Never thought he'd give any response to theories at all. Surprise surprise.
Not really a theory question, more of a clarity thing. I didn't even say what I was speculating to him. My whole theory was based on a depicted bird being X breed. I asked if he intended to use Y breed in that scene intentionally or if it was a mistake and was going to use X (or my reverse image search gave me the wrong breed of bird). He said it didn't matter what breed it was for that scene and any bird would have worked, but breeds everywhere else are important. Funny that the one scene where all my theories hinged was the one bird that didn't matter lol. Love the game far too much to ask for spoilers.

Actually I say that that breed doesn't matter, but who knows, maybe it will mater later on... it is a bird we hadn't seen before that point. At least I don't think.

I guess that it had something to do with baby finches and maybe noodles (and maybe Noriko because knife? :))?

But yeah i asked Selebus once if it was ok to theorise about the game and i got an "yeah i like that" response. I just didnt thought Selebus would response to anything even far specific.

So I started replaying the game and in like the first ami dorm event I discovered something really fun. On ami's pc there is the f95zone page of Lessons in Love opened.

In the same scene it's mentioned that Ami has money to buy manga, and when sensei asks her where she gets money from, she dodges the question by saying it's nothing bad and he shouldn't worry about it.

And Selebus has an Ami profile picture.

I am calling it now, in the game world, LiL exists in-universe, and Ami is Selebus. ( I am kidding. But I also would not be super shocked if it was true. )

Yeah, the rabbit hole goes pretty deep. The discord has, like, entire tribes of theories. There's a LOT there, the porn is like 1% of the surface.
I keep trying to access the discord but i always get a "Messages failed to load", any help?

Edit: Wait, so because i don't have permission to send messages i can´t even SEE what people write? That sucks.

This one REQUIRES you to know certain details. It even specifically says to write them down in at least one case.
In exactly one case, several hours into the game, with not even the tiniest hint before that. But once it happens, the right thought should be "oh, I must watch for puzzles now, there will surely be some (if I'm not doing it already, because I always do that, even when there isn't any indication that there will be any)". Then I see where I failed, mine thought was "hmm, what's the point, why should I suddenly write something down? but if it says so...".

The information needed is given in a way that is extremely arbitrary and sticks out like a sore thumb.
Seriously? Sensei's slightly amusing password, which suggests that he's really hopeless pervert (and that he doesn't know how to make secure passwords) sticks as something you should write down? Some random usernames in weird "radio noise" somehow seeping to the world from who knows where (or whatever is really happening) too? So out of curiosity what else does stick out? Did you write down how much Sensei paid for his hamburger? It could be important! Or it could be a trick question, because I have no idea if it was mentioned.

The player is expected to look for important information from the first sentence of the game.
And what exactly should give player that idea? Remember, the event with address happens much later. So any time between the beginning and that moment? Or is it just default assumption, that in every game could be a puzzle? And when you finish it and there wasn't any, then oh well, just throw away the full notebook, take a new one, sharpen the pencil, and be ready for next one? Because one day it will be worth it! ;)

Nope, not at all. :p

One case is plenty to know to do it in the future. There doesn't need to be a thought on puzzles because it very easily could have been a different format entirely, maybe a multiple choice option like we get with the consequence of locking out a girl. The puzzle wasn't even in the game when the information was added, but it still throws a giant red flag, or at least should when common sense is involved.

Yeah, Sensei's slightly amusing password. It is a VERY specific detail to be giving out like it was. Seriously, if a game is throwing something THAT specific your way, it would make sense that it is important. It's not like it's just some random detail for the sake of the writing. Most people don't know how, or don't care enough, to make secure passwords for entirely personal things, plus passwords get harder to remember the harder they are made to be, so a harder password risks being permanently locked out of his stuff. Not going to argue the pervert part, you're right on that one, he really is one. Yeah, random usernames in whatever form SHOULD be an obvious cue to write them down. Usernames don't just fall out of the sky. Also, if it has to do with a 'happy' scene, it is important because the 'happy' scenes are the underlying main story. While the actual listed main events are what is happening on the surface, the 'happy' scenes are what is going on under that surface. ANYTHING in a main event is important, whether it is in the main event category or the 'happy' scene category.

