Innio's blog foreshadows the next location after folio fields as being undecided atm, with "the desert, jungle, or sea" being all possible.
What setting would you most like to see the game go too next?

The masochist in me hopes it's "the sea" because there's only two ocean morphs atm, which would necessitate adding new morphs, which means months of drawn out dev time:p
i'd prefer she just continued the story or fixed the game's many issues instead of adding yet another new location that will end up empty for months.

Adding a new area would be continuing the story. New area = new elder lilin.

Of course having said that, we all know that Inno will become distracted with new morphs to populate the area, side projects that add nothing to the game, and endless apologies and excuses for why the main story hasn't actually been worked on.

Plus all the filler content would be better if it could branch into multiple areas. Having all the locations would allow for far more interesting filler content.

Status update

Goals for 4.4 and beyond

Hello once again,

As I previously mentioned a couple of times, I wanted to make this post to give you my detailed plan for the next few versions ahead. I'm currently planning on sticking to the usual release pattern for the next few updates, meaning that the next release will be v0.4.3.5 (preview release), then v0.4.4 (public release), then v0.4.4.5 (preview), etc.

Goals for v0.4.3.5
For this next preview release, I'm going to be focusing on a few things:
- Bug fixes. There are quite a few minor bugs in this latest version, so I'm going to make sure that as many have been fixed as possible for the next update.
- Merging github pull requests. There are many PRs which have been waiting to be merged for quite some time, and so I'll work my way through as many of these as I can.
- Adding AceXP's content contributions. Some of AceXP's content was added into v0.4.3.1, but there's still several more additions to be included.
- Adding generic NPC encounters to Elis. I want to get generic NPC attackers added to the alleyways of Elis, giving you a source of persistent, randomly-generated NPCs without needing to go back to Dominion.

I'm aiming to get this preview released at the start of next week, hopefully on Monday (31st) or Tuesday (1st).

Goals for v0.4.4
For the next public release, I want to be focusing on adding the next stage of the main quest, as well as some more content for Elis:
- Main quest content. I'll get the main quest progressed past the town of Thmyscra, and into the next stage.
- Elis content. I'll add content for the 'The Crossed Blades' tavern in the north of Elis, as well as for the bank (and I'll likely add an associated bank in Dominion at the same time).
- Bug fixes. There will undoubtedly be more bugs to fix, so this will be part of this version as well.

This version will likely take a little longer than v0.4.3.5, due to the content additions for the main quest and Elis areas. It will therefore likely take me over a week to get this released after v0.4.3.5 is out; I'll give an expected release date in the preview's associated update post.

Goals for v0.4.5+
After these next two updates, I'll be continuing to focus on adding all of the content for Elis, as well as for the main quest. (Very minor spoilers!) I have four more major sections planned for the main quest before Lunette's content is resolved, so I'll try to add one of these sections in each of the next four public updates (0.4.5, .6, .7, and .8). After that, I'll flesh out the Foloi Fields and Elis content a little more, before moving on to the next part of the main quest, which will be located in a new area of the world map (which will be either the desert, jungle, or sea).

Thank you all so much once again for your support and interest in Lilith's Throne. I'll do my best to get updates to the game out in a more timely fashion than was the case towards the latter half of last year. My next post will likely be the preview update post, but if it's looking like that version might be delayed, then I'll make a post over the weekend to let you know. See you again soon!

Why isn't that a v0.4.2.9.5
It lacks any content
Because shes getting antsy. She is accelerating versions to mask the lack of progress.
Realistically we are still at v04.0.1, she has only JUST gotten around to polishing 4.0 release.
We will be at v5.0 by Easter and nothing substantial will be added.

She keeps stealing adding modder code and calling it a week.
She knows she a flake, and her zealots are getting restless.

Last year we got two meaningful content updates.

I think anyone expecting any more than that at this point might not being paying attention to the game's history.

I really, REALLY want Ferals to finally be added and i hope one of the modders from the community will see to it because at this point i'm slowly losing my faith in Inno to do it herself.

Tbh I'd be fine getting less frequent "updates". I just hate the false hope seeing the game on "Latest Updates"

I'd love to give this game another shot if there were a combat overhaul. Every time I see this game bumped, I breathlessly check the notes for that, but alas..

TFgames forum. While hardly damning, there are clear... implications.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
That's pretty crappy... in fact this whole situation is.

Inno would benefit from encouraging her community to take a more proactive role on modding - it keeps the game alive and takes some of the responsibility off her shoulders so she can work on something else (like Ace stated). She doesn't have to of course, just like modders don't have to help her out either, as neither signed a contract with each other, but it would be nice a nice gesture from her part and it could attract new players and potential modders to the fold.

She makes 7k a month. Even if Sub. Star took half as taxes, the remaining sum is more than enough for her to be financially comfortable, with a little extra to invest forward **1. "As a reward for helping me out, the top 3 contributors this month are getting 100/250/500$ respectively. Thanks guys!" Or something like that. She doesn't have to deal with the hassle of hiring and managing a team, while still getting things done because people feel motivated to help. Win-win.

**1 -People would be less inclined to call her greedy and a "milker" too, if they saw her investing a portion of the money towards the game's future. Something more than just paying her bills and the occasional commission for a character portrait. Because, regardless of our definition of donation/investment, fact is she's making money BECAUSE of the game. Compensating modders is, at this point in time, an investment towards the game's future.

While I would not assume malice, sloth is definitely an issue.
I do not wish to put words in Inno's "Dev Team's" mouths...
But each release is more modder code, and less her code.

Money would only create dramabombs.
Still unfair she steals their time, effort, and passion; only to reimburse them with excuses, delays, and placeholders.

Drama usually hinges on the individual in question and circumstances, not so much the money (though it can be a factor too).

While the modding community has been amazing so far, you can't avoid the occasional bad apple. What's stopping an active but "bad" modder from coming along one day and clashing with Inno, stating a good chunk of the code can be attributed to them; their work/time/skill invested into it? Or a "good" modder turning sour towards the developer and asking her to strip all of their work from the game? Would Inno even do it? If she says "no" (because ownership of content, after permission is given, is transferred to her) it would still lead to drama.

There's not a whole lot a modder can do to "hurt" the game from a legal stand point, but it would still leave a bad rep. And negativity spreads like wildfire, sometimes with little to no context. So yes, creating an incentive (and depending too much on modders) to advance your project comes with risks of its own, not too dissimilar from those that come with hiring a team. The difference is, with modders, the ball is on Inno's court.
