it could be FMK dependent. If you kill Kirin or marry her she gets angry.
Your option seems to be Fuck Kirin, and then whether you marry Noriko or kill her might change some things with Noriko.
I went with Fuck Kirin Marry Noriko, Kill Chika, just to make them happy.
It is obvious at this point that Sensei is a sociopath anyway. He doesn't really care, he just wants to use them.

Yeah sure, the game is once again telling us to stop, but I find the font quite interesting. Could have been a normal "stop", but it has weird symbols. Is this just the font or is there perhaps a deeper meaning?
Also the not-Noriko behind her a bit later in the scene (the one going "grrrr") reminds me of the beach event with the shadowy guy.



It should trigger after a Noriko event (The one with dead rats).

If you can't invite Niki, then you probably need to finish Noriko's questline first, since she appears in it.
Would be my explanation at least.



I don't think so. It's not the first time we "had choices". The multiple jumps in the beginning, the "everything is connected" happy event (where you choose Miku's head), the main event with Survive and Grow, where you had to pick Kaori (in hex) to get to the Happy Scene. And of course the Yumi rooftop kiss.
The illusion of choice is quite prevalent here, and seeing the game become sentient, it might "speak" in game terms, such as "not implemented yet".



User2 sent 6000000 Molly points and Sensei, despite having his usual monologue, is not the narrator. Instead of thinking to himself, we see the game talk "directly" to us.
I quote: "And you have the chance to send a jolt through Molly's body [...]"
Also the large amount of "...", which now bear significance after Molly compared it to life's decisions, that you do, but don't really want to (or something to that effect)

Yeah, fair enough, I can't truly say he's worried about them for non-exploitive reasons.


Also the letters from Niki.
At first, I thought the other written stuff ("The first time we touched hands", "Green scarf" and whatever else we got in flashes) were from either Maya/AmIOkay or Ami's mother, but at this point I'm not too sure anymore. What do you guys think?

This thing about "not implemented yet" is definitely illusion of choice, something the game pulls off extremely well. However, I do thing we have reason to worry, not because of that illusion, but because of unrelated happenings in recent updates. This isn't going to just be an 'oh, you get a choice, but it is meaningless and nothing will come of the only valid option' moment, I think it is indeed setting up for something and not something good.

I'm still not convinced this was another 'Yumi kiss' moment.

As for the letters, yeah, I'm with you there. We thought we had something and now it seems less like a sure thing. This is typical for theories here, but we'll see what's going on with these letters eventually.

That is what I meant. The way it was presented, I thought he just imagined doing all that and just jerked off onto her, though. And if that's just a taste of what's to come, then damn.

Finally played the halloween update. While it was gross and horrible, if what he did to Molly was your breaking point with sensei then you're either a hypocrite or you haven't been paying attention.

Here's a quick list of the gross, awful things sensei has done or has been confirmed that he did (including during his old life)

- Being a teacher who has carried on sexual relationships with multiple teenaged, realistically underage students

- had sex with his niece and her best friend

- kissed Yumi against her will

- Led Chika to believe he loves her, progressed through a sexual relationship with her while keeping her under the impression that he is being monogamous

- Pressured Miku into sexual situations when she said no

- During the argument between Maya and Noriko on the beach, it was strongly implied that he had sex with Maya "6 years ago", which would make her, best case scenario, 12 (but almost certainly younger). This would have been prior to everyone being trapped in a loop.



And this is by no means an exhaustive list, not even close. I'm beginning to think the whole "user not available" thing is sensei's delusions to hide from the responsibility of the worst things he does. It would make sense if he were in purgatory or hell and just couldn't deal with actually being responsible for the things he had done.

All that said the realest, most heartbreaking part of that scene was Molly's text afterwards.

The whole scene was harsh and awful and frankly a good piece of writing, but it doesn't significantly change my opinion of sensei or Selebus.

