I've got the same issue as that person on the previous page. I just can't apply makeup. I hit the button, get the page with the gif et al, but not makeup is used and no adjustment happens to the stats. All other ways of adjusting looks do work, though.

As Back already mentioned, it seems like you've been pretty unlucky. There is a random change to find a flyer while walking to and from the city center to the North. Also after day 34 (playing on easiest setting) it will appear twice a week on the message board. Just have a regular look at the board after work for example.Guys, I can't unlock the clinic. Any help? I keep going between the city centre and the north, checking the message board but nothing.

Anyway, it is not correct. I hope to release it as a BETA on the patreon page in the next 2-3 weeks. and a week or so later (depending on the number of bugs etc that are found) here and on TFG. For free, free of charge, no charge etc etc... Like I've always done, so the reference to a certain page with certain words in this thread is out of context. IMO.
As per the above, I hope to release V0.8.7.0 as a BETA in the next 2-3 weeks.
Have a look at your diary page (right side of the screen). There are some options there and if you have selected to never use makeup, it is exactly what you will do, not use it, even when you say to use it. However, in the latest version it is set as default to use it, so it sounds to me like you are using an older version.

First of all, my apologies for not having replied for over a month. RL has been a bad roller-coaster ride the last 1,5 month or so. Lot of shit things happened. A few things are even dragging on into the next month(s) as well. It makes you realize life is short and that you should enjoy it while you can, when you can as before you know it the happy times are replaced by pure and utter shit. Sorry for the language.
Anyway, suffice to say that the last month and a half or so, I've not had the energy, nor the drive to do anything, including coming here and answer questions or doing work on the game.
I've started again though and I'm now working towards releasing it in the next 2-3 weeks as a BETA on my patreon site. Once most bugs are squashed I will release it here and on TFG. Usually about 5-10 days later.
In order to finish the update, I'm going strip some stuff which is half finished and which will take too long to complete. I wont go into detail now about what exactly as I should be able to park it and hopefully get it implemented at a later stage.
I will post an overview of the latest change log next week, so you will be able to see what is coming.
Lastly, I just like to thank you all (read most) for your patience and understanding. It was never my intention to keep you waiting or to keep you hanging.

BurningSun man you do you first and formost. If you have stuff going on in your life we will understand. You don't owe us or anyone else anything. You are making a real well crafted game. I enjoy playing it, you have done a great job and you release it for FREE. Don't let a few people pressure you into anything. I would just ignore people posting like you work for them or something. If you need to step back and take some time off please do. When or if you feel like you are ready then come back.

I agree with this - a good way to turn a fun project into misery is to listen to entitled people who feel that they have the right to spew negativity because your FREE game does not perfectly match their interests, and on their timeline. Ignore the negativity - it will do absolutely nothing but take your energy.
Real life should always be the priority.
With that said, looking forward to the next release.

In some future updates. But it may take some time since burningsun wants to refine Amsterdam first. And I think it takes some.
But Amsterdam itself has a lot to offer

This game has inspired me to try and make my own game, just got to the point where I've finished the character creation, basic levelling system and date/time/energy/sleep mechanic and it taken me an entire day.
Now I know the pain of these devs. I keep asking people to make a game where you can be or become homeless and start from rock bottom and thought fuck it why not give it a go. See how I get on, got to start making NPCs, shops and stuff now, fun. Twine/Sugarcube has given me a headache.

When and where can we try your game? And pls don't just recycle the gifs from this game
There are many places /people that can help to relieve any 'Twine' or 'SugarCube' related headaches.
If you are using the Twine 2 application to develop your project and are willing to forego the Story/Passage Map then you may want to consider switching to a TWEE based compiler (like Tweego) instead. That would allow you to use a more powerful Text Editor of your choice, instead of the Passage editor of the application.

Pretty nice game. Reminds me a bit of "Escort Dreams", which was another fun HTML game but sadly has been abandoned.
Also yes, I like the mid liberal waking up photo so much I made it my avatar. Wish you could change them though, I like it way more than the third one.
I played through the flower shop route first, ended up walking the streets at the end. Second run was library, I've played for 200+ and everything is fine. If you get too much desire you can masturbate during work but you don't get caught.
I like that you can have one night stands in the club, shame you need low dignity for everything else. Grinding the sauna can get boring after a while. For example I wish you could have sex in the showers without needing low dignity, and without needing to be a "whore". Like if you have high desire and you see a guy masturbating you can ask him to fuck, or if a guy asks you instead and you have high desire you can accept.
Everything else is tied behind dignity anyway, but those make more sense because it's outdoors.

I am eagerly awaiting the next update o f this. I think this might be my favorite of these types of games.
