I don't exactly understand why in a sandbox game that's a good thing... (The reduced variety, not the lack of depth, which tbh I never expected from this game in the first place, while I did expect variety)
This is what happens when the developer works almost exclusively on sandbox elements for nearly half of the time the game has been in development - it leads to misconceptions. New players, in particular, don't know LT to be anything other than a sandbox experience with some "insignificant" story happening in the background. While it does contain some elements of thereof, the game is actually meant to be an RPG - it even says on the developer's own website under "What is Lilith's Throne?". In my biased opinion, that means story in the center and everything else second.

But until Inno starts treating the game as such and making progress on that front, most people are just going to keep treating this game for what it is ATM (mostly a sandbox experience) rather than what it is meant to be (an RPG). We're nearing the day we are finally able to move out of Dominion and see more story progression, yet, I know some people are dreading the day because all they care about is more sandbox stuff and anything that takes time away from that particular element, is "time wasted" in their opinion.

It's happened since I first downloaded and the issue has never went away. This bug seems to happen randomly and when it happens, a soft lock will follow suit shortly. The soft lock happens whenever I enter a different location, especially Lily's home. The game also at times lags.
Hmmm, well, lag is pretty much a standard Java feature or it might be a memory leak somewhere. Not much to be done, really. Save early, save often and try giving the game a bit more RAM to work with or test one of the other versions (jar/exe, whichever you're not using atm). Rare and random is exactly the kind of issue a dev can waste half a day on for no result so it's not terribly likely to be addressed anytime soon.

To be honest I'd prefer if Innoxia held back on the story for longer and focused on improving sex. It's the main thing in the game and yet it's still lacking so bad, every part of it feels like a placeholder. Sandbox is what makes LT so fun, but it needs improving.

Currently, my biggest gripe with the game is that the save function is fairly buggy. It would at times not let me save my progress for no reason at all. I've reset the game multiple times because of it and I've even ran into soft locks too. Can these issues get fixed please?

Can you post a screen capture of the game when you first know there is a problem with a save, please?

How would that be possible in a text based game? Plus the issue is Frequent and random. I would have to do a small recording to show proof of it.
No just keep things simple. We just need to see what you see on your computer's screen. :)

Example, for a screen cap I usually just hit the "Print Screen|Sys Rq" on my keyboard, and then "Paste" that into whatever program you use to view/edit basic pictures (I happen to use Irfanview); crop off anything in the pic that is outside the game screen, and save it as .gif or .jpg or a .png file. I'm quite sure you don't need any special software or skills.

This is what I just got, now:
ScreenCap.png

The 2 pics we need happen ...
1) immediately after you save the game (then click your "Print Screen|Sys Rq" key and create this picture file); and
2) immediately when you realise that the save didn't work (click your "Print Screen|Sys Rq" key and create another picture file).

Just ask if you need more info!

Do you have examples where it's lacking? Ideas on how to improve it? I mean, it's easy to say "it's bad" and it may be true, but it doesn't help any. Saying why it's bad and/or offering suggestions to improve is constructive feedback and always appreciated.

Wake me up when the combat and skill trees are actually fun. Right now you're either too strong, or too weak and for the most part none of the skill trees matter all that much.

Are you running an older version? If so, there was a "fun" "quirk" where it wouldn't let you save whenever a room has a "non-standard" description. So, like, if you were to sleep in your room the game would swap from the usual room description to the post-sleep description and disable saving. You'd have to leave the room and go back in in order to save. I'm not sure when that was fixed, but I think it was when quickload/quicksave was added.

If you're on the latest version, that's kinda weird. I haven't run into that issue personally, but that doesn't mean much (I'm a filthy nerd, so whenever I want to play I build it from source). If you're using the Windows x32/x64 packages, it might be worth installing and using the JAR version instead just to rule out the Java runtime itself.

I can tell you don't mean to be a smartass or anything so trust me when I say that the problem is not a lack of suggestions. The Discord server is full of ideas, most bad but some good, on how to improve sex in the game. It mostly revolves around making it so character traits, fetishes and personalities change the flow of sex. Getting more specific scenarios would also be great (mind break, mind control, domination loss, hidden sex...). Innoxia won't do that straight away, it seems that if those things are even included in the game they'll come slowly and through multiple updates, which is disappointing to say the least. It's a lot of work to do, sure, it takes time, I know, but there's no effort being made towards that goal currently.

I've been following this game for well over a year now. I wouldn't assume others playtime or experience based on one sentence they write.
To clear it up, what i wrote about not minding lack of depth wasn't about this specific game. It is a thing I apply to pretty much all porn games. Mainly because, I've never seen a single h-game that builds ,,depth" into it's gameplay. Hell it's hard to find a AAA game with it, and those have teams of 50+ people working on them with millions of dollars. This game has one dev and a patreon money. I'm fully aware this game is intended to be an RPG, but if any people here played other H games, they'd know that, relatively, this one has WAY more sandbox elements.

