tbh if it was me i would start over again. this game had a massive flow, in the controls/the placements of NPCs in the area, and gameplay loop.
For sure. I'd love the ability to actually move your character around freely using WASD. Have actual houses, actual places you can visit, things you can own. (Y'know, better incentives for working) My biggest hope is that eventually, a successor to this game comes along and improves upon the overall gameplay that Lifeplay was lacking in.

If I were to create game similar to Lifeplay, I'd for sure narrow my scope/attention down to creating a small city or town. I always found the broadness of Lifeplay to be meaningless since everything is practically the same (The people, the environment, the buildings).
While I know handcrafted worlds may be time-consuming to make- They'd be a hell of a lot better than these surreal landscapes of unidentifiable cubes trying to mimic buildings.

I'd also try and create a UI that doesn't break the moment you interact with it, have more toggleable options like a "needs" mechanic that gives food an actual point, create better animations, and improve conversations with NPC's so they all don't feel like.. Well NPC's. (Seriously they're like the textbook example of uncanny sometimes in their movements and facial expressions.)

i'd probably lower the amount of customisation in favor of prettiness tbh. sometime the customisation you can do in lifeplay even create dumb stuff, like the penis on female character, its cool but it doesnt register it and it still keep the vagina in the interaction xd (as in you can get vaginal sex despite having a penus)

tho i think lifeplay players will be saved if inzoi is actually a good sim replacer and get some adult mod done not long after the release.

Burnout more than likely. He had been plugging away at this for a long time and it wouldn't surprise me if He got tired of it.
Yet not even letting everyone know? Been about a year and a half since an update now and well over a year since any word. I think some of those (here too) if someone doesn't log out it will every so often say they're on.

Maybe he's nervous about what to say, especially after so long. I would be if I dropped off the face of the earth. I'd rather let them have their privacy if so, they'll return if they want.

Where should I put this folder?
[/QUOTE

Take all the files out of the .rar file and put them in the lifeplay/content/modules folder start game then select the preset to play, or you could replace an existing npc character from in game contacts by going to load preset then select the one from here in the list.

Hello everyone. Just wanted to share an update on some information regarding that.

I'm not gonna lie, like most people here I was curious so my wife popped copious adderall and did some sleuthing. We found a few things which lead us down some forked paths, but here's the solid portion of what we found.

Vin apparently has still been doing work involving software development, but it has nothing to do with the game, more to do with AI generation. He made a Civitai Account in 2023 and has been liking packages from there as recently as 2 months ago.

Also of note, his original github mentioned he was a "FinTech Monkey". Grant Cardone-esque sales jargon which lead us to some Instagram and linkedin accounts of a FinTech and Anime enthusiast named Vin (which I will not share out of respect, and off the slight chance we were wrong), but if we *are* right, certain posts implied he had also taken a wife or companion of some sort, (who understandably may not be "down" with this kind of moonlighting.) Around the time of Vinfamy's disappearance.

I have never met the guy in real life, but with the wild speculations, with everything from illness, FBI Raids and simply just being dead, I had to find some semblance of truth. And I think I found some.

So what does this prove factually?

Vin is *not* fucking dead or in jail. He's working his job, playing with AI, and possibly even getting some splish splash. Is he coming back? Idk. I never met the guy and there's no way in shit I'm straight up messaging his supposed personals. I think it's safe to say whatever his reasoning is, whether good or bad, his happiness isn't in the game - or even game modding anymore. And that's cool. I'm not gonna knock the guy. I get it. I recently got engaged to my HS sweetheart. Sometimes your passions and interests change as a man. I'm honestly happy for him.

Where to go from here? Well I would stop speculating on whether or he comes back or not. All signs point to no and it seems he's all but ghosted other people who have worked on the game closely with him. All open source masters are on github and others working on it and abandoning it. With all due respect, He should always get a credit of some sort, but the game needs a full overhaul and someone else behind it. Period. If people keep picking up the code and tinkering with it once every 3 months; just biding their time, thinking maybe... *just maybe* Vin will return and explain his left-handed coding on the game, then the game will continue to stay in this state.
