You're still supporting the project. Because that's your motivation to donate. If you sign up for a subscription to World of Warcraft, some of the money you're paying to Blizzard is going to back into World of Warcraft. But not all of it. It's also funding things like Diablo Immortals, which you may have zero interest in. But regardless of what Blizzard is using the money for, what you're paying for is World of Warcraft. That's your game, that's what you want to see continue. If WOW gets cancelled, they stop getting your money. If WOW starts to suck in your opinion, they stop getting your money.
Changed your mind about what? You paid because of the project. Your mindset going in was "I like this project. I want this project. I'm going to pay money to support this project." If the project changes goes away, you stop paying. That's not changing your mind. You still like that project. You still want that project. It's just not being offered anymore. It's transactional relationship. The first party provides the content, the second party provides the funding. If the first party fails to hold up their end, the second party is going to do the same.
Nobody is coming to this forum, looking at a pornographic video game, and thinking to themselves "hey, the guy that makes this porn game is surely a super awesome person that I want to give money to so he can do whatever he wants." No one is doing that. And we both know it. People are coming here, they're looking at a game and thinking "this is an awesome game, and I want to support it."

My mindset was really that if you are a patreon you are supporting a developer and not the project, sure you pay for the project you want, but he might do 3 other projects with that money.
BUT you changed my mind.
Now please, stop attacking because someone had a different mindset. Not everybody thinks the same way (doesn't make them right).

Reading the dev's last post I would say that this game is officially dead. I don't know what issues he has but for me it is clearly that he hates or to put it mildly he doesn't like his own game/work any more for unknown reasons. And of course when you are working at something that you don't like especially when it comes to such kind of "jobs" you feel pressure, stress and like hitting a wall.
His initial idea, story and characters are awesome and we loved this game for that. As for the writing the only problems could be the coding (which he improved at the last update) and the occasionally bad English (which is not important anyway).
As for the content, yes there are some issues which I present below but they could be fixed easily with minimal reworking.
1) The name of the game is Love and Submission. The two parts are unbalanced. The game needs more submission paths and more content related to them . It doesn't need any rework here, just add content and paths. Unfortunately the dev's intentions judging and from the last update could be the opposite. He didn't add any sub content and more importantly he didn't progress with the psychology/drugs story line which is connected with these paths and it is supposed to be done at v0.08 (actually it should be done even earlier to be connected with the sub paths) . She even censored/removed some dialogues/parts of this topic. The pills are still inside the garbage bin after so many in-game days...
2) There are many characters with different paths on each of them. For now he must focus to maximum 5 main characters and progress their paths equally. Okay maybe their sub paths could fall a little behind but just a little (for example 1 update back). Love and Sub paths for Carol, Amy and Becky is a must and maybe the intertwined path of Carol-Amy. You can add and 2-3 paths for the other characters and it's already more than enough paths to work to. Voyeur paths are not needed and I'm not saying it because I don't like NTR but because the other paths are already enough. Now if you want so bad to include such a path then do it only for one chosen character though I don't recommended it.
3) The Carol's love path is so unbalanced compared to the others. She had sex with the MC too soon when other important paths are left miles behind. This path definitely needs reworking and to progress slower. Even the MC kissing her on the mouth just from the first day is too much. Also as I said before a submission path for her is a must connected to father's psychology/drugs story-line.
4) Yeah I know about patreon rules but for that purpose is the keywords. You don't have to censored the story when you can censored just a few words. For example in "Chapter 7: Identity" there is not a single reference or discussion of Amy's healing abilities and her identity. This doesn't make any sense except if you intended to strip out her relationship with the MC from the story.
In other words the problem here is that the dev (apart from any other issues he has) is in conflict with the initial idea and concept of his own game. It is sad because it was one of my top 5 favorites games here and it could actually be my favorite if he continue developing this game as initially intended and without abandoned it.

OK, so pills dont matter until now (0.8). Then Love content priority + lack of interest.
Guess interest might tie to code rework, as he got more skilled so understand better.
Still, doing so until now is heavy on time and investment.
This being one of the main pitfall to staring Devs. Same goes to images even if rare, with either sudden difference or redo, also a potential heavy task.

The story in this game is fantastic! I've played alot of porn games, and more often than not, I find myself holding the skip button trying to get to the sex. I would read enough to understand which choices to make, but overall I didn't care about the lazy story or the backgrounds of any of the characters. This game however, I did not skip a single frame...... okay that was a lie. I did skip some in the beginning just because I thought it was going to be another crappy story with sex thrown in there where ever the dev pleased. I am glad that I was wrong. The character models look great and the variety of path choices are amazing, but the story is what kept me going. I'm looking forward to seeing where the road takes the MC. Keep it up man! You're doing great!

....FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK I REGRET PLAYING THIS GAME KNOWING ITS FUCKING ABANDONED FUCKKKKKK THE STORY WAS SO FUCKING GOOD. ANY ANY ANY CHANCE HE'LL BRING IT BACK?
Finally a VN that has a good story, with plenty of room to expand on "what happened to lead up to now" and a believable lead in to the "immortal and have superpowers" portion of the story. Too many are just, I woke up and "bam" I have powers. A good story line goes a long way in my book. The renders, in my opinion, were great for the .08 verison, and there were plenty of body types to choose from for love interests. I hate to see that this was abandoned, though. Hopefully the Dev will come back and around and give this another go. Gonna keep this version with saves intact, just in case!
