe I skipped over them subconsciously because I'm trying to comb through the comments that appear each time I come back to see if anyone has any interesting discussion on potential future outcomes or events.

Other than the idea that words in a novel could be considered padding, It's the no animations one that gets me.

Apart from it being demonstrably untrue, surely it's the transformative parts (i.e. the annoying wordy bits) that are the draw anyway?

If not, given the site we're posting on, why not go to the koikatsu thread: download that, then mash those anime waifus' jiggly bits together to your heart's content?

Baffling.
It is the 'annoying wordy bits' that are supposed to be the main focus, indeed. As for getting Koikatsu and mashing the waifus' jiggly bits together, these particular ones specifically, that might be a bit difficult seeing as these characters are only available to Selebus and $10 and up subscribers/patrons. That's where it gets both a bit ironic and counterproductive, they would have to support the game with the 'annoying wordy bits' to get to the characters.

That's gold.

I think the only thing that could be addressed is the whole "terminal number" thing. It's NOT an issue when you play the game in one sitting (or just all at once in general, like when it'll be fully released), but since it's listed in a past release, like the IP address, it's not really something you can just remember from a month ago. I had totally forgotten about what had happened in past happy events and only knew where to look from some hints in the thread.

Also, as someone in the thread said before, maybe do something for people that are deaf/hard of hearing so they can find out the port number? That one requires you to be able to hear. Maybe something as simple as hiding it in the file name? It would stay in the theme imo.
Or just do it the old fashioned way, you know, from back when there was no replaying to get information and all you had was the text in front of you, like the old program Zork or the program written off of Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy. No, I am not that old, but I have played those old adventure programs and you did have to do things outside your machine because they got expansive very quickly and you would lose track of where you had already been or what you already did. Just write things that seem important down. It should be obvious at this point that anything that repeatedly comes up is important. As for the deafness issue, that has been addressed, Selebus said no.

The best part is that there aren't even just a few animations. There are 115 fucking individually rendered .webms as of 0.11.0.

EDIT: Actually 103. 115 Is the count after the next update. Forgot I already moved files over.
Still  I am nearly speechless, I know from my own fooling around in Koikatsu how much work that is just to get the still renders, then you have to animate it. You wouldn't believe how many times I've accidentally twisted fingers and wrists into unsightly horrors just posing girls.

Maybe hiding it somewhere in the game folder as a "hidden" file can be a good, easy thing to find?
A certain game with a black soul or something did it and its contents were G R E A T
\@ w@/

I think they just want to spam lust animations
= w=ll
Then they are trying to follow a game model that this game is not following. Most games here follow the 'sex for the sake of sex' model IF they are a game that contains sex. People need to learn that that is not all that exists. These are the same people who usually claim wrongfully that this site is for porn games on threads with the no sexual content tag and it gets just as tiring as people not reading the freaking thread just as quickly.

If people only knew how much work creating scenes in Koikatsu can entail, they'd be ecstatic that there's that many.
I know, the only reason I'm aware is because I have done still renders myself. Maybe if these people took some time to mess around in the studio, they would see the light.

While I don't think it applies to this particular game, let's stop pretending like "too many words" argument in a visual medium doesn't make sense at all c'mon guys.
It doesn't make sense, there is no pretending. They call it a visual NOVEL for a reason.

They're pretty much the people who skips story-driven cinematics or cinematics in general...
And probably skip through any and all text to get to the porn. For those that do this, specifically any who decide to use that as an excuse to throw negativity at the game, if you lock yourself out of a character, it is your fault and yours alone, not the game's. Pay attention to EVERY SINGLE DETAIL, write seemingly important information down, actually do as the characters ask, that last one is for my fellow bad homies out there. I know, I did it, too, and I still regret it even though I fixed the issue.

Oh yeah 100%. I totally get why people would want pregnancy but calling the game pointless without it is just silly.
Indeed, it just doesn't fit in the timeline of the game unless there is some sort of epilogue scene that shows a future version of them at a point in pregnancy where they would be showing. Even then, that means making character variants for pregnancy like you did with Rin's depression episodes.

