Yo I love this game, but Akabur's writing is far above everything else in here. I legit have an hard time fapping while playing his games because every so often I laugh so hard my boner is gone.
Again, good writing here no doubt, but comparing it (or any porn game) to Akabur is just unfair.
Akabur is a master of comedic timing, and his games are typically straight up comedies as well. LLtP isn't a comedy, but features comedic characters and situations in between the other stuff. I admire Akabur's use of brevity, among other things, and I'm not alone among adult game creators in doing so. However, where many other creators try to copy his style, I've deliberately avoided doing that. I don't want to compete against him, but would rather forge my own path within the genre. This is why the protagonist in this game isn't wisecracking all the time, for example. If he did, it would be far too easy to slip into Akabur mode.
Comparing me to Akabur in the first place is flattering, even if I lose by default, but I'm trying hard to not be comparable to him at all.
More Invade Mind is coming in 0.6, and this time it's a large secret.

You've put a lot of thought into it, and I can see why you would avoid it. Unlike other writing stylles, I belive Akabur already conquered character based comedy. Only MITY I feel has done a good job copying his style, but even so, he's far from reaching the master himself.
Hell, personally I don't like Akabur's drawing and his gameplay is mediocre at best. And yet Princess Trainer is easily my favorite lewd game, and between my favorite games period.
Yours is the only 3D game I can stand though, so you must be doing something good too

Worth try it. Not best game, but really fun until end (endings are for my tastes too stupid, but definitely someone will love them too).
It's very charming by attention to tiny and completely non-hentai related detail. Scenes like drinking with Snaky evil-professor are very pleasant to see among overall stupid grind and make it far less offending.
That's also Belle strong side - tiny detail that never should be hentai related.
This also why VN are played - a lot of consumers will not like something like Honey Select, with simple sex without any reason or interaction.
This update is really starting to come together now. I've managed to get so much writing done this last week, and it's awesome to see it all in action. For once, I feel like I'm ahead of schedule.

No, I do this in my free time, but it's also pretty much all of my free time. I check in on discussions related to the project as often as I can, which often includes during regular work hours at my day job if I have a few minutes to spare. Making myself available to fans and patrons is a top priority for me.
I check in regardless of whether or not I'm rendering, but I obviously have more time available when a render is running since there's little else I can do.
