I've been reading this for like 6 hours and got no ero scenes involving mc except one with groping tits with t-shirt on. The most boring porn I have ever read, so far, but I'm trying to not concentrate on one girl only like the game suggests. Who the hell needs all this information about girls repeated over and over without any at least ecchi stuff? I got that the one girl is shy, the second one is also shy, but chubby, the third like sports and so on. Why author keeps feeding me with this shit? And I'm not mentioning all this horror crap, which ruins the mood from time to time. Personally I love horrors, but damn, this is porn with cute girls, not some guro bullshit.

you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what this game is about, it seems. even saying it's a slowburn is an understatement, because though Sensei is incorrigibly horny, this game has very little focus on h scenes. if you dont find the world, the characters, and the points of tension that exists between all of it inherently interesting, it might be best to just walk away from it. there are a lot of h scenes eventually but the vast majority are static or mostly static, and they are laced between multiples dozens of hours of events and exposition.
it doesn't seem that the dev wants this game to be porn with cute girls as the primary or even secondary characteristic of the game. so expecting that moving forward will just be an exercise in futility on your part

early iterations of the game had earlier sex scenes with ayane and ami but the creator went back and edited it for later because most people fell in love with the games story. This is a game with emotional investment which requires more than a quick play. If this pisses you off you are only going to get madder when you finally hit the "puzzles" which are not puzzles and you spend an hour trying to remember an obscure object placed in the corner of the screen that was several hours of game play in the past with no prompting to its importance to answer a vague question that doesn't really connect to the scene in question.
this is a game with a journey, that you occasionally get a scene for...

I am getting pissed at getting black screened in the past couple updates for off screen sex. even if selebus didn't animate it, an image of chika giving a BJ is better than a black screen. just lazy man.
Am I missing a specific location to visit? I have Koi Cafe/Library/Soccer Field/Amis Room for morning, Streets/Shopping Mall/Shrine/Dojo for afternoon, and Bar/Porn Shop/School Dorms at night.
EDIT: It must be a random event or it was changed because after passing through another 10 days and getting *15* God Points, I now have the option for school. Smh, I love this game, but this event hurts.

OR the author misunderstands what he tries to create. I actually like characters in this game and have no problems with a slower building of narrative. I just don't get why the game push me into developing relationship with all girls, instead of giving me opportunity to focus on one or few. From 6 hours I spent reading this, I got very crappy game design when you repeatedly do the same things to get the same scenes, just with different characters (first hang out in rooms, for example). It would be ok for vn style porn game, but I get that author thinks that he is some japanese visual novel creator. Well, he is not, so all that justifying of this pretentiousness has no sense, "Lessons in Love" is just a bad porn game.

i don’t agree with the dev’s perspective on a lot of things and i think the game has a lot of shortcomings in its design, but he has very clearly said in the past that this is not supposed to be a porn game. full stop. so if you can’t accept that then continuing with the game is only gonna frustrate you. 6 hours is barely a fraction into the game and tho it gets better in many ways, the frustrating aspects definitely get intensified. he wants the game to be frustrating.
he’s forcing you to develop relationships with all the girls and do stupid puzzles that have ridiculously arbitrary answers because he has some sort of resentment for the people who play this game. it’s weird behavior but the story and the characters are intriguing enough to make it worth it for me and for many others.
it’s kinda crazy for you to presume that he misunderstands what he’s trying to create rather than you, the consumer of the content, being the one to misunderstand his intent. he wants the game to be frustrating and he wants any porn aspects of it to be far from the focus of what it’s supposed to be about. he’s made this very clear in the past and has forsure followed through on that

Well, then there is still the problem of product positioning. Why should I read all the author have ever said to understand what kind of game I see in front of me? This game from the first glance (and second, and third, I don't buy\download thing after just first look) looks exactly like any normal porn game and if you're still gonna say, that this is the author intent, then fuck this guy, he is just moron who somehow milking money from people who have never heard about utsuge.

the creator is currently making the 'true route' which require all girls, he said he was going to then do single girl routes after that... but I'm not really sure if he can still do that or has changed his mind since that comment.

it’s pretty obvious what this game is about without reading external comments from the author, especially with the revamped version. by the first happy event it’s clear that this is not gonna be a porn game as you’d expect from the preview images. if it took you 6 hours to realize that this isn’t for you then sorry but that’s on you. most people who hate this game realize it’s not for them or doesn’t align with their expectations far sooner than that.
is this the right platform for the game to be available on? that’s debatable. is the game misleading in some ways from the tags and preview images? yeah probably. but once you start the game, especially with the revamped version, the game does not hide at all from what it wants to be.

