For someone who isnt involved in the development process anymore I have to say you have an insane amount of post in this thread. I would never stop someone from posting their opinion in a forum, but would it be wrong to point out that all this drama just seems to be not very healthy?The weirdest thing of all is that I read you... and I completely understand your plight, Vlad. And I even admire your passion in the *actual* uphill battle your game vision is.
I guess that's the reason because even after you and Kuja having fucked me over, I tried to have some kind of civilized relationship with you. And then exploded, and then reconciled, and then exploded again.
And the reasons for those changes of mind is that is very difficult to see and experience every single day the consecuences of Kuja getting rid of me, after all that work and trust. And him not wanting to sign a freaking industry standard contract, when I needed some peace of mind, was the final drop. Being treated as a guy to be pitied, when I'm actually the main reason you have what you have.
So, my problem with you guys is not that you're not doing anything, or if you'll eventually produce a game or not. It's the fact that you left basic ethics at the doorstep.
The funniest thing is that if you ever shown any kind of remorse and admitted maybe, just fucking maybe, you did wrong in getting rid of someone as me, then you would have had my help in your project alongside with my current one.
But no, every single suggestion or warning about the direction you were going to take was met with paternalism, even though time demonstrated I was right.
Anyway, the damage is already done. I eventually needed to make another game and it seems it's coming along nicely. I guess people will draw from that their own conclusions.
Now, please try to find a way to do what you plan, doing smaller regular updates, so all the grief you two caused me has some meaning at the end. Fucking please...
I get that you want to get back at the current LOK management because of the past drama, but wouldnt it be best to do that by releasing a very awesome game made by yourself? It just seems to be that your time is spent better than lurking in the LOK thread, playing the victim and collecting brownie points from internet strangers, some of them loudly shouting while not having a single dollar in the race...(having read arguments from both sides of the drama, I guess the truth lies somewhere in the middle)
And before all the circle-jerk bros here get at me, I am a huge fan of the abadoned LOK project, I am really looking forward to your new project and even though I am a still currently a very low LOK rebirth backer (was more in the past) I cant put it in words how highly disappointed I am about the slow progress of the rebirth game (still hanging on with minimum invest because I guess hope dies last...the next update decides the fate of my future backing).
At the moment I still value the old LOK game more than the current rebirth project, but this goes without saying because there isnt really much to compare to...
