So I took some time out of work to check this thread over Christmas, first of all I hope you all had an enjoyable one and enjoyed the festivities (if that's your sort of thing.)

Secondly in relation to the last update, I have learnt a great deal on how an things can get misconstrued if not explained or shown correctly. Once again, that's on me. I will do better with future updates (Which brings me to the next one, I fully believe that this will be received much more positively by the majority.)

Do not take that as a sign as me trying to flip flop or revert on previous story beats, I continue as normal with how the story will be told. Striking a balance is still very important as I don't want anyone to feel excluded by the choices.

I stand by my initial stance that in this game the most important thing to me is the relationship between the MC x FMC. Everything that has happened thus far will play into the bigger story, it will all make sense.

I just hope it doesn't take forever for the relationship between the MC x FMC to stabilize while in the NTR route she's just mindlessly fucking other people every update. We already had to wait forever throughout season 1

I'm sure I speak for many in saying I'm cautiously optimistic about your next update. In reviewing the last 5ish pages of the thread and last page or two of reviews, there seem to be similar recurring complaints, critiques, and suggestions reiterated in various ways for greater clarity. You got no shortage of input about the departure in tone, setting, and narrative structure that came with the start of S2 compared with S1.

You drew in your fans with your portrayal of the chemistry between MC & FMC; I would keep that as the primary focus.

A lot of games that try to provide equal content between multiple routes end up alternating updates between 2 or more "paths" or endings, all of the storylines end up stagnating and story progression in any given path gets significantly slowed down (The Way, Alison: FOTA, Dr. Amana less directly, etc.). Just additional food for thought. Keep it up and happy holidays to all. Stay safe out there.

So, I'm a follower on Patreon. I just wanna clear a few things up to my understanding.

First off Red is NOT working on this title anymore. Surprise I know, but it's true. I believe he has a general time line tree written up and is having his new writers write from point A to point Z. The story has already been decided, all that the writers are doing is telling the journey. Now I'm not saying that I disagree that the current direction wasn't done tastefully, because believe me I think it wasn't. However the writer has said alot of the clarity that is missing is on him and he will try to do better. I think it's fair we give him that opportunity to try and do better.

That being said, for the fans. Please remember he's actually new and trying his best. Yeah I agree it wasn't the best execution but he's willing to hear people out. That's huge. He deserves a chance for that alone. That doesn't mean however that he can change the storylines trajectory. He had a boss of his own. He can't change some aspects of the game, only the execution of them. So a little lead way would help the guy alot.

For the new writers, just know that Red has already set the tone for the storyline. Picking up this project for him was like grabbing a burning branch with your bear hands. You got to know that you're going to get burned my man, I know it sucks but that's just the reality of it. We understand you have a timeliness to follow and due dates to keep. Just try and remember if you allow the general tone of the game to change too much, that burning branch is going to set you on fire.

About the NTR, for now after going back and replaying, slowing down and taking notes, it's clear that this direction was always a possibility coming down the pipeline. However I don't think Red intended to turn MC into a Cuck and FMC into a whore. I think it's mostly about a bit of drama that will get resolved. And won't/can't be a major focus of the game. Remember they need MC alive and well, if they bring his moral down too much or break him to a point where shit no longer matters. Desmond is going to be on the receiving end of punishment from his higher ups. Not something he will ever be able to walk away from. Success versus failure seems to matter alot to him. He's probably aware that if he fails he fucked.