Phase 1 -- harem route. We are here. By Sel's words, it will never be a true harem, but this part of the game is the closest we're going to get to one. Consider it a subversion of the trope rather than an actual harem.
Phase 2 -- dark phase. We're seeing hints of it, but we're not there yet. Expect heads to roll. Literally. I suspect that will start the next time Winter starts.
Phase 3 -- Purity routes. These are individual one-girl endings that will be added one at a time in a more or less random order. When a girl's route is completed, the game will kick you back to the selection point so you can pick a different girl.
Phase4 -- True ending. Only available after seeing all purity routes.
He has outright stated the true ending is not a harem ending. It will probably be a breaking of the cycle and resolution to the Happy arc (conjecture on my part)
I would guess that each purity route that gets added will be a full update's worth of content, and there will probably be purity routes for all 20 main girls and some of the side girls (Niki, Sara and Karin would make sense for purity routes. Yuki, Maki, and the children less so)
Based on the percentages Sel has given so far, Harem route will probably be up to %40 of the game, and dark route about as much.
It's not a Patreon game anymore.

Not that I like every design decision here either but I accept that I don't have to, I am merely a player and if I dislike the vision of the Dev, I go find another game whose vision is closer to my liking. But I do understand that this all is like, totally just my opinion, man.

I got that you are a big fan of this game, but you should admit that one so-called "happy scene" (you have even your own slang to call stuff in this game, wow) shows nothing. As I already said, I have nothing against creepy elements, and the only thing you can get from this scene is hat there are probably more of them. It's impossible to figure out from this scene that I won't get any plot development in the next 20 hours while also having no porn or having it with disturbing shit. Nobody in their mind does that, it's like an unspoken rule. I get that as a fan you want to protect the developer and see less people like me here, but this game really have problems and I just said about them, that's all.

And my attitude is not "I DISAGRE with game design", I am sure that it is shit. And because the developer won't change anything - why should I shut myself up? I know that my opinion is just my opinion, so what, I also should act like the author of this crap is a great artist and lick his ass like almost everyone does here?

they're literally called happy events by the game. it's not slang. and there is definitely a shit ton of plot development almost constantly. the game never really stagnates. and with the revamp, literally within the first 20 minutes or so you get that dream pseudo rape scene with Ami and that should be a super clear indicator that the porn is going to have very disturbing elements attached to it. if not egregiously disturbing, you will at least be made to feel uncomfortable. if you're going off the original version and the lead up to the first happy event led you to believe that the game would be something else, then yeah i get it. i can forsure see how that's disappointing. but you most likely played the revamp and everything is pretty on the nose in that version.
and you got it wrong. im not tryna protect the dev at all. he's an ass and i hate his approach towards puzzles, player feedback that isn't unmitigated praise, and players sharing the answers for progression. i also really don't like the revamp and think he wasted a lot of time remaking chapter 1 because i think it got rid of too much of the build up of suspense and just dove right into the denpa elements too soon. but that's the thing: that what i think. but im not going to say he's misunderstanding his own creation or that he doesn't know what he's doing because that's just nonsense. the guy knows what he wants to create and is doing so competently and in a timely manner
if you think the game is designed badly to the point that you're not enjoying it then just don't play it lol. you're so confident that the game is shit and yet you're still here for what? no one is telling you to lick his ass, as you put it, and no one is telling you to shut up either. but why waste so much time discussing something that you clearly don't enjoy... i responded to your initial comment to let you know that the points of your frustration with the game are not likely to be alleviated as you progress so you'd be better off giving the game up now, and you're all "hurrr durr the author doesn't know what he's doing, and the game is bad fuck this guy" it's enough to say you don't like it and why and then just move on but you're acting like you're the porn game praetorian or some shit and some authority on how they're supposed to be developed