As far as what I wrote down, literally everything, in my own words of course because I am not writing more than the entire combined "Lord of The Rings" and "The Hobbit" franchises combine by hand. Yeah, that includes seemingly minor details. I'm not taking chances with this game because I am on a mission to keep my run so far perfect.

ANY event at ANY time in the game before the puzzle that presents ANY information that is seemingly random or that sticks out should be an automatic red flag, it doesn't matter how far into the game it is as long as it is before the puzzle. This applies to the future as well as I doubt we've seen the last puzzle.

You wouldn't believe the entire bookshelves of notes I still have on other games either because, yeah, even some of the least likely games to have one come up with some form of puzzle, or because the game was inherently a puzzle game.

For anyone interested, I decided to decode the ciphertext from the new encounter with HOPE, from Makoto's Beach Event, "I'm Not Here".

This time, it's ROT7 instead of ROT19, but still fairly trivial to identify and decode, which is obviously a positive thing since a visual novel is probably better off being possible to, y'know, actually read even without specialized skills. ROTN is casual enough to only add enjoyment instead of also frustration.

LOL! Until wakana left the room i thought nodokas introduction is the most boring of all time...but then....*laugh*

But one growing aspect is bothering me...the amount of fully useless thoughts. Like you meet one, think half the time about random pointless stuff and only spend the other half with the person you are meeting and thinking about her/the conversation.
I mean, i get it, his insanity deepens, but not mine and too many of this long trains of thoughts grow boring enough to skip them until the true conversation begins. Now we also got nodoka and her crazy way of talking (i dont refer to her breakdown, actually i understood her there much better than normally...good we had some kaori-training before, so its less confusing if she twists simple words in crazy stuff)...the combination could get too much in the long run.

alex2011: I give up... for now. I may try another round in few months. One thing is sure, we have very different approach to games. :)

Then I think Im going to pass this game then thanks for the reply
You can always cheat a bit and check the guide for requirements and info about missable scenes. It doesn't really spoil anything. You're required to see most things, but it's also not very hard to get stuck, and unless you have endless patience to find some missing event yourself, the guide will be your friend anyway. And the game is really enjoyable for most part, so it's worth a try.

Ive spent a few hours yesterday playing the game but I like to focus a girl at a time I have like 90 affections points with the cousin and nothing happens the same with the girl that works in the porn shop I call her mother and the game says that she is in the porn shop I go and nothing happens that why I play most of the games with a wt mod but this one doesnt have it and looking at the guide everytime just kills my mood

That's another possibly unexpected thing you're supposed to figure out, you should give attention to all girls, because their events are connected, and it's probably best to spread it evenly. In fact, you eventually have to finish events for all of them to move forward, it's not like many other games, where you can just pick half of NPCs you like and ignore the rest if you don't like them.

I didn't know that, so I then had to spend like a month of in-game time at once exploiting Futaba, and it was almost too much. I'm sorry, I know she is portrayed as this super-nice girl, and I'd be all for Sensei being her supportive friend, I just find fat bodies extremely unappealing and can't get over it.

But still, the game as whole is worth it.

Oh no, Watabe reacting to her alone was worth it and then there's Nodoka's Haikus. Also, you're setting yourself up to miss information that may or may not come up later. There are sometimes puzzles, especially around the time of resets, and they sometimes use information presented in the text. For that reason, skipping is NEVER a good idea.

It's not very hard to get stuck by not paying attention or not raising all girls as evenly as possible, you're right about that. Pay attention to every single detail and you won't get stuck. I'm not stuck right now and I paid attention. In fact, I'm completely caught up with no missed events at all.

That's likely to get you stuck, we are currently on a general route that requires every girl at one point or another to be leveled to a certain extent. Only the purity routes will be suitable for individual girls from what I remember Selebus saying. You likely ran into not having enough affection with a different girl.

That's not unexpected, we are on a general route, general routes in VNs focus on the entire cast. Only individual routes focus on individual girls and those would be the purity routes in this case, which we are a ways out from.

I know alex, thats why i wrote it. I hate to skip unseen text in every game and always make sure its disabled in the settings...but its better then lose the interest to play further. I dont go to visit a girl just to think about the sun or the weather, that kind of useless thoughts sucks the fun out of the game and it becomes more and more.

When updating to the newest version, am I good to just copy the save folder from one version to the next, or are there other files I need to copy? Can I just paste the new version over the old version and overwrite everything?
