Also the more active NPCs you have the slower your game will become. The optimisation of this game is sh*t.

I use 17. 8 in office in 2 shifts, 8 in milk room also in 2 shifts and one personal "companion".
When I go to capture random succubi I don't get overboard, game have an annoying tendency to simply delete all of your slaves at some point. So I limit myself at max 5-6 then I sell them, and use different save slots after each capture. I know for sure if I get around 10 captives I end up with no slaves. So I guess the soft cap is ... 25? Or something like that.

It's quiet high - in my latest save I have 16 "cows", 8 security, 8 office girls, 4 cooks, 4 waitresses, 8 "Spa" personal, around 10 maids, 5 test subjects for the aunty, 1 lab help, 4 librarians and lastly 4 bedroom maidens ... you do the math^^
I have also a lot of room for some more - still a couple empty rooms left.
Also 6*4 slaves inside the dungeon, chained up for max obedience - when they reach 100 I sell them for max profit ^^
Oh, do guests count too? I have 8 of my children running inside the mansion too ...
But one I can say for sure, the lag is real by now ... therefore better not to go overboard like me with your house quests if you want a more "fluid" game experience

I did something similar too man, though I do not have as quite as many did you, did give them all the proper equipment as well? Yeah, fully customized here too. Each one of the girls is customized in colors (to match their hair color ^^) ... the overall outfits (sets / gear) are customized to their jobs. The "heaviest" gear is on my security gals and the least gear on my spa girls - for obvious reasons
About the lag, it takes a good second or so to catch up with my inputs - it's definitive way slower than at the game start where the game reacted almost instantly (in movement, inventory stuff or menus) ... the worst "lag" is on the "full-hour" switch, this can take a few seconds to happen. But overall - I can still play it
Are the imp transformations no longer available ever since the demon transformation got moved to story content?
Reading some of these developments; I'm laughing my ass off that a mod originally made just to allow underage characters has largely surpassed the original to the point that Inno is going to start using some of the features from it.
It really just drives home how much further along this game could have been if someone else was running the show.

I had never any issues with "unwanted" visitors or something like that, therefore I'm confident to say - right now their are just for "show" - but my guess, hopefully Innoxia has something in mind in the future with this job-position (arcane storm visitors?).
As far as I can tell, the Security job is just for show. You can set one to guard and answer the door, instead of Rose, but that is all I have seen.
It could just be my dumb luck, but I haven't encountered any events or scenes where someone attacks the mansion or invades the home and you end up in a fight/sex scene involving them.
are there scripted interesting sex scenes there or just the basic fucking with all the options you can do normally in consensual sex? if all instances of sex are the same as the buttons you can press during sex then that's quite boring.

Any "interesting" scenes as you define it are minor and NPC locked.
Named NPCs generally have one sliver of unique sex content.
They also bleed between NPC custom content and generic encounters.
Bad ends, Special Losses, and Named NPCs have "interesting" content... but its still packaged with the generic.

Can it be done? Maybe. The quick and dirty way would be adding descriptions in the source code to mention blood. The framework for custom sex moves is there so one could implement "tamer" actions like punching and pining down limbs to the ground with your blade. I'd have to look into that.
For dismemberment that may require some source code fiddling.
I was curious so I checked and apparently Innoxia makes $6,202/month or $74,424/year from SubscribeStar alone. Now I'm not saying that it's intentional delays...

I responded to someones post (back in January) about how toxic it was here towards Inno and the game and when I looked at the SubscribeStar page, she was earning about $7,500 a month.
Unless there are some hidden tiers on on the SubscribeStar page, it would appear that Inno has taken a bit of a pay cut since January.

I think in Inno's case, she's one of the few developers that isn't intentionally milking from subs. The key word there is intentionally. She seems to have legitimate mental health issues, and coupled with her inability to stay on target unless supervised, it ends up with her getting nothing done.
That said, yea, it's not an excuse when you're living on 75k a year to do nothing, while people fund you sitting in bed crying until 5PM because you're depressed. She should use some of those funds to get mental help, and some to hire a random kid in Bangladesh to code for her.

The first step is classes of some type, the second is observing her code to figure out how not to do things, and the third is to start your own project. Maybe the competition will light a fire under her ass.