Hail dev, mind telling me if Hope-sama really is real since I still can't bring myself to play this latest update in this site?

Thou dare decline thy existence of our one true deity???!!!
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-
Heretics, the lot of them. Glory to HOPE-Sama. Praise be! (I swear this is turning into a cult.)

I think it does. Since it's a visual medium, there have to be balance between text and, well, visuals. Imagine damping a walls of text or having long dialogues with between characters without any changes of camera angles or barely any movement at all.
As you said, the focal point is the writing, but delivery is important too. There's case to be made that "too much words" is still too much, even in vn.
It isn't a visual medium, though. It is a text medium with a visual aid. While there is a major difference between a text based game with some visuals, like Free Cities, and a visual novel, like Saya No Uta, they are both text based mediums. The visuals are secondary in both cases, hence the word novel in visual novel.

This game is fucking amazing and I'm not even finished playing. Just a bit depressed since I did Chika at the start so

Oof, yeah, I ran face first right into that brick wall when I got to that point, so I know the pain. There probably will be consequences for the cheats in game, but you might be able to fix it using the console with the right variable. The problem there is I forgot what the variable is.

Be a true homie and start a new run as punishment for us betraying our homie!!!
But yeah not paying close attention really leads to SOME bad events...
Indeed, all bad homies must walk the path to glorious salvation, only then will the glorious HOPE-Sama grant us a second chance with Rin. Praise be! (I am having way too much fun with this.)

Yep. Because they are, you know, books.
As is this, essentially, just with pictures and clicking instead of scrolling pages. Sometimes even voice acting like an audio book with a visual aid.

I started playing it probably 10 or 15 times. But it's like an anime... First it's the number of cuties that gets your attention, then it's the shitty plot that ruins it.
All the little things aside, it's the same here, every time I play for the sake of cuties and find the dialogues (exactly the dialogues when two or more people talk) very interesting and enjoyable, I don't mind a long story and long relationship development at all...
But... every time I run into the same problem.... what age is the game meant for? because i have a strong impression that the game is written by a 15 year old girl for 15 year old girls. Because...
The in-between monologues and these "happy" inserts such idiocy, such a waste of time... stupid, pseudo-religious bullshit... and then there's this complicated thing about developing a relationship with the girls...
I thought, "okay, you can skip all that for the sex scenes with the cuties," but then I ran into a problem, too.
On the one hand the bjs scenes look great and that's what i love a lot, but then the sex scenes go on and then it's totally fucked up... what the fuck is this? what kind of kindergarten is that?
I think you're doing either "softcore" or "hardcore" or something in between, but mixing it up is ridiculous.
I have terrible mixed feelings about this novel, but considering that it's a porn game, I would say that the impression is rather negative.
I would throw another laugh reaction, but I reached my reaction limit. It IS NOT a porn game, it is a game with sexual elements on the side. The writing is the main aspect, not the sex.

Meh, "too real for a porn game", "Too much plot" kind?
Indeed

Shit I’m gonna have to make a new banner now
Please do, I haven't reached my comedy quota for the week yet.

Write "Selebus, the 15 y/o girl" on it. Advice from a fellow 15 y/o girl.
Because all 15-year-old girls quote 18th-century poets while satirizing Christianity and spouting existentialism.
Maybe in the 90's when that shit was cool ;)
Damn, 15-year-olds sure are advanced these days. Back in my day, all they did was worry about boys, popularity and fashion.
I have no words appropriate to use as a reply, so please just have a laugh emoji in place of the laugh reaction I can't give you at the moment, you've earned it.

and now I'm caught in a time loop ? the same day repeats without end after Maya's hanjob, repeated for 20 days and it's all the same... where is the solution ?
If it's the event where you are stuck in town with no other people, visit every location. Pay attention because there will be text if you hit something that helps progress.

