Not sure if I can help you with your Evelyn problem. The walk through linked in the OP should have all the info you need. If the option to confess never showed up you messed something up earlier. Did you stop Thaddeus from fooling around with her?

Is anyone else unable to load .21 saves? When I go to load a save, it just makes the save menu disappear.
I don't mind waiting until the next update, of course. Just wanted to flag it for Belle's benefit.

Got this on the Mac version. Do you want me to try to replicate the problem on Windows?
I suspected it was Mac, because that's the only platform I've heard anyone (one person, actually) report this problem on before. I have absolutely no idea what could be the problem, but I suspect it might be some kind of bug in Ren'py itself. If it's not too much trouble for you, I'd appreciate hearing if your saves load on Windows. At the very least it'll let us pinpoint whether or not it's the act of saving in 0.21 or the act of loading a 0.21 save in 0.22 that is causing the problem, which would be helpful to know.

There is another event that I haven't seen anyone mention, but it only happens very early in the game, and only once. It's not worth hunting down, but it does make things more interesting in the early parts of the story, giving a couple of central characters more agency.

Sadly, I have no way of testing the game on Mac. I have to rely on Ren'py's compiler to do its job properly. Considering that the update seems to run properly on Windows, it does look like a bug in the engine, not the game. I can only hope it doesn't pop up again. I'd rather not update the Ren'py version since that could completely break the game.

This really bothers me, and it's incredibly frustrating that I apparently can't do anything about it on my own. We'll just have to cross our fingers that it doesn't happen again in the next version. If it does, I'm going to have to look into more drastic solutions.
I just recently started this one, thanks to the recommendation of a few friends, and I am pretty glad I did. The addition of the map was nice, though I would have to suggest giving us access to the rest of the UI from the map screen, such as seeing what time/day it is, and being able to see our stats, hints, etc. It kind of sucks to have to close the map to see that stuff, and then go back to the map.
I am a bit concerned about taking too long to do things though... May have to start over once the arrival of the princess is implemented.
