Do you mean "sharing" genre? Yeah, if this thing is served right, then I love it too. But out of all the huge set of games, I have met this kink, only in two or three.

Don't agree with you, and even less when you say "MM" group sex is very popular, if I know something is that there are many fetishes people hate (again including myself) MM is probably one of those, that goes with sharing and many others fetishes that involve a 3rd party (unless is mc and 2 girls).
Now you can use whatever term to define those people in which I include myself, but it won't change any time soon and for that, I'm very glad.

To put an example, in this game, there is some kind of "sisterly sharing" (between the mcs daughters) and even just that have some people avoiding the game, I'm not that radical and that is something I tolerate in a game but many others don't even accept that much, so nope.

I make it a point to telegraph dangerous choices and keep you on the rails. Also, there's no mutually exclusive paths, so no need to hold off on any character out of fear of missing out with another.
I really recommend you try it without walkthrough or walk through mod on your first play and trust that I won't try to fuck you over with surprise lockouts/endings.

Somehow this thread fell out of my notifications list... I hadn't stopped by for a while cuz I traveled and maybe missed it in the 100 notifications I got. I only know personally of one incestuous family. The family of a friend of a partner's friend. The kids were very close in age, and when they were young and curious, they mutually experimented. The mother decided not to stigmatize it and it's just something they did when they were younger. It did not get in the way of finding partners later in life. No apparent PTSD about it. I think because there was no power dynamics, the biggest individual danger. That's one thing NR is working hard to avoid--the father/patron is not trying to use his status to corrupt/break the girls.

I think the vast majority of gamers that steer toward the incest genre tend to enjoy it due to the taboo, storytelling elements, and some other subconscious factors that don't point to blatantly wanting it in reality. As I touched on an earlier page, personally I like them cause it's an indulgence and coping mechanism for my own personal circumstances on familial issues. Being adopted, I'm not blood related to my family, but I still embrace as if they were blood, having no such desires for them(except innocent crush on older cousin when I was younger lol). This has made me even more consciously protective of familial bonds, cherishing the healthy ones and trying my best to keep family together. Therefore, incest games tap into my ideal desire for an unbreakable family bond, lovers and friends may disappear, but family will always be there.
