I asked a while back in this thread if the source for newer versions of the game was being uploaded anywhere but didn't get a response. 3.19 seems to be the last publicly available version of it.

so, we REALLY need the game to start saving like the last 10 saves or something on each MC you are running. in addition to MC's that have been turned in to NPCs I'm on dates with, accidental saves over prior slots and such, today my female MC (with a couple unspent perks and a couple million in cash) is now a newly generated male MC with a blood red penis. and I know it is NOT user error. as near as I can tell the only way to prevent these kind of changes is to never turn the game off, even to sleep or go to work as they happen on load of a saved game.

I should mention that this kind of thing has happened so often that I haven't gotten 30 game days in on any MC I've made and I think I'm up to 20 tries now

I haven't encountered any of these issues, but in any game that I play I always keep multiple saves that I rotate in case something happens that I want to rollback from. In this game I usually keep 5 saves per character

yeah, that's my plan going forward, but the point is we shouldn't have to. unfortunately the windows file history tool (that would do this stuff automatically) requires a "separate drive" (a partition MIGHT work, I'll have to check) and it doesn't work with the AppData save at all. I'm going to have to do some research on how to back that up, likely to some kind of cloud storage.

Can anyone help me? I'm looking for 2 particular mods. In first one you can influence NPC's opinion about different sex poses. Second one basically "interview mod" in which you can ask NPC's age and so on.

To translate the game, you need to manually edit over 1500 files. Letters with accent (ê, ê, é, ù, ...) are not taken into account by the games and create bugs. The game have not been made to be translated... at least for the moment!

That's not the only thing you can't do. A lots of limitations for coding a scene/mod ...
Some useless limitations: working hour, Shop opening and closing times, you can't have your own church/store/center,...

Maybe one day the developer will come down to us...

That's not the only thing you can't do. A lots of limitations for coding a scene/mod ...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't LifePlay an open source project? Wouldn't someone just be able to dive into the code and alter these features if they wanted, and wouldn't any improvements be pulled into the main-line project? And if they for some reason weren't pulled, couldn't there be a fork which is updated alongside the main-line LifePlay? The github repo hasn't had any commits since version 3.6 or something, and the last version of the game where the source was available anywhere was 3.19.

Given that, I don't think the game is considered open source anymore. I'm pretty sure it used to say it was in the OP but it doesn't seem to anymore.

A question for modders: Can I use morph variables, tan lines for instance, in the same way I can use stats like fertility or cooking or whatever to trigger scenes or alternate dialog? Since they are in the same .lpcharacter file as the stats.

I've never used it before but there is a getMorphValue() function you can call on an actor. Check the modding docs for info on how to use it.