I think all of these people on the boat are about to loose Bella trust anyways. She's pissed about what happened on the island. Now they have to admit who they work for and what they do. Or lie to her which will make her less trusting. Her fear of MC is going to lesson as she figures out he's really the only person on that boat she can trust. And when she figures out that they are still being drugged? Who's giving her drinks now? The MC? Nope. Can't blame him anymore. So I'm willing to give it a few more updates to see how things start to resolve. If we are back into another whole season of grind where MC is bullied and can't do anything while everyone else is getting laid. Yeah I'll drop this title like a bad habit. But I'm actually starting to trust the writer when he says that's not the direction the game is going to go. He said his main focus will be on MC, FMC. For the storyline that actually makes sense. They will still be the main focus even on NTR path, just a bit of drama, she's still going to learn who they are and what they are doing. And if they write that she's okay with what they have done to her and her father. We can call them out on it. I no longer think that's the direction they are heading. Let's wait and see.

Remember she used to have sex with a guy casually when she was in tour with father? Now she has more dicks to choose from. why would she settle for one when all she want is to have sex?

Second, the discomfort and consequent departure and abandonment of the game of players who were here because of the development of the first season that in no way pointed to this new tag. Right now there is expectation on both sides. The arrival of the next update is supposed to clarify this question quite a bit. The question is, will the players who arrive due to ntr compensate for the departure of players who do not like (not to say hate) this genre and who surely are many of those who were before (remember that it was practically a vanilla game)? And I repeat, I am limiting myself to stating a fact, not attacking or defending anything

I guess it's a good thing he's working on a new game. I can look forward to that and can just ignore this game if it goes in a direction i don't like. Hopefully this new game is more of what interests me.

Like I said, people are surely waiting for the next update. Some expecting more of the new and others hoping that the new does not set a trend. With the new update is when I think there will be a reaction in one way or another. Now just expectation

I loved season 1 but unfortunately I didn't like what was done in the season 2 since now. I wanted it to stay only with F&D on the island but now with the boat scenes + the drugs discovery at the end of the S1 that was used by F for D (which personally I hated if I had the possibility to not use it I wouldn't had), I don't think the romance that was slowly starting to come between F&D will come back. Too bad. I will still see how it's goes but not sure I will play it again. Wish the best for the dev.

That's the exact question he cares about. He already showed that he only cares about growing his business and earning more money rather than caring about the success of his game. Otherwise he wouldn't start a new game and let his very well going game into incompetent writers hands (regardless that destroying the original story due to dividing focus&/resources).

On the other hand it's funny to see how such guys starts a project in Patreon asking for support, and mentioning how important it is for them in order to continue and deliver what is being promised about the original idea of the project, and then once they start to earn some money, they start to think that they are the best business man in the whole world and they can grow it to a software/game developer cooperation which can make millions. Ending up loosing focus and resources required to even finish the original project successfully, therefore loosing everything eventually. There are tens of thousands out there as an example.

You can judge me, or tell me that I am wrong but, this is how I see it. Therefore I don't give a fck about his games anymore and I don't think that I'm gonna wait anymore for him. I got 10s of games to play already and may be 5 years later I will just watch a video to see how the game ended.

After following the game since the beginning he could always "Dream Sequence" the game at any point if he gets enough backlash. If ppl complain about the NTR he could have the MC wake up from a dream in the next update. Not sure if anyone remembers the original build with the actual "Suicide meter" for the D. It was the dumbest thing I had ever seen in a game. It was only until ppl complained enough that he finally got rid of that stupid mechanic.

To me it seems like the Dev's original vision for the game was a kind of edginess and dark element to separate it from the others. It seems like when no one accepted his vision he just did whatever would generate bucks like copy and pasting elements from other popular games. Problem is, that doesn't fit with the base theme the original game had. You can't turn a horror movie into a rom-com.

Now the MC got more and more annoying after each update with his decision making and the ridiculous plot devices. So much so I gladly allowed the D to bang the Captain who looks like a complete douche. The fake Jamaican character is terrible as well and his model is overdone. Bad writing. If anyone is the antagonist in this game at this point its the F.

I am really disappointed by the developer. For so long the updates were rare and very short. He told us that some personal problems were the causes of this. Now he started another game and he says : '... but you can expect big and regular updates'. This proves he has no respect at all for the patreons of Lewd Island.
