Vica is the prettiest, followed by Ully. Then I like Taina, Cat, and Lori in no particular order. It's so difficult to decide. lol
Yeah, it's hard to decide which girl you like more than others. I just said those 2 because they were the last girls I talked too. I do like Taina and Lori, everyone else who I didn't talk about is neutral so far.

My concern is game play not realism. After all, the game posits individualized mutations. But I can play that game if you like.

Realistically, raiding redistributes resources rather than creating them. This means raiding can be very lucrative – for a while. There's a reason the large raiding cultures of Earth either (a) had access to fast effective transportation linking them to vast potential raiding area (Vikings, Mediterranean piracy), (b) were expansionist and stopped raiding once expansion stopped (Huns, Mongols, Spain), or (c) were based around areas with high concentration of wealth transportation (Caribbean piracy). One needs an influx of wealth at least as large as the wealth being removed or raids become progressively less valuable.

The city has none of these conditions. Realistically therefore, continued raids should only be able to pull in annually the amount of wealth created annually in the reachable target area. Since that target area is termed wasteland and is presented as less rich than the city, the amount per square mile is low.

Realistically, raiding annual income should be limited to some fraction of annual income inside the city and if that amount is exceeded, should drive down the annual income in the raided territories until there is effectively nothing to raid because everyone is captured or fled.
The one culture you're missing that absolutely lived off the slaves and booty they captured was Rome. In one sense they were the great 'pirates' of the Classic world. And yes, they were expansionist as can be.

Economies built on slaves expand or get swallowed by someone else expanding.

Rome is also a classic example of raiding evolving into the more effective tribute / tax system. If you are strong enough to continually raid an area, it is more efficient for both parties to agree to tribute.

Well just like every proper government i'm operating in a deficit.

Kinda wish the economic side was easier to understand so as to not run into this issue but for some reaons my citizens are always being a drain on production with no clear way to fix this. I've tried drafting all the citizens and killing them off via raiding to no luck.

You can try to restart (maybe you have a bug from first versions). If it will not help, send me your save.
Here is the error I'm getting.

I have also attached my last save