Or maybe just don't do it until you aren't endangering other character events. They are already locked behind interaction, so you have to go to a specific location with a specific affection level to trigger a specific event. If you don't go to that specific location with that specific affection level, it will not trigger. Schadenfreude is not a prerequisite for any events before you are clear to see it without consequence. There are multiple events that interact with other girls' events, so focusing on one girl could get you stuck at a point where you need to find out who needs more affection anyway. I've been there, roaming the streets trying to find out which girl is blocking progress. Most of us stumbled into the Schadenfreude lockout because Schadenfreude was added before the event it locks out and we weren't made aware until we had already saved with the damage done.

I kinda agree with since I think it is cool to have such choices. I think solution would be to have warning that this choice matters or something since up to that point there is nothing to suggest that something can affect other girl and we were purposely put on path to complete everything.
The warning is already there, when a character asks you to do something, or more accurately not to do something, you listen to them. Rin specifically made you promise not to go after Chika until she had a chance to confess. If you did Schadenfreude, you went after Chika before Rin had a chance to confess and broke your promise to Rin. You were a bad homie and that means she will no longer take you into consideration as a possible love interest later.

This probably one of the few criticisms I have of this game. You can become a "bad homie" before you even become a homie.

The only other thing that I had a hard time with was "Blue Jay". To me, it felt like the first time the MC was more responsible than not for what happened by their actions. That obviously could change as the game progresses but so far to me, outside of that, there is another component beyond the MC's influence that overshadows the girl's happiness for all of the others.

I would agree except for the fact that you can pursue Chika before you even know Rin has feelings for her and the outcome is the same.

How would you know you are endangering anything before you get Rin's event where she asks you to not go after Chika? If someone decides that they really like Chika and focuses on clearing her events while leaving Rin on a backburner, they could clear the entirety of the former's event line before getting even one event from the latter. I guess you could make a philosophical point about this representing how we can hurt people and bury opportunities without any malice, just from ignorance, but that sounds a bit hollow to me.

That's because his influence is part of the problem as is this other component. They are what is driving the events to unfold as they have so far.

I would agree except for the fact that you can pursue Chika before you even know Rin has feelings for her and the outcome is the same.
Yeah, at the risk of not being able to progress because a necessary event is tied to a character you aren't at a high enough affection with. There are multiple cases of this in the beach event alone, where there are character events for multiple characters that either are required for the beach event itself or are required to get a main event that is required for the beach event. You DO NOT have to do Schadenfreude at any point before Rin tries to confess. If you pursued Chika prior to even the promise, it is not the game's fault, it is not Selebus's fault, it is not Rin's fault, it is not Chika's fault, it is yours and yours alone because you proceeded. Those of us who got hit because there was no lockout when we did Schadenfreude are one thing, we didn't have the warning signs to tell us not to proceed until it was too late, but that isn't an issue at this point. This specific lockout also has the most talk in the thread, so it is impossible to miss if you read the thread. I'm not trying to be mean or hostile, just blunt and straight to the point, but there are multiple signs saying don't do it until you are clear of Rin's confession in all media pertaining to this game.

How would you know you are endangering anything before you get Rin's event where she asks you to not go after Chika? If someone decides that they really like Chika and focuses on clearing her events while leaving Rin on a backburner, they could clear the entirety of the former's event line before getting even one event from the latter. Rin specifically asks you to leave Chika alone until she gets her shot. If you proceeded with Chika before this, that isn't the game's fault. That philosophical point is exactly why the game does this, because choices have consequences. That isn't hollow, that's how it is in the real world as well, except in this you can at least go back and try again. There are no second chances in real life.

Yeah also as I pointed out there was nothing in game to suggest that it will affect it since even if you hear that you might assume she won't find out but MC tells her anyway. I had hardest time for that event where MC forces upon yumi out of nowhere or reason. It would made more sense if she was leading him on and he got caught in moment or something but this was just unexpected.