I do think that Inno needs to move on with the story, instead of adding every little feature, as those can always be added later once the game has a better established base to build upon. There is soo many features that seem excessive.

also would like to note, that many pages ago I already wrote my opinions on her decision to stop supporting the companion system (I came to the conclusion that while it was fairly simple system on paper, it must have been too tedious to code), so my comment about variety was more a general statement rather than specifically about the companion system itself. I'm fine with it being removed if other areas improve.

Edit: before someone says I contradicted myself: I like variety in the game but in my eyes small features that add nothing to the game with little rp potential, aren't that. That's why I (while understanding Inno's decision) will miss the companion stuff. It didn't have too much "depth" but it did have potential

Look, I haven't really been following the game all that much since I lost interest in it quite a ways back, so generally my understanding of the game's general state of health is based almost entirely on hearsay. I have at times skimmed through comments on some updates over the last couple years or so, played a mod of it a few times here and there, so I may have the wrong idea since there seems to be conflicting attitudes from others I've had conversations with about it.

But I think that misses the point, or at least mine (which admittedly I didn't really make clear). Loosing the companion system, while unfortunate, isn't really the reason that news struck me the way it did. A lot of the complaints I've heard is of Innoxia's hilariously consistent delays, coupled with the sheer volume of bland yet bug-riddled content, and now content is being axed, all the while without hiring help which has been suggested since as far back as when I last played in fact. If any of that is true, then I kind of feel like this is not really great news. Maybe I'm wrong, but we'll see I guess. Not hating on the dev or anything, but if they haven't reach out yet for help at all and still haven't been able to hit a target release date even once, then I'd at least be a little concerned. Short-term, removing the companion system might be a smart move, it's just that that's hardly the biggest or most long-term of critiques that seem to be routinely brought up. Games like this being done solo like that are a real sketchy shot in the dark anyways. Not being able or willing to recognize the need to tackle something this big in bigger numbers than one is one of the reasons some seem to be less than confident in LT's future.

Again, a lot of this is based on pretty much little better than mere he-said-she-said and that rarely is that the whole story. Hell, there's certainly no shortage of shining examples of that truth in today's world. Just thought I'd toss in my side of it, how shaky it probably is. Two cents and all that.
No, you are entirely correct, the biggest issue is in fact the inability to hit a target date, which Innoxia consistently blames on the content being worked on at the time of the delay in question. First it was the companion system, then the Rat Warrens. I've said this outright on the blog and I have no problem saying it here, I do believe the companion system was not the last thing we will see cut. The most likely candidate, even in its new state as of the latest post, is the Rat Warrens. It isn't that Innoxia can't hit said targets, it's that Innoxia openly gives those targets even though they aren't meant to be an actual target, just motivation. This is one of the few games where I can actually see potential abandonment as opposed to being blindsided by abandonment being announced out of nowhere.

You mean exactly what the toggle does?
Simply making that the only way it works was on the table, but it'd be confusing for new players who weren't there for the announcement and would find an inconsistent mechanic that got inexplicably abandoned around the time they leave Dominion. So instead the older player who are assumed to have that context can go and enable their limited companion support if they can't live without.
Actually, based on what Innoxia said about it when announcing the discontinuation of support, the toggle disables companions completely by default, as it defaults to off, but allows the player to enable them again through that toggle to the state it was in at the time it was last updated.

There is an issue where the save notification (the big green text) stops showing up after awhile, it does still save (as long as saving is permitted; i.e. not in the middle of combat or sex) - it also still shows up in the log on the lower right (although it doesn't automatically scroll sometimes like it should).

Having said that, if you're on Windows 10 and - for some reason - have the game running in \Program Files or \Program Files (x86) there could be a permissions issue since you need to have administrative access to write to those folders (in which case you'd need to always run it as administrator). (Since you say it works and then doesn't I'm going to assume it's not this scenario.)

For what it's worth, Java has horrible memory management and long play sessions always get laggy for me too. If you have a lot of memory you can make the time before it becomes too laggy to play come a little later by specifying at launch how much memory Java should use.

java -Xmx1024m LilithsThrone.jar

Would allocate 1GB RAM for the specified JAR.

This probably isn't all that useful, but with regards to the save 'issues' I do remember there being a pretty long list of situations where the game intentionally disabled saving. I haven't actually played the game in a really long time, so that might have changed, but I just thought it might be worth mentioning.

Hey dude, not sure if this is your problem, but if you're overwriting a slot that already has a save in it, you need to click the save button twice (basically to confirm you want to overwrite). Maybe this will help?

Does anyone know what happened to Innoxia's patreon page, i try to visit and i get a 404 error and a search results doesn't show it exists anymore.

.. Really starting to lose confidence in patreon, they have knocked down several authors lately.

After the patch, a big game breaker came in. After defeating Brax or lying, you get stuck at the exit of the police station.
Yes, an unfortunate side effect of some last minute renovations to the cop station. Just opening and closing the debug menu usually gets you out of such situations (check the readme on how to do that).
