I am starting to figure things out. But the lack of an early goal doesn't help. Like what am I aiming for to begin with...
I have fumbled around, getting to understand things. Though have to say that they make the house messy VERY QUICKLY that it feels like you can never keep the house clean at the least, should I even be bothering with anything but the Loungeroom and Bedroom? Should I even be cleaning the Kitchen and Bathroom at the start?
EDIT::
On that note, I updated to the most recent just now, thought I was but I was still on 01 not 03...
Anyway, Started a new game so I could see if I can do anything different to last time, and I noticed that I can't clean the bathroom while Gina is in there. Like the button is missing compleatly...
Basically, you want to keep talking to everyone you can using two topics they like and one topic that is not on their banlist but you need them to have to move on to their next AT. For example, if you're trying to work on Diane, you could buy two fitness magazines because she likes cheap gifts and then one topic tagged social media. This gets you lots of points you need to progress with her. However, you'll make slow progress at first because you have low skills. When you don't have people to talk to, you want to grind up your skills like trivia, fitness, health and spend a lot of time watching porn on the computer. Work once a day to afford stuff.
Personal tip? Talk to Becky early on even though there's a limit to how much you can do with her thanks to her first AT require Fashion, an annoying skill you can't get easily early on. She pretty much only appears once or twice a day throughout the entire game. When you're watching porn, keep the topics you get from doing so to use on the neighbor, Charlie. To talk to Charlie, you need to raise your appearance. Take a shower and raise a few basic skills and you should be able to talk to her.
I'm recommending you talk to people this much over focusing on other things because the three skills you need raised to level the fastest all come from successful conversation. Those are Demonstration, Communication and Concentration.
Cleaning early on is a decent way to get topics Diane likes without spending money. It also keeps her from getting mad at you. Cleaning the bathroom while Gina is in there is also helpful, but the bathroom has to be fairly dirty to do so.