I don't read this at this point because I'm rooting for the protagonist (I do feel horrible for Molly though), it's a psychological horror game and it's fulfilling that description in every sense of the word. Sensei's head is a horrifying place and the way Selebus plays with both his agency and that of the player does a very good job of mirroring what it's like to live with a mental illness. The good times are good, the bad times are super fucking dark.

Small issue: Clobbering screens.rpy makes it so newer versions of the game don't show which girls have new events in the game's progress screens. Might want to try find a hook for your mod's screens so that doesn't happen.

So, AFAIK (and this is something that I've looked into), there's no way around modifying screens.rpy as that's the only way to add something to the sidebar in Ren'Py. And as I'd like to stick to the "just drop the contents of the mod into the game's folder" method that people are used to from all the other Ren'Py mods, I'm kind of stuck.

If you want to use an older version of the mod with a newer version of the game, all you really need to do is insert "textbutton _("Progress") action ShowMenu('progressmod')" at line 380 of screens.rpy (with the proper indentation). That will make it so that the base game's event trackers and progress screen all reflect the newer version's contents. None of the mod's screens will reflect any of that content, however.

I think Sensei will end up killing himself, That is how the story starts after all.
I've actually grown to kind of like Noriko, half the time I read her parts in this update and last I just want to hug her.
Though I feel that way about a lot of the girls here. I've gotten into a real Sensei, Kirin, and Ami hate vibe.

Are you sure about that? Has she revealed how many times the loop has repeated?

The loops have apparently been going on long before the current Sensei popped in. There was someone inhabiting the body before the current MC, and it doesn't seem to have been the original Sensei. Maya shows the fatigue of many, many perceptual years repeating the same year (well, half-year) over and over (and over). She has seen many hosts inhabiting Sensei, and if I remember correctly, most don't last very long.

I'm assuming this is more being tracked because of future updates he has talked about in his discord rather than it actually being fully implemented and tracked now.

can somebody explain something to me? In the bluejay event, why is Makoto acting like that? Is there something going on with her we aren't privy to? What troubles her, or was it just a one-off event that God god made to fuck with us? Why does she kill herself?. Makoto is definitely my 2nd fav girl so it really bothered me, and I'm typically desensitized to this type of stuff. Only scene in the game that actually fucked with me for a while. I don't mind spoilers, if somebody could give me an explanation I would greatly appreciate it.

BREAK THE DAMN FUCKING FILE UP! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU TO POST OVER A 5 DAMN GB FILE! IT'S NOT ALLOWED ON MEGA! EITHER START USING FUCKING PATCHES OR BREAK THE DAMN FILE UP!

Or learn to use Mega properly...

Use the client, and not the browser download, first of all. Then, if you reach the download limit, shut down the client, start a VPN connection (or change it) in order to change your external IP address, relaunch the client and finish the download. You can simply switch to your cell phone data plan to do that (through internet connection sharing) if you don't have a VPN. BTW, you'll get probably way higher transfer rates with the client, and this trick works perfectly with a standard/free Mega account.
And if it's too much of a problem, simply wait 6 hours and you'll get again 5 GB allowed. You can enqueue downloads with the client, they resume properly after restarting the software or after the cooldown time. I would download a 15 GB file from Mega in around 6 minutes, VPN switching time included...

What's seriously the heck with all these bandwidth issues for having so much people complaining about big files and/or begging for compressed versions? Are you living in a third-world country plagued with a civil war and/or an impaired economy? And in this case, I wonder how people would still have electricity, computers/phones, internet access AND still enough time to seek for porn...

Here, in France, the most limited bandwidth I have is my cell phone roaming data plan, which is at 70 GB / month full speed and with only a reduced transfert rate above this limit - and certainly not a size limit... And reduced is even a big word: I'm still able to watch streamed FullHD videos. My landline optical fiber connection is fully unlimited and unrestricted. And a full VPN plan can be as low as around 1€/month - that's still cheaper than a premium Mega account and it allows more things anyway...
